Hello! I find your channel very helpful! I am having trouble with my three year old thinking he rules the roost around here! He will not nap or stay in his room for quiet time without yelling and screaming, which then wakes and disturbs his twin sisters. Then, I have three screaming babies instead of just one. He knows this and uses it against me. Unfortunately, we have a small house and not much space to separate the kids so they can’t hear one another. Any advice for me? I tried this method today and he seemed completely unbothered by a few diaper swats and continued to scream until he woke his sister. Since it wasn’t fair for her to suffer, I eventually took him downstairs and he fell asleep there. I am not ok with this as a long term solution but am having trouble figuring out what to do. Do you have any advice for me?

Thank you for the kind words. Your son is using screaming as a way to get what he wants. It works, so he continues.
He has expectations that have come from past experience to your responses. Change his expectations and you will change his behavior. The answer is to take charge.
      Here’s how:
Train him screaming is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.
