- (EN) With the firmware update I made a mistake that made sure that I no longer heard the parts. As I found out, it was due to my foot pedal and the controller settings.
Also learn what the firmware update 1.4.4 improves, and what still can be improved.

Suggestion sent to Medeli for the upcoming updates on (AKX10 and Thomann AK-X1100).
When a song is saved in 'Albums' everything about the performance should be saved eg Quick Setting, Phrase Pad settings, chord on off, intro, all instruments in the parts and the style etc etc. This is currently not the case.
Saving in the Album should be a snapshot of the state of entire instrument apart from 'Global' settings eg Global EQ.
This is how my Korg PA-300 works it saves everything into 'Song Book' the equivalent to Medeli 'Albums'
Such a function allows, in a live performance, the musician to load up a Song/performance simply by loading one of the Albums which they can use straight away.
1. At present I have to remember and separately load in the Phrase pads which I have attached to my song.
2. I have press the correct 'Performance Memory' button to call up the instruments for L1, L2 and L3.
These are all loaded automatically in my Korg when I recall the song from the 'Song Book', very quick and handy. No button presses or referring to a page of notes to correctly set up my instrument, it is ready to play immediately.
You need a way to quickly snapshot everything when recalled from an album to enable the performer to start to play straight away with everything set up correctly.

For those of you who are thinking of purchasing the SX900, please note that I encountered 7 issues upon the first few days of receiving it. Very inconsistent in what it wants to do. The keyboard would suddenly go silent when changing voices, (I'd have to turn it off and on again for the voices to come back.) Sometimes the voices that I saved to favorites would disappear. I couldn't add my 4th track when multitrack recording, even though I tried for hours to troubleshoot. When I recorded the next day, It decided to work even though I didn't do anything differently. Was able to save my song on a usb once. The other times, not only did the song not appear on the drive, but it erased all my saved songs in the user file when I didn't even touch them. The computers they have in keyboards nowadays are too glitchy. Not sure what I'm going to do. The Medeli has no real warranty. That's why it's such a bargain. Makes me want to go back and live in the '50s!

My feeling is that after this upgrade right layer(s) sounds louder then before or some effect works bit differently, has anybody similar feeling? Rgs;Jacek

Question: Did they fix/allocate the memory in this update?
For instance, when I record a Style and all the variation/fill/intro/ending changes, I somehow fill up the memory too soon, and the song/recording ends before I'm done :(

Hello! Thank you for your help and very helpful videos. I have a question about sampling. I'd like to sample a drum kit and can you please tell me how to program closing an open hi-hat when pressing de closed one key. So generally, the open hi-hat is on the A#-note and if you want to close it you can press either F# or G# to shorten the open hi-hat time. Please help. And thanks again.

Reference the fault in firmware V01.04.06. I emailed Thomann and they have replicated the joystick problem on one of their firmware updated Thomann AK-X1100 keyboards. They are reporting the bug to their product management team. Hopefully there will be a new firmware update soon for Medeli and Thomann keyboards.

When I set the joystick to Sound Control on any particular direction, for example to change the rotary speaker speed on an organ sound, moving the joystick will increase the parameter - but then, the parameter doesn’t change back when I release the joystick. This was not a problem before the firmware update.
You can set the rotary speaker fast position by pressing the assignable switch 1, when pushing the stick up.
@@pcpanikMusik Unfortunately that doesn’t seem to work either. Let me hopefully explain more clearly: by default, rotary speaker wet/dry is set to 64 (full). If I change that parameter to 0 and assign Sound Control to a joystick position, moving the joystick increases the wet/dry to 64, but it does not reset back to 0 when releasing the joystick. Before the update, this function worked. Now it does not.
Yes you are right. Something is not working correct. Have the confirmation now from another side and just tried it myself. The values are increased, but not reduced again.
You should send a message to Medeli via the HK website.
Yes I have the same problem after I installed the update. The only workaround is to press the Performance Memory key which has the effect of re centering the joystick. This is a major error on the update software. Introducing mistakes when releasing update is very concerning as my arranger is no longer working as it should. Medeli you need to fix asap. My keyboard is a Thomann so this also needs an upgrade. Medeli please fix as I am very disappointed, to have just updated my brand new keyboard firmware only to find it is now worse than when I got it.
@@dr.davidlisk8197 @DavidHoustonMusic I tried again today and strangely enough I can't reproduce the problem. What exactly are you doing? I did a factory reset and it works as expected.
Leslie or modulation automatically goes back to 0 and is held with the first assignable switch. Have you tried a factory reset? (which would be annoying enough)

Dankeschön..dank deiner Hilfe ,habe ich eine neue Version drauf …kann man , die letzte Einstellungen abspeichern,so wenn ich das Keyboard ausschalte und wieder einschalte so wieder es vorfinde ..
Leg Dir Diene Grundeinstellung auf M1 ab. Einfach alles so anpassen, wie Du es willst und dann "Store" und "M1" zusammen drücken. So kannst Du es nach jedem Start dort abrufen.

Hello I am from Mexico my English is not very good but I will try to explain my problem, when I tried to record a Midi Song a bit long the system stops recording suddenly, it happens in Bar 89.4, a comment appears on the screen RECORDING SPACE FULL. Is it a System error or it needs some configuration adjustment? I have a lot of memory on the Keyboard. When I record a short Midi Song does it perfectly. Can You help me to solve this problem?
If you look inside of the manual, it states at page 186: 16 Tracks, Quick Recording, Multi-track Recording, Track Editing and Quantization 500 songs, 20000 Events max for each song
So, maybe you reached the 20000 events…
If not, you should export your midi file and send it to Medeli, so they can inspect it. www.medeli.com.hk/contact-us

The 512MB and some minor differences between the firmware.
You can install only one expansion pack but you can merge them within the Medeli Grand Suite Software.

If I can afford a Yamaha SX900, should I bother with this unit? Which unit will inspire me to play with it the most. There is no way to demo a Medeli over here.

Major fault in firmware V01.04.06 (on Thomann) and I believe in Medeli firmware update as well, not sure if they are different. I uploaded my update from the Thomann web site link.
Just installed this latest firmware update today and there is a major fault. When using an assignable switch, moving the joystick forward increases the effect to the played sound but on realising the joystick the effect remains. Very annoying. The only workaround is to press the Performance Memory button, this has the effect of re-centering the joystick. I really hate it when firmware updates introduce faults and make your instrument worse. As I understand this update fault is on the Medeli and Thomann arrangers. I note others, in the comments, including David Huston Music, have experienced the same fault.
Medeli need to fix this fault as soon as possible as nobody wants an unusable joystick on their instrument.

I did this, no latency. I even connected my Kawai ES-110 via midi still no latency. Unfortunately I suspect your instrument has gone faulty.
