Joey hearing your gear noise gives me hope. I have bought several of the small Farmall’s of late and a couple do sound similar to your 140. I will never be able to get the usage out of mine that you do ( lack of acreage and past 75) and figure if you use it then I’ll do the same. I do have to replace a clutch/pressure plate on a Super A and it has a serous left brake issue. Not looking forward to splitting that tractor. Stan here.
Watching your videos, I kept thinking how your farming terrain reminded me of the good turkey hunting I first enjoyed with William Thompson from around here. We had permission to hunt on farms of a Caswell County farmer and over on the Game Lands. We hunted there before turkeys spread to my farm here in Columbus County. That was in the 1980’s. The farmer was a Blaylock man. (Not sure if the spelling. I now have turkeys on my farm.
@@Jtwes yup! That’s them. Ben and I can’t remember his wife’s name or family. My hunting buddy always communicated with them. Have all the turkeys we can hunt around here now
I like the white also, all white so it’s easy to respray as needed. That’s a nice hat, I always wear a hat now when working outside. When I was a little boy I said granddaddy you aught to wear some shorts and short-sleeves. He just laughed, he always wore long sleeves. The beans look nice, looks like the deer are staying out. You seeing any hoof prints in the beans?
Thanks for the video, it really helped me set my tractor up today to lay my corn by. Can you make a video on how to remove the drive sprockets and chains on the fertilizer attachment to install the draft bar ???
Hey Andrew I don’t ever take those sprockets off the fertilizer unit to put the draft bar on. I either remove the whole fertilizer drive unit or use a center bar that’s bent made to work with the fertilizer unit still on the tractor.
Paint them the old IH off white, they'll look sharp plus adds protection to the steel. Whenever anyone uses one of my tractors l always tell them as a disclaimer that the chances are they'll pick up some grease on their clothing so no complaining they get a stain or two. Myself personally l wear my dark navy work clothes so never have to worry, l'm more concerned keeping my equipment in shape than l am getting dirty. It's simple really, there is no regular clothing on earth that will last longer than a properly greased old tractor.
Cody the fellow that works with us at our company just bought a 130 farmall with cultivators, fast hitch, and other . The sheet metal almost no dents from what I see in pictures. I’m happy for him . Thanks Joey n sons for the video.
If you know someone that’s got a bead blasting cabinet you could dismantle them and remove all the rust pretty quick. Then prime and paint them. They would look like brand new.
I'm glad you did a video on removal of the one point hitch. Now I can do the one on my 140 Thanks again for all the information you do on here. I pray that you get some rain it's still dry here in Reidsville
That's a fine looking bean patch you have there Joe! I'm glad you did a video on taking the fast hitch off a Farmall. The first time I did it as a young boy, I have everything back there tore apart. My Great Uncle Claude showed me how to take it off and I've been doing it ever since. You are exactly right about getting greasy taking the hitch off.
Green beans looking good. Nice job on the cultivation. I use that same sweep on the back that you used. Quite happy with the job they do. Think I owe you and your wife a belated Happy Anniversary. Blessings to everyone at your home.
I never done the electrolysis myself just wire wheel but all those many surfaces and things. Just let the electricity remove the rust and you come back a day or two later
Hey Joe, do you have any plans to replace the rear wheel bearings and possibly going through the transmission in the next year or so? Just curious, I know it's a pretty good job. Definitely a cool weather project....
After driving Rogers 130 you can really tell the difference. To be honest it all depends on funds. I have the ability and know how between me and Roger but funds will determine how quick I do it. I wanted to do the hydraulic first but yes it’s most definitely on my radar to do.
Good advice, garden looks great buddy. Way to go
Nice looking stand of green beans. Cultivators doing a great job. My opinion on the other set is to paint them IH white. Thanks for sharing the video.
That’s the plan. Make a good fall/winter project.
Great video
Thank You Scott.
Paint the framework only cause the paint will wear off quickly!!! Crops are lookin' good 👍!!!
Hey Gene
I agree . IH white is going to be the color.

I hope to rebuild it one day but for now we’ll keep it serviced and hope she keeps ticking lol.

There’s some Blalock’s pretty close to me that are tobacco farmers.

Hey Joe great job , I would like to see how you hook up the whole cultivator apparatus to the tractor...love your videos thank you for sharing
Hey Jeff
I may have some already but if not I’m sure I’ll show stuff like that again. Thanks for watching.
Joey, I believe IH White is correct for your year tractor. Great video Bro Joey!
It should make a good color. Look forward to some more videos from you.
Joey you have those rolling cultivators dialed in!!!! Awesome

Hey Ron
No hoof prints just the one we’re they attempted to eat a couple plants on the back side.
Thanks for showing taking off the fast hitch!!! Naming it that as well will help people search for it!!!
Lol I had someone in mind. Lol

Where can I get a bent bar?? Or the dimensions of where it’s bent so I can make one
Hey Andrew
I would say best place would be www.burchstoretractors.com

I have found out the shout grease buster in a can is a miracle worker in the wash.

Hey Scott
I hope he enjoys it. If we can be any help let him know.
Watched and liked. Nice looking garden! Have a blessed day
Hey Gary
Thank You .
Yes paint them. I love nice looking part's.
I was thinking IH white on the frames and the rock guards.
@@Jtwes yep I would do it.

There pitted pretty bad on one but they will still make a fine set.
Really enjoy the details you put into every video, and job you do!! Thank you for that sir!!
Thank You sir.
How much spacing are you leaving between the rows ?
Never really measured. I can tell you that the rows are set up on 44 inches from furrow to furrow or center of tire to tire.
@@Jtwes ok thanks.

Hey Paul
It’s getting pretty dry for sure . I wouldn’t mind seeing a little rain. Thanks for watching.
solid white would look good
I was just telling Danny I think im going with the IH white the kinda cream color one from the 70s
Good stuff. You sound like me trying to talk and work and I get out of breath! I vote don't paint it. Keep the material coming!
I thought about that. With the pitting I believe we’ll make it a fall / winter project and do IH cream white. Thanks for watching.

So far so good on the dear alarm. I hope it holds out.

Hey Jack
Thank you. We’re 23 years this year.
Do you fool with a “greasy bean”. They are greasy too. (When they cook up) Thanks
I’ve heard Danny talk about them @deepsouth but I haven’t planted any.
Joey, the garden is looking really good. I love green beans and they look like they are coming along nicely. Blessings 🥰
Hey Torri
Thank you. I’m excited to finally after 3 seasons to can some again.
👍
As. Crazy as those rolling cultivators are I'd make up an electrolysis tank to remove that rust.
I had it on my mind to wire Brush or sand blast them. You can tell one of them got fertilizer on it a lot.
I never done the electrolysis myself just wire wheel but all those many surfaces and things. Just let the electricity remove the rust and you come back a day or two later
🚜🚜👍
Scary time in life 😞. Beautiful garden Joey
