Ive seen bits of it, her hatred for gunn is so bad she is just making up things to hate on CC.
Wonder woman has to exist in this world since this show is canon to the dcu.
I didn’t vibe with it as much as most seem to be enjoying it. I’m a little tired of James Gunn doing the same thing over and over
The mission doesn’t make sense to me. Why even send this untethered loose canon untrained team to a foreign mission? And they were prisoners and are honored guests?
The characters are alright but it just doesn’t come together as well as I hoped. It just feels like James Gunn keeps re-trying to tell a specific story over and over with less limitations on him by studio heads.
They are us government prisoners. Flag dose not wanna be as cruel as Amanda so on the mission they get to be this country's guests
I honestly don’t get how Gunn’s humor lands for anyone, but then again I liked the early years of Family Guy, so I’d always thought that maybe Gunn’s humor would land for me in animation… it doesn’t. Idk what it is, but there’s an almost desperation to be funny in his scripts that I just can’t jazz with. I actually really enjoy his ventures into deeper themes, but I wish he’d stop doing comedies fr
@@famousthaneus9810It’s hit and miss for me too, at least in DC. When he breaks for a pure comedy segment (like the taserface bit in Vol. 2 or the bodyguard bit in CC) it always feels a bit awkward. But the more subtle comedy that is within the characters’ banter and smaller moments are always incredibly charming to me.
@@TraceyTra-kv1xe I get that. But I'm just imagining how you would take prisoners in your country on an international mission. They are criminals. It could cause an international incident. I would understand why you would take prisoners as part of a Black Ops team to execute clandestine missions where the govt could disavow them any time.
@@malekaius this is DC. What doom patrol the ant farm exists
I like to imagine maybe people believe wonder women is dead or she herself is still on the island
Podría ser que simplemente está retirada después de la segunda guerra mundial o lo que sea haya hecho a decidido alejarse del mundo
I just watched this because I saw a trailer for it and said "How the fuck did Blight from Batman Beyond end up in this?!?!?!"
The first 2 episodes are good but I’m not a big fan of the music or the needle drops, especially in episode 2
The music/needle drops in general feels super forced and cringy
Overall I’m looking forward to the rest of the series and DCU
I don't think anyone has pointed this out, but Nando is listening to Guaracha Sabrosona?
I actually the animation was pretty stilted...apart from the action scenes which were actually really good
Glad some folks are into it. I'm not hating it; it just feels kind of disjointed so far. There's the main story, but it feels immediately put on the back burner while we do all this other stuff. Maybe it'll click better for me once we get further in.
I love this show I only don’t like the “adult” scenes, and this might be a hot take, but I have not really loved the music yet it just takes me out of it the scenes. GI robot is my Favorite! I’d get a figure of him so quick
Do you still use the Earthworks icon?
Just a reminder to anyone that was shitting on James Gunn or the DCU you don't deserve to watch this or any other DCU project
I don't think the "wheres the beef" jokes are supposed to land. I that character is the joke, we are supposed to laugh at him, not with him, then (knowing James Gunn) eventually feel bad for him and dissapointed at ourselves for laughing at him
The people need a Far Sector animated show
I liked it, i didnt love it. However, theres no other hand i trust with DC than Gunn.
James Gunn writing at an R rating is very reddit. Redditcore even.
Someone's never seen Super or Slither
Its just howling commandos but with a better direction and director
Marvel already has a movie like this instead of a show lol
bro called Invincibles animation good lmao wtf you smoking
I think the Bride is the one from the old movie, not the one from the book. (That book is WAY overrated in my opinion, just btw.)
I think Nando meant the plot point. In the book the monster did demand Victor make him a bride, but he refused.
It's "The Suicide Squad," meets "Penny Dreadful!"
(Seriously though, did James Gunn straight up rip off the Frankenstein love triangle from PD, or is this a more common adaptation than I realize?)
That's basically their dynamic from the comics, just cranked up to insane levels (in the comics they're more amicable with each other)
@@jordanloux3883 Got it. Thanks for the insight!
@@jordanloux3883 I was mainly referring to the romance between Victor and the Bride. I've only seen this interpretation in penny dreadful. But I wouldn't be surprised if there are other works that feature it.
@@sdaeley17 There's also Lisa Frankenstein (I should get around to watching that)
@@jordanloux3883 OMG like "Lisa Frank?" sounds hilarious!
