Hello Pete my name is Bob and I am from South Korea. I have been subscribing to Carrot Corner for quite a while and have been really appreciating your content. It really helped me approach poker in a better way. I have a favor to ask you, would you let me translate/dub your videos into Korean so I can share this with the Korean community? Thanks a lot again :)
Yep, I like this content. I like the concentration on the single hand i.e. AK. I would definitely like to see more "problem" hands played out in this way. I'm a CPS student and I like the "suggestions" as to what my internal dialogue should be in these situations NOT because I need you to tell me what I should be thinking but because I need a prompt to flag up all of the considerations I need to have when faced with these situations. A long sentence that I hope made sense. I like it.
Great content as always! I was a bit surprised, you didn't 4B the AdKd at 20:22. It's obv a +EV call but it performs even better as a 4B imo. Thx for all your content - it's golden!
Looking at the solver for first hand it pure bets AK otr for 10% sizing :D Also AKs becomes better 4b 200bb deep you will face less 4bet because SB cant 4b JJ/QQ for value and you block AA and KK.
Can we get a video on defending against 3bets with low EV hands (i.e. pocket pairs) OOP? These hands are 0EV calls preflop, so I would be interested in your thought process on both when and how to play them :)
Hi Pete ! On the 1st spot, when the flop goes check/check, isn't it the same condensing effect as if it was small cbet/call type action for IP's range ? As he's going toward middling stuff by not float betting this flop right ? As he would by calling a small cbet. Hope that's clear.
Hi Pete, amazing content as always. I have a little request, sometimes when hand finish at the turn, can you please tell us what you will do on river if called? I mean on specific runouts like blank or when you pick TPTK etc.
Yep more videos like this would be appreciated !! What caught my eye on to watch this video was the fact that it was based around a frequent situation that occurs as well as pinning it down to one hand (Ak) in multiple spots
People usually play AK too aggressively post flop and QQ too aggressively pre-flop. Best way to remember is that: AK should be played like AA preflop, so Play with more aggression than even KK. QQ should be played more conservatively pre-flop but can go for value post flop on undercards.
The hand where you tripled barrel AsKd on 4-J-3-8-T. Your river jam is 3x pot because you and villain are so deep. If you both start 100bb deep, do you still jam river there?
Did a 6 hour session today and got AK like 5 times. Man I wish I saw this video before I played. Would love to see some content on what to do when your check raise gets called. What do you do when villian continues betting? What about when they check? What about when you hit? What about when you miss?
My poker buddies already call me a fanboy, but you're just putting out the best content by far (and I say that as a tournament player). I hope I can afford the CPS one day. Btw, do we already get access to your discord if we only purchased the Poker Therapy book?
Hello, could you explain why AQhh can be a call on flop HH1?you said call AQ with bdfd but after that yu said call AQhh cause it has good SV,but isn't less SV thant AQbdfd?or is it because we unblock fd?
for my fellow American viewers - In Europe (generally) when they say "1st floor" they are referring to what we would call the "2nd floor" when they are talking about what we would call the "1st floor" they say (I think) "ground floor" (which we do use synonymously.) so to us, all their numbered floors are "off by one" when compared to ours.
On J43 rainbow SRP, is this a pure bet for b33 and b75? Is the EV better to bet than check based on the protection we gain from betting? I think I check a lot because I think we have showdown, but I guess that matters more on the turn and River than it does on the flop.
That's an interesting format. Very good content for free, in the future I would like to see how to play low pocket pairs where we don't hit the set, something like BTNvSB/BB 3b pot
My main concern with a lot of passive opponents is they do not like to put money in the pot at all. That is why i thought small bet would be a better line against them because they aren't likely to fold out bad hands but they will call to see another card.
Amazing content, Pete! Keep it up! Love the way you talk about poker. Kinda reminds me on Charlie Carrel. But sometimes even better because you explain things in detail! I played mtts not so long ago, but now I fell in love with cash and going to start my jorney in this format.
19' AcKh on Qh9d5c 4s pur bluff means this combo of AKo bluff 100%?(cause unblocking KQss KQdd KQcc,and there is no KQhh to block because Qh is on the board so it's a prime AK blocking KQ combo)

"Don't say represent the queen? I don't want to hear that reason because it's trash" Why exactly is that trash reasoning (genuinely asking because I don't know)? On some level, isn't a bluff just "representing" xyz on the board? Is it only trash IF you don't also account for the other players stats/your equity/etc, or is it trash period? Love the video!
Check-fold and then berate the dealer is my go-to line.
