the size of the sensor doesn't change the plane of focus or amount of background blur. that is changed by the aperture of the lens. that is irrelevant for the purpose of your comparison though. great comparison, and helped me to make an informed decision. Thank you!
I am planning to buy dji pocket 3...now am confused looking at this video. Go pro was not even in my mind. But looks like Go Pro can be a good choice considering price difference
I would highly consider looking at the Insta 360 Ace, which I just made a video about! Pocket three though is super cool with that blurred background however I have found it several times going out of focus.
Honestly if you consider the features on the pocket 3 it's way ahead of the curve however like you said it is not an action camera. I bought the pocket 3 to replace my DJI SC gimbal and Sony ZV1 and still have a Gopro to use for in the rain etc.
@@JM_Tech really like, it's very small and doesn't attract attention, the facial recognition is the best part, tracking and gimbal features just knock it out of the park for me. Also the pocket 3 is 10 bit but the ZV1 is 8 making it even better for color grading. Great video btw mate keep up the work.
I’m sticking with GoPro for the next two years because they have good quality video with 5.3 K quality and since they might be able to shoot in 8K one day I am still going to support them
I just bought a hero 12 and I love it. I was considering getting a gimbal, but the pocket 2 can be had now for about twice the price of the gimbal. Any thoughts on whether you think the pocket 2 is worth it in 2024? It’s under $300 now and readily available. I’m mostly going to use it alongside my hero 12, but for lower light conditions. I know the pocket three has great low light capability, but it looks like the pocket two is no slouch in low light. I would love your thoughts. Do you think it’s worth it in 2024 since it’s under $300 now?
I would get the pocket too because it just looks so much better with the image quality. To be honest, the pocket two is not that much better than the Gopro.
The Osmo has the correct cinematographic lens effect so-called bokeh which is what I get from my RED Digital camera, the GoPro is more for the amateurs so I would definitely go for the Osmo especially if I ever want to mix the footage
Great review!! I have both cameras and absolutely love my DJI Osmo Pocket 3 for vlogging/short form content like reels, tiktoks. I use the GoPro for my underwater/snow activities where I need it to be waterproof or any rough sports I know I might damage the DJI if I drop it! Love both!!! The color and stabilization on the DJI is so worth it. I do really like the GoPro Quik app much better as you can offload your files onto your phone immediately and it's fast to use, less laggy than the DJI Mimo app. I would choose DJI in the end though because I use it more!
Lol. That’s called a gentle leader you can look it up. It’s very soft and gentle and is just sitting on his nose it’s not actually tied. The reason for it is it doesn’t put all the pressure on his neck and instead is a lot safer for the dog!

Pocket 3s weakness is no removable battery which makes it a disposable device a few years down the line.

guys he said the pocket 3 focus only onw thing and the background will be blur. so is there any option for close that focus option?
Increase the f stop and ISO.
The low light performance of GoPro is a weakness that seriously needs improving
