      ITS STRESS BAD FOOD HABITS AND OVERALL ENVIRONMENTAL TOXINS. THE NUMBER ONE OVERALL KILLER OF YOU IS CORTISOL/STRESS. THE FOOD IN U.S. ARE ALL FULL TESTOSTERONE KILLER. YOU SHOULD ALSO CHECK YOUR ENDOCRINE SYSTEM, LOTS OF PEOPLE HAVE SCREWED UP THYROID LEVELS AND ARE NOT AWARE OF IT, YOUR GUT HEALTH, LIVER AND KIDNEYS HAVE TO BE IN TOP SHAPE, THOSE ARE THE THREE MAJOR #1 AREAS THAT ALL YOUR HEALTH ISSUES BEGIN. STAY AWAY FROM WHITE PROCESSED SUGAR, FLOUR AND PROCESSED SALTS ALSO.

  • @benedit71
    @benedit71 4 ปีที่แล้ว +59

    I agree with how stress can affect your testosterone levels. I look back now at my previous job and it explains quite a bit since I left. It was an extremely stressful job that I really disliked for many years. I left when I was about 48 years old, within 1 year my bench went from 315 for one rep to 8 reps. My arms grew to about 19 inches, everyone was asking what i was doing, I was only in the gym 4 days a week for about 90 minutes. I really could not explain it at the time but now it makes perfect sense.

      This is an example of how men from different countries can experience similar situations. I can understand you my friend because for 16 years I too had a stressful job and as a result I became depressed. When I decided to quit then my body changed for the better and most importantly I started laughing again. I wish the best to those who have gone through the same situations.

      Agree .bad ,stressful job , or a marriage where you are constantly accused of cheating, spending weekends with her family,not allowed to have a hobby, friends , or see your family. Or constant threats of living in your car , violent episodes, with conditions for your obedience....! Stay in these situations, you will age incredibly fast and die quicker ...! Seen these situations first hand ....

    I am 55, exercise regularly, talk with my Dr. every 6 months and have blood work done. No need to supplement Testosterone or anything else when it’s not needed. Over doing it can be very harmful. Everything, including my “T” levels so far are good.

    • @76hotdog
      @76hotdog 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      The problem is in trusting your doctors. The "science" of what is a " good" level of anything changes all the time.
      Assuming they keep up on the current medical literature, which most of them don't.
      They revised the Blood pressure tables, the acceptable weight tables, they have revised acceptable cholesterol levels and even "discovered", the good type of cholesterol ( but it was there all the time).
      They revised the food pyramid and eggs went from being bad for you, to being acceptable.
      They really don't know and are just guessing. They call it "practicing" medicine.
      Do what makes you feel good and healthy and forget their guesses and "Practicing".

    • @edgoodwin4389
      @edgoodwin4389 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@76hotdog yes. It all comes down to what makes you feel good and healthy. Genetics plays a major part in it too. My grandfather is a great example. He was constantly dating young women, smoking cigarettes, drinking whiskey everyday and lived a healthy live up to 96. His diet was not terrible but probably not the healthiest. But the guy never had belly fat and was strong as a farmer.

    I'm 33 with a high stress job and a newborn. I got my testosterone levels checked as well as everything else. All of my labs were great but my test was 236. The stress and lack of sleep absolutely killed my testosterone. I knew something was wrong because I was feeling depressed and fatigued all the time. I'm on trt now in combination with anastrozole at the moment. My doc is looking into putting me on hcg so I can retain fertility. I'm a month in and am starting to feel like myself again. I'm hoping after a few months of the trt and proper diet and exercise I'll get back to my old self. I knew stress and lack of sleep was bad but I never knew it would be a bad as it was.

    Working Out for increased natural T:
    Weight lifting is primary. Lift heavy weights, no "tone" 15-20+ rep crap and forgedabout bodybuilding multiple exercises (especially single body part isolation movements) and many multiple sets
    DO compound, multiple joint whole body exercises. Seriously, avoid machines whenever possible. NO isolation exercises for at least six months. So, this means squats, deadlifts, overhead (standing military) press, Bench Presses, Chin/Pull Ups, or Barbell/Kettlebell/Dumbbell rows.
    Research these three programs, choose ONE that works for you, and stick to it for at least half a year.
    1. Starting Strength, from Mark Rippetoe
    2. Power to the People or the Russian Bear program by Pavel Tsatsouline
    3. Stronglifts 5x5 program.
    For cardio: walk with a loaded knapsack-- aka rucking.
    A Kettlebell Swing (RKB "Hard Style") Routine is a GREAT cardio and posterior chain exercise. This will not only improve your butt and your thrusting endurence, it is a proven T-builder. The KB weight should light enough not to interfere with your strength training but heavy enough to achieve results. Most men, starting out with a 35 pound KB is right.
    Get adequate sleep, improve your diet (natural saturated animal fat is actually crucial!), and get some actual sunlight on your head, if not your body. Sunlight produced vitamin D is incredibly important for making T as well as the proven psychological benefits, especially stress reduction, in regularly getting natural light and fresh air.

    I can correlate cats who eat cat food living three times longer than cats that eat their natural diet of rats, birds and insects. It's true.
    The problem is that is what is known as confounding variables.
    The reason cats that eat cat food live three times longer than cats who eat their natural diet is not because of the food. It's because cats that eat cat food live usually with humans in their homes, and cats that eat their natural diet live in the wild, and the protective effect of living in a human's home is not there.
    The confounding variable is the cat living in the humans home.
    What I'm saying is that just because you can link two effects or outcomes together does not necessarily mean that one causes the other. The effects may actually have nothing to do with each other.
    The problem with almost all studies you hear about in the mainstream media and lots of youtube broadcasts is that confounding variables mean that most studies are basically just incomplete evidence, biased and wrong a large percentage of the time.
    Don't always believe what people tell you about results of studies and never believe what they say when two effects are either tied to or linked.
    This is plain old bad science.

Dosages vary depending on your needs, but 250-500 mg per day for at least one month seem effective.

    I've heard a lot about cold showers raising testosterone levels, but it doesn't really make sense to me. I have always finished with a cold shower, but in February I started doing cold water swims (it's now getting too warm), I am not sure it raises testosterone but it sure gives a large kick. All sorts of chemicals are released by the brain among dopamine. It is stress relieving and I feel very powerful after. Perhaps this has an indirect effect on testosterone. Lots of videos about this on YT, search for Wim Hof.

    Is there some reason you failed to mention the fact that drinking alcohol decreases testosterone? I've also read that living in the same house as a woman decreases a man's testosterone level. It may have to do with a woman's estrogen in the enclosed living environment affecting a man's hormone production. It has been known for decades that women living in same household (mother and daughters) develop synchronized menstrual periods.

    i'm surfing thru all those testosterone videos, and it seems like these "specialists" don't really understand hormones and they just copy mainstream informations. Informations that are partially true and partially the opposite.. So i will take my time to straight things up a bit, for you. First of all: the absolute #1 testosterone killer (which guy in the video didn't mentioned) is lack of challenges. Challange yourself often, even in simple daily tasks. For example: measure the time it takes you to clean the bedroom, then try to improve the score every time you clean it. Try to do difficult things. Things that seems impossible are the best, but not many people have the mindset(not skills, not intelligence) to conquest them. So you must adjust difficulity level of the challenge to your own capabilities. Another thing: neither estrogen, neither cortizol are bad for man. In certain conditionds high levels of both these hormones can be highly beneficial. Cortizol have anti-inflamatory properities and gives you and energy burst in tought situations. Estrogen have many, many positive effects also: improved endurance, higher pain resistance, enhanced mental toughness, higher empathy, emotional and verbal intelligence, increased protein and calcium sythesis and many more. And these fellas constantly explaining how bad estro and cort is for a man. Yes when you have low T and high estro and cort, you won't feel good and you propobly won't perfrorm good on daily basis. But high testosterone combined with high estrogen, cotrizol, HGH and other hormones can make you almost unbeatable.

    • @glennpowell1838
      @glennpowell1838 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you Ua Alal for those points. Very interesting. How can you prove that a lack of challenge destorys testosterone? I know I am lacking that in my life

    • @monnoo8221
      @monnoo8221 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      hi, good point with the challenge. Yet, key point is not the challenge itself, but the success. Both together is called Eu-Stress = good stress, and that is what keeps you alive... here you are right. So if you challenge yourself in the wrong way, you just will create bad stress = distress, bad stress.
      Yet, you are not right about cortisol. The guy in the video correctly mentioned the imbalance. If you have a lot of distress, the cortisol axis will keep being elevated , and that turns T production down, down to complete hormonal castration. If cortisol goes up, and you are able to get it back down again, eg by sleeping enough, then, ok.

      @@glennpowell1838 you're welcome. i think i wrote an answer before, but i must have deleted it, as it was too painfull to read sober :) Forgive me, but i never comment sober.. never mind.. right now i will focus as much as possible on trying to help you. So..: #1 if you want 100% reliable scientific proof, then i'm sory but i connot give you that, as i never made any proper experiments myself. Points i've wroten in my 1st comment, are conclusions extracted from studies i've rode, observations i've made and random chats with the right people at the right time, that gave me important info to make those theories work(at least for me:)). Fuck me.. where do i start... Maybe at first, you should read about basic traits and behaviours testosterone is promoting in human males. Fuck being hairy or baldy, having low voice, or big dick, there are no DIRECTLY proportional dependencies with those traits and T levels. TBH it's hard to say clearly what traits exactly are promoted by testosterone, becouse in different conditions different skills are needed to survive. If you try to include psychology and personality types it get's even tougher. Saying that, there are characteristics that occurs more often in high testosterone males, that would be: high competetivness, high analitical inteligence, relatively thick bones, relativeley high physical capabilities. ability to learn and adapt quickly. But also: lack of patience, low emotional durability, being prone to addictions. lack of devotion to family, being selfish. When you lick those subjects, then proceed to studies about generational decline in testosterone levels, then Calhoun's experiment. Then there was that military experiment i don't recall the name right now, in which there was 2 groups of soldiers, that had 2 different commanders appointed for the certain period of time. First group had "good, nice, softly spoken" commander. Second group had, harsh, cursing, bully commander. Research revealed, second group had way higher test lvls (i don't remember exact numbers) by the end of the experiment. Then dozens more different studies. Then compare our living conditions to our's fathers and grandfathers. Compare their challenges with ours, compare testosterone levels. Think about reasons why testosteron and other hormones are even present in nature . As you go deeper into subject, it should make more sense. Last thing: testosterone will always rise during challenge. But when challenege ends, depending on result, testosterone can either drop or rise. Simply: when you win - T rises. when you lose T drops. Differencies can be up to 20% . May not be cleanest answer, but i hope i've helped somewhat atleast :)

    good info! I eat a LOT of cholesterol. Saturated fats, as the man says helps support testosterone (animal sourced saturated fats). I didn't know about the low carbs potentially hurting test levels, but I'm safe there since I always eat carbs. Would love to see some research on the low carb/ low test link.

    Hi, can you further explain how spinach kills your testosterone? I didn’t hear you go into detail concerning it. I’m 39 and I personally eat spinach often and I’m curious because after getting my testosterone checked by my primary physician, my T levels were significantly high. I’m not saying it’s directly because I eat spinach, but I’m saying that even though I do eat it, I haven’t noticed a reduction.

    On the contrary my testosterone was 150 or lower when I was working out munching on a lot of carbs. Turned pre diabetic. Went on keto which is basically no carbs at all except green leafy veggies . 6 months later dropped to 11% body fat fro 14% and raised my testosterone to over 350 so carbs at least in my case was the enemy and too this day 2 years later still keto for life . At 55 yrs old feeling and looking the best I ever have and my pre diabetes gone and back to normal..

    While I agree with you on the egg yokes, you are dead wrong on the low carb diet and testosterone. I worked in medical research for 27 years, and we concentrated on low carb dieting. And I can tell you from empirical experience that low carb diets do NOT lower testosterone. That's just ridiculous.

      That´s right! Ketogenic dieat is perfect for health and hormones due to the cholesterol importance for hormones, carbs are detremential for health and hormones.

    so how do you make sure you get 8 hrs deep sleep? how do you stop your body from waking up at night? sleep is not a thing you can control by will alone.

    Spinach doesn’t decrease testosterone levels, it boosts them actually as it contains magnesium which is one of the essential components to the production of testosterone. One ones going to just eat a bowl of spinach on its own so relax
