I enjoy your adventures on the island with new locations, camping, etc. A successful fish catch is a great bonus. Sometimes the most enjoyable thing is the beauty of a great campsite.

I love watching your fishing videos. I was younger I would try . Makes me want to go get three prong and try! 75 and paclolo makes it hard to go deeper then 10 ft but I can still get in .

Hawaii is an amazing display of geology. That launch point is where the lava ended with a more recent event. With destruction comes beauty!

Growing up as a kid in Hawaii we would go camping and my dad would go spear fishing for our dinner; watching your videos bring back great memories of comfort ❤ I also love your commentary, enjoyable to watch. That vis is ridiculous. I was off Conanicut Island down in RI, USA 06/03 with about 2m vis in 3' swell, heavy wind/chop, but it cleaned up nicely in the early afternoon. Was off the point about 2 hours before high tide at 630am, but no schools of striper came through. Nailed a fat Tog with my RA Tuna 90 Roller I rigged myself and hunted my butt off for a striper till about 230pm. Prayed to the ocean for a shot on one and she blessed me with one, but I was at an odd angle and didn't want to blast my spear into the rocks, so I let him slide by unscathed. Made some delicious tog ceviche and headed home. Sick dive, but nothing like this. Would love to dive Hawaii some day. Much love from North Shore New England!

Yo Brah, I spearfish on Maui, been at it for 54 years! Got the same pan as you do and the same shitty Kastking orange knife. Brah I got a Rapala 9” in my dive bag for 20 years! Still good. Had the Kastking for 3 years, never left my kitchen, never sit in da sink, no dishwasher. Just got off the phone with Kastking “out of warranty” the guy told me he knew about the problem… orange shit coming off everywhere, and he told me to get one with the white plastic handle. Brah return that garbage yesterday. And get a Rapala. Same price, no plastic. Brah I bought mine in 1997 beat the crap out of it, still going strong.
Btw if you ever come to Maui, let me know, I got really good secret spots.

@@Kumukarl I think we just deep fried it. Make big scores X’s. Maybe dust it with some corn starch salt pepper?? The cig could be something to think about tho I haven’t ran into that being a problem in the past and I’ve Ate quite a few.
If you don't like diving in merky water.. don't come dive in NZ 😂😂😂. Was out on the weekend and only had 1 meter at best.
Fillet it and fry it as nuggets, make it into sweet and sour fish or salt and pepper fish Chinese style. really good firm meat. That’s the plan b fish if a doesn’t work out.
