Thanks for your great videos. Have Medeli or anyone else created an INDIAN sounds pack ? I cannot find these sounds anywhere. Such as Sitar, Santoor, Sarod, Harmonium, Tabla, Bamboo flute, Sarangi, Tanpura.
I liked the ones from the Retro Dance category (maybe because of the age) like Quick Step, Jitterbug and the ones from Eletronic Dance with Galaxy House, Party Dance and Dynamic Dance. The two drum packs but especially the 808 Pro is truly magnificent. I tested and separated only the styles that a colleague managed to extract as a style but the sound is quite poor with the Dance drum of the clapper. The sounds introduced by the expansion are even at a professional level because the dynamics of the low frequencies is incomparable/
Hello I’m having trouble installing this expansion pack. When I put my USB stick which is the one that I used to use in my SP 4200 digital piano so it’s the same company the AKX 10 says format not compatible or recognized as soon as I put the USB stick in. I would think that it would then give me an option to reformat but it won’t even do that so I don’t know what I’m doing wrong or why it’s not working. Do you have any thoughts or can anyone give me help?
Is it possible to copy a style or sound from expansion memory into user memory and then clear expansion memory? This way could also Thomann keyboard import more expansion packs - actually only some styles or sounds from more expansion packs.
I would like to see a review of the mixer function. How do you record sound track by track.

Since you explore all the keyboard features in great detail you might know something about Score Display. The AKX specifications indicate a feature called "SCORE DISPLAY with APP ASSIGNABLE CONTROLLER". I assumed that this would work like in the Yamaha SR950 which can display the musical scores when playing back midi (song) files.
I asked Medeli but they did not provide a specific answer. Other AKX10 players might also be interested and since you appear to have an open line with Medeli, I wonder if you could get detailed descriptions of which APPs they are referring to and how to use it/them.

In the description, the separations are unfortunately missing at this point. What you mean is: SCORE DISPLAY with APP. Then the next feature is ASSINGNABLE CONTROLLER.
I also believe that this is a mistake in the description. Because there is no Lyrics / Score function in the AKX10. At least it is not mentioned anywhere in the instruction manual.
I strongly suspect that Medeli originally planned this and either forgot to implement this feature or it was later deleted, but they did not change the description.

Yes, I guess you are right and it's a pity that such function is missing because the high definition screen would make Lyrics and Scores easy and pleasant to read. I wonder and hope that Medeli will implement such function which is also a good learning tool that many would find quite useful.🎹

Since I don't own the Yamaha DG 670 and haven't tried it, I can't comment on it or give any advice.
Again, simply answered, no, this isn’t a toy compared with the Yamaha. I own The S600 and this medelli has a much more clearer grand piano sound.
Maybe The chip used is maybe an older one but the features and build quality of the medelli is very good for its price..

Can someone confirm if this keyboard will read sounds and styles from Yamaha psr a5000 ?
It does not read any Yamaha Styles. You have to convert them with the Grand Suite v2 Software

For the money, I think that this is a very nice instrument.
Among other things, I generally find the Phrase Pads sounds on this AKX10 more pleasant than the ones on my Yamaha PSR-S950.
However, when I select Phrase Pads while playing, I would like the option to fade them in/out and gradually blend in with the rest of the music, rather than start and stop abruptly. Do you know if there is a way to apply a global setting to achieve this?

You can achive this with the Expression Pedal setting in the global menu.
Global > Pedal > Pedal 2 > Master > Volume
Then apply only to the Phrase Pad, in the left bottom
Another way would be Style > Fade In/Out and again apply only to the Phrase Pad

Habe versucht nach deiner Anleitung das Pack auf das Thomann AK1100 zu installieren. Das funktionierte leider nicht. Frage: geht das wirklich nicht, oder liegt der Fehler bei mir…?

I can not make this keyboard connect with the ipad. I have connected the usb a to usb b cable to the back of it and then to the ipad using the camera usb adaptor. And it was supposed to work, but it doesn’t. I can see some settings in MIDI but I don’t really understand them, although I pressed all of them and still doesn’t work. Any ideas?

Hi once again Thanks very helpful can you do a video on how to upgrade i noticed there is a file to ugrade the medeli AKX10 please show us how many thanks
Unfortunately this is not a newer version when I tested it. However: How the upgrade works is explained in detail in the download as a PDF. But here you are:
1. Download and unzip the firmware-ZIP-file
2. Copy the .FUP File on a clean USB Stick (FAT32 Formatted)
3. Eject the USB Drive after copying with Windows "eject", to make sure the files are intact.
4. Turn of the AKX-10 off.
5. Hold [STORE] + [M1] +[ M3] and then turn the AKX10 on.
6. The Update Interface appears
7. Plug the USB Stick in and wait.
8. Hit the "Start Update" button and wait. Do not turn off power.

Inside every expansion pack download is a pdf with a list with the content of the pack. Just check.

Hallo, ich habe versucht, dieses Expansion Set mit dem Älteren zusammenzuführen, bekomme dann die Meldung, dass die Zusammenführung fehlgeschlagen ist, wegen Erweiterungsdateifehlers. Kannst du helfen?
Die neuen Packs beinhalten den Inhalt der älteren bereits. Jedes neue Pack hat also immer alle vorherigen bereits dabei.

You can create your own and merge from the Medeli packs with the Grand Suite Software.

Try using the medeli expansion only, not expansion & sound. Tried and worked that way.

Du kannst Dir mit dem Untertitel Symbol die Untertitel einschalten und mit dem Zahnrad die Sprache wählen. Manches habe ich direkt in deutsch untertitelt, für anderes nutze die Automatische Übersetzung.
Yamaha still rules . . this akx-10 has more of casio feel . .
