      Hello Mike awesome videos do you think that bike can handle 130-90-10 tires?

    • @MiniBikeMike
      @MiniBikeMike  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mike B: I’m sorry I haven’t responded sooner, but I haven’t had a chance to get back to the shop and physically measure the size of each tire. I will let you know when I get that done.
      Mike O: I’ve not personally tried to fit that size tire, but I’ve read on FB pages that it is possible to fit them to these bikes.

    You are correct Mike, that oil in it is just to keep the internals from rusting. It needs to be changed actually before driving it lol

    • @MiniBikeMike
      @MiniBikeMike  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I tested it once and put 1000 miles on a new Lifan before I changed the oil. That engine still runs great and now has over 6000 miles on it.

    • @MiniBikeMike

      I’m pretty happy with the build quality. If you’re OK with 45mph max riding, it’s great right out of the crate. I wanted to push a tad past 50mph, so a carb, exhaust and wheel upgrade was needed. For $1500, it’s a really good bike.

    • @MiniBikeMike
      @MiniBikeMike  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Depending on the sprocket sizes you’re running, I would say the 140 will pull the 120/90 -10’s a lot better than this 125 did.

    I just bought an icebear and I've never worked on a motorcycle before. I bought two of those Kenda 120/90/10 tires. They're tubeless but you're saying that I need tubes? Do the stock wheels have tubes I can use? Im confused. Lol Thanks

    • @MiniBikeMike
      @MiniBikeMike  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you will need tubes. The rims on these bikes are two halves that bolt together. They won’t hold air without a tube. I believe the stock tubes will be too small, you’ll need 4.00-10 or 4.5-10 tubes.

    Hello Mike,
    I have a speedo question I hope you can answer for me. I have a CT-70 with the Zongshen 190 conversion and the speedo seized up. No I didn’t do a 90 mph blast on it! Do you know if the speed calibration is determined by the gear drive at the wheel? If so, I would think I could use the speedo from a larger 70’s Honda m/c and get a factory looking mechanical speedo with an 80 mph face on it.
    Make sense?

    • @MiniBikeMike
      @MiniBikeMike  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately, I do not know the answer to this. I’ve never built a bike that needed more than the stock speedo. 🤣
