@@UStride I chose vinyl wrap because you can peel it off whenever you're bored of it where paint is a little more permanent. Also, if you have a crash or damage the vinyl on a panel you can patch it pretty easy by cutting out the damaged piece and sticking a freshly cut piece down with a heat gun.
Wow! Really nice! TH-cam's getting too smart - I was planning to get an S18 and wrap the panels myself but really haven't been searching for info on it!
Looks really good. If I had one I’d wrap it in the blue or red reflective vinyl they use on emergency vehicles. I’ve got it on my panel van and it shows up brilliantly at night.
Hey Lando. Nice one, I just got my S18 about a week ago and I built a stand just like you showed in the last video. So thanks man, works nice. I got the white one, so I don’t know if I want to change the colour but yours looks so good now😎 I already got a scratch on mine so I’m a bit cheesed off🥸 So I ordered a nice neoprene cover for it, should be here soon. Love your channel and ideas, 👍 👍👍👍👍👍
Good job on this. I'll definitely be wrapping my MSX soon. It's well-used and will take a lot more preparation to even out the gouges and scrapes haha.
How does it seem to stick to the black S18? It seemed like the white one was glossy, so I thought I'd get it to wrap just so it sticks better... but the black could be nicer without?
What was the purpose of the wrap? Aesthetic or protective? I’m thinking that it won’t hold up when the wheel slides out on pavement or gravel. It looks great but I don’t think it’s a good idea in the long run. Just saying. I have an Inmotion V5 starter wheel and my idea fo protecting the wheel is getting the delrin sliders like I have on my Ninja Motorcycle but have the shorter. Instead of 10 mm more like 7.5 or 5 mm. I think 4 of those placed around the wheel would do a better job of protection than a rail or anything else I’ve seen. I think if using a rail it should be wrapped in hard neoprene. Roll safely. ⛑👓👍☮️🌞🌟
Would a hairdryer working in lieu of a heat gun? Also how thick was that vinyl wrap? I'm looking to do the same to my S-18 but not sure what thickness would be easiest to apply.
Wow looks amazing
Thanks for watching, dude. Love your channel :)
@@landocycle most def. I'm debating if to follow what you did or paint?

Yah sanding helps tons, if you have indents maybe try adding some bondo or other filler before sanding!
@@landocycle Great idea!
Nice job! I'd like to chrome mine when I get it:)

Sticked great.

If you can get the hairdryer to get hot enough then probably. I honestly can’t remember the thickness offhand.
I should have wrapped my EUC from the beginning, but with bubble wrap 🤣
Great job Lando ... how much time in total was that project and what was the approx cost would you say?
Hey thanks for watching! It cost $40 Canadian and was about 2 1/2 hours of work.
@@landocycle Thanks
I wondering any one can scan the piece so i could design some pattern on it and 3D print it out as replacement
How much did you have to buy to do this?
I bought about 4’x1x’ but had a little left over :)
@@landocycle nice!
Why don’t wrap the top~
Wow, looks like a great waste of time!
But, if this makes you happy - then why not?😉
