Let me just say. Thank you! Every, and I mean every other video on this guitar, sound like crap holes. I dunno if it’s the audio quality or they just have a bad set up or crappy amp. But they all make the guitar sound super tinny and not pleasing with distortion. I saw you were using a 5150 and immediately clicked and said, “this is what it’s supposed to be played with”. Thank you! I almost took this off my list of potential guitars to buy because the crap sound in other videos. Good job man.
This is a very acurate representation of this guitars tone keep reading an ill explain more. I've played guitar 16 years and had to require all my gear about 8 years ago when I got clean for real and this guitar was part of that process. Here's the deal with this guitar. I've owned one for like 5 years now. It sounds great with my go to set of 10 46 pure blues strings the stock pups were just made for that gauge or lower. I also play a 7 string ltd with active fishman fluence moderns that I use a heavier gauge for (btw an ernie ball cobalt 62 and a regular set of your preferred set of 6's is a recipe for the perfect 7 string set). But any time I've tried even slightly heavier gauges on the SCHECTER I have not liked the results. The stock pickups are actually really nice if your using 10 46 or below, adjust pup height correctly and set your eq for a more classic style sound. I absolutely love this guitar. It was my rock for quite awhile. If your considering buying it I will say its probably not the best metal guitar as is. But it was absolutely paramount to the advancement I've made in skill over the years I've had it. It's just a great all around guitar that will let you cover anything you want to play or practice. I've owned much much more expensive guitars but this one just felt right. Great build quality and not so expensive that I was afraid to hang it high up on my wall in fear it might fall off lol. I do all the work on my guitars and other than locking tuners and a push pull pot replacement this guitar is still origional. (Next week when my new soldering iron arrives I'll install a new 3 way toggle, new puppy chewed through the cord of my 40 watt weller....i think my girl helped him.....im always soldering shit compulsively) Anyway, im using this guitar now through a marshall DSL100HR and an orange ppc1x12 cab with great results but it also sounds great through my old micro terror. Don't expect any guitar to sound epic through a shitty solid state(if you can't afford a tube amp your much better off with a small lunchbox tube amp or tubestate than you are a large peice of tonal solid state junk Please believe that sooner than later if your a beginner). Only good solid state I ever played on was the orange crush 120. Anyways that's my 2 cents.
I own this guitar. You can hear how it sounds from this video, but I must add it feels amazing to play. It is a bit heavy (literally) compared to a similar range Ibanez
Prolly, but Ibanez are built from cardboard anyways, so no contest... Just kidding. By the way, how does it clean up on medium gain? That's an answer I've been trying to answer for a few days...
Damascus Steel absolutely no, you have to have your sound Schecter pickups sound good but if you find the right guitar for your hands you have to look at the sound too
Totally worth it, But you need to do your research. Make sure you know what you want with your tone. The standard passive pickups are already pretty hot and sound a little muddy but if you want a better clarity sound maybe going with something more vintage sounding and pushing the amp and pedals will help push the higher gain stuff might be your better route. I personally had dimarzio's in the omen 6 with basswood and it was still pretty bassy and muddy with dimarzio d activators but I got the omen extreme which has mahogany rather than basswood which should brighten and clear it up more and I'm planning on adding PAF's or putting Gibsons 490r and 490t's in it to give it some dynamic. doesn't hurt to change your caps on your tone control.
@@urbanpeltier1622 Returned it to Amazon. Had so many defects. Crooked neck, neck pickup screw had fallen out, sharp fret ends, etc. Ended up finding a new Cort kx-300 on Reverb for $340 and it's brilliant. So much better quality and has 2 EMG retro-active 77 pickups that sell for $200 alone. There's several non English videos of it on here. Crazy deal and highly recommend. But yeah, I'll never buy another Schecter. Pretty finish but horrible otherwise. Even the switch felt like garbage.
@@urbanpeltier1622 It's all good. I ended up with a much better quality guitar for less $. If you're not familiar with Cort, they are the manufacturer of all the PRS SE guitars, Ibanez, Squires, etc. I believe they're the second largest worldwide.

Probably the best and only review of what this guitar can do besides just metal. Thank you.
Thank you🙏🏻
I've got this same guitar and I love it. I use it live a lot. Love the color and everything about it. Great video!!!
Thank you!
I think a lot of people would be surprised how musical Schecters can be with clean tones.
Just ordered mine and cannot wait for it to show up!!!!
Keep rockin’ man🤘🏻

Excellent playing man. They're such beautiful guitars for the price. I've had about 25 guitars come and go, but my omens always stay.

Had this guitar for 6 years, in trans black. Best guitar I’ve owned purely because of the neck. It’s so thin and easy to play!

The push-pull knob splits your humbucker and gives you a sound more near to a single coil

@@streetrat123 if the knob is pulled up the humbucker you selected with your switch will sound like a single a coil (non the same but nicely near)

Not the FR in the thumbnail
Does the Floyd Rose hold tune well?
This guitar is hard tail, does not come with a Floyd Rose
It has a Floyd rose option. Yes it holds tune well
we can not hear the original sound of guitar because of delay effect
Thank you for the comment
Dude you have a different guitar than what you put in the intro clip
Hi friend...what's the diferent between Schecter Omen Extreme 6 and Vintage series?
Vintage Sunburst is just the color.
This guitar or an ibanez s521
Samudragupta Phukan schecter is better but if you have about $100/150 more you can buy a good ibanez much better (maybe a 90s japanese)
