Fun fact: Emiles skull being missing is not actually a glitch. It's a result of split screen. For some reason the 360 edition of Halo Reach hides a LOT of items from view in split screen (Most likely to save memory and not have to load so much at once) such as trees, grass, flowers, and armor decals like the skull.
It's probably because instead of Parenting the grenade to the character (directly attaching) they are constantly lerping (linear interpolating) the grenades location to the stick location of the grenade on the character (so the grenade is sort of following, not directly attached.) So if the character teleports (gets set to a new location instantly) everything parented (attached) would also get directly teleported, but since its not directly attached but following very fast it flies toward the direction of the player. 3 HOURS?!?!?! Oh yeah! That's what I'm talking about! Better grab some snacks and soda so I can kick back and enjoy all the Halo glitches you guys found over the years.
There's something fun you can do in Halo Reach forge that is kind of a glitch. If you turn into a Monitor and hug the floor while looking directly down, if you make a rock spire the spire will spawn with you inside of it. You can move around freely in this state, and since you're inside the spire you can't be shot, and the spire hitting things at max speed will kill them. IIRC you can also clip through geometry when that happens, but it's been a while so I don't quite remember. Eventually you'll get kicked out of the rock, at which point you will end up somewhere random and quickly glide back to the spire at the position you're supposed to be in when moving it.
Fun fact: that Emile bug that you talked about but sadly you do not have a clip of, actually happened to TheRussianBagder, if you go to his video where he plays Reach on the MCC he has that clip where Emile kills him instantly
Not sure if its been pointed out but in the halo 3 section, you cover two glitches twice. being the halo 3 menu glitch and the flying mammoth via explosives. its around 1:58:08
There are a lot of Halo 5 glitches you left out. But there is one glitch with the railgun that at one point you could make an indefinite explosion to block off areas in multiplayer that was pretty cool.
17:37 Emile launches across because he normally won't be able to make the jump half the time so he's scripted to fly across as to make it look like his Mongoose (which should be going full speed) pulled it off
It took me a couple days and a few sit downs but I finally finished it. You guys have compiled an incredible archive! It's kind of funny how I actually did already know 90% of these, but the new ones were great finds that have kind of inspired me to get back into playing some Halo again. Love the videos! Keep it up guys :)
Once again, at 8:44, this isnt just on original xbox 360, you could do this in MCC too, its just that this is a new recent bug, and the reason this cannot be done anymore is because the update that occurred on December 2022 accidentally removed seraph fighter craft, anti air gatling gun fire, and respawnable allies and enemies dropships, to answer anyone that is wondering why the level feels empty, at the facility doors, but it's something you wouldn't notice if you weren't told, or compared it.
The level regret had so many Easter eggs and glitches to do. At 1:11:13 you could get up and out of the map without the skulls activated. I pulled that trick off back on the old halo 2 Xbox.
Halo CE cryotube always had the armor in it if you look at the right angle, part of the trick they used to have your body visible in first person before they actually implemented a viewable player body, you can actually jump or jump then crouch into it before it closes and get trapped in there.
Something that ALWAYS happens in campaign and multiplayer is my sound setting constantly resetting to default (I always turn sound effects down) and also if I get blown up and his a ceiling, my ragdoll almost always gets an arm stuck, this also happens to brutes and elites.
Ah yes I remember getting outside into space in the campaign on halo 4 and infinite waves of enemies would spawn. It was the firefight halo 4 never had lmao
1:40:53 this works with the Pelican as well! I have the footage on my Xbox live account. The trick is to use acrophobia and to fly to the top of the Pelican when it’s “prepping” for launch and its being moved with the overhead crane. You have to land and walk exactly near the middle of the fuselage roof so when the Pelican starts to move from under the crane to pick up the marines your Spartan “glitches” through the hit box of the Pelican and lands in the inside of the cargo/troop area of the Pelican while the rear door is still closed. After the marines load up or the pause (if the marines are all dead) and the Pelican starts to head out of the hanger, walk backwards (ensuring you are hitting the bulkhead between the cockpit and the cargo bay) so you don’t slide out of the rear of the Pelican and you should be “forced” through the invisible wall that normally prevents you from leaving the area.
I actually have a clip of the Emile glitch where he kills me by armor locking exactly like you described! Also, on 343 Guilty Spark, you can actually just stay in the pelican and ride it out of the map by holding the triggers, instead of trying to jump onto it.
There's a glitch in Halo Reach Forge in which you can make yourself invincible using the armour lock and going into the menu/options. I don't remember it exactly but it's real and was on 360. A great counter to a friend spamming a kill ball on you or whatever
On AOTCR the final hunter pair found at the base of the ziggurat are "sleeping". In other-words their AI is turned off. This happens whether you steal one of the banshees on the ice bridge or go down there normally through the doors on the far end of the bridge. If you get a ghost onto the small elevators on AOTCR the ghost (with you in it) will slip through the floor of the elevator, you and your ghost will fall to the bottom of the elevator shaft unharmed and potentially soft locked if you don't have any grenades or a rocket launcher. Sloth, for the glitch you found in Halo Infinite (the one where you were stuck in the spartan body but could look around in it) thats caused because of how you earlier went up to the little windowed area with the door that you wanted to go in, not because of the gondola ride, that little windowed area is a different part of the level that breaks the whole thing if you go up to it.
37:38 you got a little editing glitch here 😊 I'm enjoying the 3 hour vid so far Really brings me back to when TH-cam first started and all I would search is "Halo easter eggs and glitches"
I really like this video. I think its great entertainment but also a good way to anthologize these glitches. It didn't really strike me till viewing the falcon glitch on the first H:R mission, that I will likely never experience with a buddy ever again. As Halo MCC becomes the go-to and supported way to play older Halo's, we are getting 343i's version essentially. Not to bash, just saying they touched some things a bit, and they probably had to in order to make it work. Is what it is. But it just kinda feels a bit sad, and like a dying of a piece of my childhood to realize that every single time I run through a H:R campaign session with a homie from here on out I will always stop by that rock with a plasma pistol and they might not know why, but for me its instinct.
@rocketsloth 18:40 that "glitch" can be replicated with 100% consistency. Its intentional design to save on RAM and resources when playing splitscreen, It's not a glitch. Same thing happens if you see anyone in multiplayer rocking emiles helmet.
The Dare being airborne thing sounds like a safety check. If she's 'airborne' she may be stuck and unable to path to the door, so the door unlocks automatically so the player doesn't get softlocked.
There's a way to get out of the Ivory tower map on Halo 2. If one person crouches on the ledge by the overshield and another person lunges at them with a rocket launcher, they fall out of the map
Dude at 2:48:41 it's not one, it's not two but three Spartans all fused together, if you look closely to are the same and 1 is different and not only that but you can see 3 different weapons, a needler, sniper and battler rifle or what ever its called
1:58:03 FLASHING LIGHT WARNING should have been given, it almost gave me a headache and then u literally repeated the same glitch at 1 hr 59 min so you did flashing lights twice without a warning. It was about the main campaign menu screen and then blowing up the elephant glitch. I guess im the only one who noticed. But i hope no one got any seizures because of this.
You forgot to add the glitch on Halo CE bloodgulch where you can use a warthog to glitch into a rock by yourself. And there’s also the plasma pistol glitch where you can make your hand shake like it was charging
I love this video, you guys are my FAVORITE Halo channel. TH-cam shows me this video all the time and I FEEL something when I see your thumbnails. Nostalgia, pride in you, and an overwhelming sense of community. I pray you two grow and blossom on every platform. Thank you for what you two do!
The halo 5 death barries one just has me like..who discover this and how? Like "oh im back at my xbox after being gone for 3 mins left me test the death barries for no reason to see if they changed" 😂
I still have a Halo 3 glitch on my channel from 13 years ago (getting into space on Valhalla) that I don't think anyone else knows about. I don't think I ever made a guide for it. Essentially you would dummy a turret in forge mode as connection host, then the host can hang out on the turret as someone else shoots it around outside of the map. You won't die due to the death barrier. Fall to the bottom of maps, top of maps, wherever you want to go. Completely avoids the death barrier (but you need to remain on the turret).
Going in, this better have super bounce/jump from halo 2 Later: sort of had it. Talked about it in general. Wish you talked about the Zanzibar one in particular for getting on top of the base
On 343 guilty spark, if you throw a grenade and keep the grenade trigger held down as soon as you take control of cheif, it will allow you to stay in the pelican until it crashes out of bounds :)
Delta Halo and regret don't use the same canvas, they are the same map. It was originally going to be one level, but it had to be split into two because of technical limitations. The same applies to a lot of Halo 2 levels, outskirts and metropolis, the heretic station, quarantine zone, basically all of those 'two part' levels were originally one level, but the engine/OG xbox just couldn't handle it. I think earlier in the development the last four levels were not going to be intercut and would've each been one level, with more to follow, but when they cut the last few levels off the game they had to adjust it.
I always think, man I love your guys content so much, but feel like the videos fly by. “ like because of how enjoyable it is “ now I can watch this for the next few days.
1:32:58 this is caused by the Olifant’s collision box interfering with Virgil’s hit box. Apparently sometimes Dare will stop the Olifant too far up or something and when Virgil “spawns” outside the Olifant, the collision box from the Olifant will interact with Virgil’s hit box and force kill him. I had this happen to me many times, and once I just parked the Scorpion so the Olifant wouldn’t go down the tunnel and the game just yeeted the Olifant with Dare and Virgil still inside it, into the final scene of the mission, of course the Olifant despawned but Virgil and Dare spawned outside unharmed. I have the footage on Xbox live.
Probably been pointed out already, but that floating box in Halo 2's Regret was on the og Xbox version too, if I remember correctly you can actually press it. I believe it's the control switch that belongs to the gondola that makes it move
I believe what you say I been watching you guys for a few years now I know you don't lie in your videos another awesome video ty for the video hope you guys the best.
18:36 apparently, It looks like that halo fan is an Dale Earnhardt Sr. Fan. You can briefly see his NASCAR competition number on the upper right of your screen for a half a second.
Most of the video: cool glitches that you have to go out of your way to see Halo infinite part of the video: it’s amazing the game even worked the first few months
1:43:52 I discovered a time travel glitch years ago that takes you from the first tower where the 2 Prowlers come out. Not one speed runner has used the route that Ive done. You go from the first tower, follow a super specific path walking and boom, checkpoint, both hornets fly down and the scarabs spawn. It can be done solo and all it takes is either a fuel rod gun or a couple grenades. I don't know if Im the only one that knows it but i've researched and found no avail on if anyone has tried. I might try it and set a time and see what happens. You walk up the hill and go straight a ways, drop down, walk back a tiny bit and it all spawns in. Im babbling along but yea, kinda boggles my mind how much time it saves rather than just running/using the ghost to the 3rd tower.
One of my favourite things to do with friends in Halo 2 was jumping on the pelican on new Mombasa. If you manage to survive where the pelican cashes, you can flip the pelican and launch each other into the sky
In Reach's Forge World, you missed including the out of bounds water area to the sea you could get to and build in(not talking about the inside bounds water you talked about). That was the main area that most under water map content was made. It was a pretty big area as well, surprisingly. Maybe 5 Spartans+ deep too. Edit: 37:37 looks like you had a leftover edited second from Halo4 left over in your CE section. 1:40:32 is probably my favorite one I've seen haha. 1:59:02 is a duplicate segment you just talked about 2 points before, were you covered the same 2 points again.
In halo 4 if u jump onto the rear landing gear of the pelican and wedge between it and the body, it will retract and squeeze/launch you. Probably cuz it thinks you're inside
Relatively unrelated to this video but it is at the same time, In the Halo reach glitch you mentioned of Emile launching you into a wall, the exact same thing happened to the russian badger in his halo reach video
I discovered a glitch in Halo CE where certain objects were invisible including a random marine’s head. And also the Emile glitch was captured by TheRussianBadger in his Halo Reach video I believe
Oh man, I could've given you a buuuunch more for H2. Fall timer deactivation, invincible old man, scarab deload, three weapon glitches, spawn skips, we run into a lot of stuff. If you talk to speedrunners in general they'll probably know a lot of weird ones for every halo game, if you ever wanna do a part 2.
A few weeks ago I found a flamethrower I halo 3 odst in the mcc so I would love it if you made a video to all the hidden power weapons that are hidden in every game. (I found the flamethrower on data hive right before Dare starts to say how sorry she is, you would have to go straight instead of turning right the at the end of the tunnel on the right side is the flamethrower. And yes you can use it against the covenant for quite a while).
I think the friendly elite glitch also works if you get a sword elite to chase you into the room You might also be able to launch elites into the room with grenades if you turn on cowbell, but I've never done that before
There was one glitch in Reach that I found involving a landing pad and a Falcon on forge mode, I moved the landing pad forward, and for some odd ass reason the Falcon launched itself forward at godspeed and flew across the entire Forge World map. I also discovered something similar in Halo 4 with the Scorpion and a landing pad.
also the box on delta halo is for the gondolas. Every script in halo needs to be attached to an object, basically, and that holds the script for activating the gondolas. People have reached it, it's basically a placeholder left out in the open from development, when it should have been removed or hidden outside the geo. Pretty sure general kidd has a video on it, and on the one in High Charity, where it does the same thing for one of the light bridges. You can get to it easily with mods. People like to argue about what it does to this day, but it's just a placeholder thing for the gondolas. It's probably left in from when the level got in two, and since you're not supposed to be there in Delta Halo, well they never cleaned it up. People like to still argue about it to this day, even though i'm pretty sure data mining has confirmed that's just for the Gondolas. Then again, people still think the Tri-Gates are real.
So, wanted to comment about it but in Halo 3 there is an glitch to get out of the map Isolation, it's a simple bug however when I tried to replicate it on MCC the glitch was surprisingly patched, and I attempted to replicate 3 months ago and from my knowledge it was never posted about online.
@17:40 the mongoose bridge thing isnt a glitch. It's more of a failsafe to make sure you clear the bridge. The same effect is used abundantly in games like Portal 1 & 2, and even some racing games like Burnout.
another glitch on New Alexandria (at least on the 360), there’s a glitch in the hospital to where you can bait the door on the way out and get stuck inside the hospital. The door locks so you can’t do anything besides reset the checkpoint
Dude! What is funny is sometimes, very rarely, I will get on the elevator at the end of the maw on ce, after it stops moving down and I kill the enemys, it still leaves me behind, lol.
For 343 guilty spark, if you spam throw all your grenades before it forces you out of the pelican it'll keep you in and you'll get a ride in the pelican to the outside of the level and can walk around etc. Just easier to do then timing jumps
10:44 yes!! Me and my friends use to go down to that area and do like jousting is such dumb fun, but you can actually get down there without doing the first step, couldn't tell you how because we didn't find a consistent method but sometimes we would jump down and just, survive? I'm really glad this was in the video
There's a glitch/exploit on Halo CE on Blood Gulch where you can navigate a ghost off the map and into outerspace, to where it's barely visible with a sniper rifle, but can still shoot down into the map. I Halo 2 in Terminal and Waterworks, you can use the wraith to move crates to block the base back and side entrances, forcing them to go in through the front door.
I've noticed animation inconsistencies in Halo CE during co-op that wasn't mentioned. Flashlight follows the guns but it's actually attached to your armor. Master Chief punches with the opposite hand if you're looking at your partner, as opposed to what they are seeing first person.
Your spartan ops issue where the LAST GUY was lost somehow on the cliffs above and you can't get to him. I happened to me!!! exact same spot, no joke. I was only on normal. but yeah, happened. I thought it was a failed phantom drop.
2:47:17 - This likely happens because an error / issue happened during saving or "committing" the setting to memory/a server and then the game rolls back to what the setting state was before. Imho, pretty common in software.
In halo reach, if you stick someone and they use teleporters the grenade won’t teleport. It’ll just fly through the air to the person it was stuck to.
Test to see if someone can get in the middle of that and get stuck instead
I never even considered that the character model would still exist during the teleportation
technically it does teleport but the trail effect is still drawn from the start point to the new end point instead of being given a new start point

343 intentionally left this bug alone for the remaster because of how iconic the resulting elite is, so it's effectively a feature rather than a bug.
37:38 you got a little editing glitch here 😊 I'm enjoying the 3 hour vid so far
Really brings me back to when TH-cam first started and all I would search is "Halo easter eggs and glitches"
I was looking for someone to point that out
@@ihaveleshingles5773 honestly there's a ton of editing mistakes like repeating clips and stuff like that. Think they really rushed this one
I did all the forge world stuff as a kid and this made me cry from all the happy memories
This video it self has a little bit of glitches🤤
37:37
Perfect video to watch before bed! (In all seriousness, the dedication you guys put into these videos is amazing, keep up the amazing content :D)
Going in, this better have super bounce/jump from halo 2
Later: sort of had it.
3 hours... oh man this is going to be good!
I always think, man I love your guys content so much, but feel like the videos fly by. “ like because of how enjoyable it is “ now I can watch this for the next few days.
Thank you for inspiring me and for best halo content on yt🥇
Short answer is NO: *Spartans never die, they're just missing in action*
This is the only content i ever need. Rocket. Sloth. Baby.
The Emile one I've had happen to me. It's one of the results of the game beginning to run out of internal resources if I remember correctly
18:36 apparently, It looks like that halo fan is an Dale Earnhardt Sr. Fan. You can briefly see his NASCAR competition number on the upper right of your screen for a half a second.
Most of the video: cool glitches that you have to go out of your way to see
Halo infinite part of the video: it’s amazing the game even worked the first few months
Yay! Something to watch while building my halo mega construct set!
One of my favourite things to do with friends in Halo 2 was jumping on the pelican on new Mombasa. If you manage to survive where the pelican cashes, you can flip the pelican and launch each other into the sky
Took me 6 days but I finally finished the whole vid, thanks for making it :)
Hope you enjoyed it!
When I’m anxious at work I just play this video.
hi I’ve been watching you guys for years now and I find your channel very useful and helpful for different parts in halo franchise
And also the Emile glitch was captured by TheRussianBadger in his Halo Reach video I believe
i just made a sandwich and some lemonade, i discovered this video existed. i can die happy now
Oh man, I could've given you a buuuunch more for H2. Fall timer deactivation, invincible old man, scarab deload, three weapon glitches, spawn skips, we run into a lot of stuff.
If you talk to speedrunners in general they'll probably know a lot of weird ones for every halo game, if you ever wanna do a part 2.
I found a glitch in halo 2, where if you stand on top of friendly elites just right, the elite will look at you, and their head will vibrate
i noticed you put the halo 3 menu close up camera glitch twice but still amazing work
A few weeks ago I found a flamethrower I halo 3 odst in the mcc so I would love it if you made a video to all the hidden power weapons that are hidden in every game. (I found the flamethrower on data hive right before Dare starts to say how sorry she is, you would have to go straight instead of turning right the at the end of the tunnel on the right side is the flamethrower. And yes you can use it against the covenant for quite a while).
Check it if you want to, It's real fun using it😊.
Im not the first to find it, there is an old video about it explain where it is
I think the friendly elite glitch also works if you get a sword elite to chase you into the room
You might also be able to launch elites into the room with grenades if you turn on cowbell, but I've never done that before
2:52:00 it sucks that they never patched this back in after they took it out
There was one glitch in Reach that I found involving a landing pad and a Falcon on forge mode, I moved the landing pad forward, and for some odd ass reason the Falcon launched itself forward at godspeed and flew across the entire Forge World map. I also discovered something similar in Halo 4 with the Scorpion and a landing pad.
2:37 we do have proof of the emile glitch on RussianBadgers video on halo reach
Ooookaaaayyy I'm gonna have to watch this in parts, thanks for the upload! I'll watch all 3 hours +
also the box on delta halo is for the gondolas.
The Emile thing is called an NPC bump. It happens and is pretty funny when you die because of it
@17:40 the mongoose bridge thing isnt a glitch.
Slight editting issue at 37:38, apart from that, 11/10 video, recently getting back into Halo and love extra long vids!
I watch 20 mins of these every day
34:52 very nice transition
I always love the use of the megaranger theme in youre videos
In halo reach when Emile’s skull doesn’t load in it’s due to split screen on the 360, it’s the same for his helmet in multiplayer when in split screen
Thanks!
I’m high watching this video outside on the patio drinking ice tea😌 it’s 2am
I think you're the best TH-camr in the world I love your videos and shorts they're amazing
the emile helmet glitch is a splitscreen thing, which also works in local multiplayer if you’re playing splitscreen
2:47:17 - This likely happens because an error / issue happened during saving or "committing" the setting to memory/a server and then the game rolls back to what the setting state was before.
Imho, pretty common in software.
Making Johnson go feral on the last level of halo 3 then become a flood was the highlight of my halo glitches
