you can only i think use the curve tool in the line art stage layer ^_^ look at the layers section and youll see an icon looking like a pen on paper, click on that and by the brushes you haft to scroll all the way on the bottom and you should see on the left the curve and line tool ^_^

@HanaeXMermaids not trynna be rude, but isnt QUITE OOBVIOUS it was not a picture taken. its way to clear with no light from any direction or any unnecessary shadows and other things
Paint Tool SAI is not free. You can check out their free 30 day trial though :) You must pay somewhere around $55 if you want it. It's worth it because it costs much less than photoshop. And I think making lineart is easy. Not that you sound like a beginner, but I think you should look up some tutorials on how to use it. Amaya has other great videos for Paint tool SAI, I think they're of great value.

I have the SAI trial version. Do you think this might be causing my troubles? All I know is that the curve tool comes with the vector layer, and I don't know how to put the vector layer on! shes using paint tool sai ^_^ you can down load the 31 day trial, just go into google and type in the program name and youll find the full version of it ^_^

um, they should come with Sai. You have to be in a vector layer though to use them. Do you know how to add new layers? Cause if you look right next to that icon, there is one with a pen over the paper. That's the vector layer.
Ichigo Daifuku Yup, I didn't realize it myself when I first started using sai ether. Like you, I thought I just didn't have them. And your welcome. I hope everything works out for you^^
@BboyDrMadison Yea I don't do my lineart like that anymore..the only reason I did it the way I did back then was because I was used to using the pen tool on Photoshop and just got Sai...but hey whatever works for you is the best way to do it^.^
@momoko132 I'm guessing you just turned the annotations off or just ignored them didn't you? Other wise you wouldn't of made that comment...also if you look at my new vids I've done, you'd see that I do use the curve tool now but back then I was more used to photoshop's pentool and it was just easier on me to use the line tool and then edit it, ok>>

first you have to click the "new linework layer" , its beside the new layer and you will find that pen. :)

@Superdarkstar11 when you have to do the lineart go to "layer" and click on "new linework layer" then you'll have that tool =D
Hmm, How do you get the Curse, Line and that other one *the one you used to curse the line tool* Tools, I don't seem to have them?
when you create your lineart layer, you have to click "linework" under layer
That's the only way you'll find that tool :)

did you click on the vector layer...its the one that looks like a paper with a pen on top of it...the line tool should show up if you did...
