Nice boat! I think you will find that boat can take you more places than you think, especially with having the confidence of a new motor. Simpler is often better...and cheaper. Great video!

Yessah I go out to the same zones and dive in a 18ft boat. Always got sea sick for like a good 10 trips in the beginning and slowly with time on the water it went away. Just have to constantly go and feel horrible till you get prone to it. 😂

Was diving 70-105’ that day but the Uku was super shallow lol
There are pros and cons to gutting fish in the water and out of the water. When ya do it out of the water really the only cons are how nasty it can be.. when ya hit them in the water it can chum the water which depending on where you’re diving can make the fish more lively and the sharks but you seem to not have any issues with gutting in the water over in Hawai’i compared to someplace like Florida/Bahamas where gutting in the water would render your dive spot useless cause of all the sharks and you’d have to find a new spot😅

@@hawaiihammahs 😬 oops thought is was waterfall by wainaku old sugar mill the little beach right after first point going north on boat leaving Hilo bay, secluded lil beach with high cliffs really small beach me and my daughter use to got there and Holo holo we had to walk through tunnel and drop in on sketchy ladder to beach, beautiful lil spot! Has lil water fall there also!

Natural product called Motion eaze (sp). Little vial of essential oils to put under the ears. Works even after feeling sick

Dive more. Go to spots that are really difficult to get to (4wd, hiking). Shoot Roi and chum it in 50’+

If you know that you are diving the day before take Bonine with dinner, that way you sleep off the drowsiness and the medicine will still work the next day. Also Ginger Shots while on the boat helps. Great videos

Two overnights on Conanicut Island RI, USA 07/08-09/2023. Shore dive off the lighthouse with just my buoy, flag, dry bag filled with supplies, and my gun. Snapped up a fat striper each morning (28" then 30.5'), strung him to the buoy, and just walked out. Made some lemon, dill, salt/butter fillets the first day and then one Jamaican jerk and one garlic/butter fillet the next. Sick weekend of diving; had all my weights dialed in and barely needed to kick to get to the bottom. It's only a short swim off the shore to get to where the fish are, but the water is milky white and vis is only 2-3m. Hunted the top of an 80' drop in about 8m just behind the ledge so the sun would cast a shadow against the fish and make them easier to see in the murk. Had new 16mm standard bands on my RA Tuna 90 Roller cut to 56cm that were perfect to launch a 7mm 130cm shaft. Blasted my first bass through the murk just beyond the visible range and got him right behind the gill plate. Same deal the next day, but hit him low through the belly. Both fish put up a hell of a fight and I had to use my real seriously for the first time. Shallow quick shore dives both days, but very successful and in some of the best conditions I've ever seen off the island. Sick to get a new HH vid heading back to work on Monday!

Gutting and scaling fish on land benefits your gardening in potted ornamental plants or just for your fruit trees and vegetables. If you do have a garden. Berrying all the gut from your catch next to the crop you most desire. And watch your plant or plants morph and transform into a bigger and better tast😮crop. And add wood ash or charcoal to the soil along side the fish guts. This feed the plants and benefits the soil by bringing and building nutrients amending the soil which also builds the soil’s microbiology in microbial life. Practically making your soil a living super soul packed with nutrient rich amenity’s the Organic O.G. Way. Organically Grown. This kind of living super soil was passed down from ancient ancestors that is still in practice today. Keep the ancient ancestral knowledge live.

I prefer to scale / gut in the water but got bumped in the back by a shark the last time. Gotta make sure to keep a look out once in a while for the sharks

I love it! I rock mine with an Aussie reel but I had to rig it up. Spearamerica.com got absolutely everything though! The cool thing about this gun is that it comes with a kicker band. I took mine off cuz I get plenty of power with the roller alone. But if you put the kicker on you can get an 8m shaft and have a sick blue water setup as well.
