A few explanations: Whenever I pause the game, I am switching my fps from 45 to 60 or back. Since I play on a controller and my hotkey to switch the fps is on my keyboard. The reason why I lower it, is because lower fps gives you higher/better launches, that are not possible on 60.
So that's why the community during the competition decided that 60 fps should be the cap, and 45 the lowest you can go, since going lower than that would break the game and it wouldn't be enjoyable to watch.
Some launches may look spliced, it's just the top grabs doing it, using lesser fps gives you better top grabs, and since it was not intended by the devs, it might look buggy.
This category is also glitchless, meaning that out of bounds strats, or ragdolling on a bouncepad that sends you almost instantly to the last chapter of the game are not allowed.
There is still a lot of timesave to be had, but for now I am happy with this time and will take a little break. Thanks for all the support I really appreciate it!

What happened at 7:15? Is that just camera lag? Seems intentional because it's the same sequence as 8:05. Framerate catch-up with launchers to create speed?
It's spliced
It's a top grab which launches you higher that only works if you grab the top of a launcher and it makes it look like you teleported

Whats with the frequent pausing. I know its not splicing. Does it have something to do with speed conservation or any of the glitches?

It's called a top grab from what I've gathered (i wouldn't say I'm a great source) if you grab one of the boost pads and have your character be in the way of the direction it's moving for this specific case it gives you an increased velocity and also teleports you upwards you can do it with the orange ones that move you to the side too but I'm not sure how useful that could be to the speedrun instead of grabbing on top with those you grab in the direction the pad takes you and it does a similar thing I think it might be tied to having a lower fps but I'm not too sure
