    Lots of car for the money with impressive fuel economy. Much quieter in the interior compared to a Civic and a real auto transmission not a CVT.

    I drive a 2019 and agree with all you say. Add 46 mpg phila to Atlantic City (more on other trips) and a great deal. $16500.00. and it was a no brainer.

    So miss my 2021 Jetta. Traded it for Taos. You mentioned that Jetta 2022 has the same as the Taos engine/transmission. I have to say that Taos has very big lag: sometimes car is not responsive for 2-3 seconds after press the accelerator. And the shift from 1 to 2 gear is ALWAYS after 2.2K RPM... So miss my Jetta...

      @@dlilkingyeah that lag will be real, but it’s a more torque car for what it is and w a baby engine and turbo no doubt you’re going to get some lag.

      I agree with you, even like enthusiast magazines like motor trend aggravate me like they literally say every car is “underpowered”. Accords, Camrys, legacys, like literally almost every single car is under powered to them. Or they say it has a “weak base engine”.

    I would 100% consider one if it had a better stereo with satellite. That standard four speaker set up is horrible. That is the only thing that is keeping me from getting one. lol Its unfortunate you have to step all the way up to the top SEL trim at 30K to get something better.

      I embarrassingly thought that was normal, as it is my 1st car. I usually have music on so I didn't usually hear it though, so I still love it. Sometimes I regret not getting the SEL for the wireless car play & bigger screen, but I think the SE is the best compromise.

    « it has more horse power than last year Jetta ». Thats the funniest thing Ive heard in a while. Oh and fyi, the acceleration from a complete stop or at low speed is good. However, on the highway, when you want to make a pass, the acceleration is pretty much non existent even when you floor it. Volkswagen knows the average consumer is pretty dumb. Most will do just like you…floor it from a complete stop, say « Wow » and come to the general conclusion that the acceleration is good. This car is way underpowered. But ok.

    • @FCNG2424
      @FCNG2424 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      I've done highway driving in a Jetta 5 days a week for over a year. To say the car is way underpowered is simply untrue. The torque is very low-end and makes it relatively easy for merging and passing.

    • @FCNG2424
      @FCNG2424 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      On top of that its got roughly the same horsepower as any other competitive compact car. And has more torque than most as well, along with better fuel economy and a 8-speed transmission which is much better than a CVT
