A true swordsman and master. i was fortunate to study under trankada aldabon for many years. Picked up a lot of this system through my GM. Very effective and very practical. Thanks for sharing.

There was a reason that Tatang Ilustrisimo's fame spread far and wide. He is truly a diamond in a world mostly made of glass. I wish that I could have seen such skill in person. He was truly a rare talent. My best regards to his very fortunate students wherever they may now be....Master Ron Saturno/Cabales Serrada Escrima

It must have really been spooky training with some of those old masters. Note how "tantang" NEVER hits the stick. Only flesh and bone!!!
    Very impressive!

In modern arnis, all instructors hit the stick instead hit the arm or bones, to safe your partner especially in the beginners, and riches student.
But when it comes to to real situation theres a changes,
But some instructors I don't know why they didn't explain to his student. So some practitioners didnot know it.... My masters always telling me that in real fight is defferent in training there's some changes, you have to adjust. Sorry I can't tell something more cleared... Bec. I'm not very well in English... But I hope you can understand what I mean... Thank you 🙇 🙏

this is awesome....i'm a serrada escrima guy and i can totally see the foot work and how these are related arts....from my understanding felicimo dizon trained and tatang would train together and the young angel cabalas would come in as well since he was felicimo's student. great post

I find it amazing how similar this is to Cabales Serrada. It's very eerie.

@cain2335 Giron did not practice w/ Tatang. He was a part of Angel's school along w/ Max Sarmiento and Dentoy Revillar before splitting away and forming Bahala Na.

Age is the ultimate unassuming disguise. To me , this is what I think a snake attacking a mongoose would look like. Thank you for sharing!

The sound of his shoes on the floor gives you feedback of his weight displacement while using footwork. 🤔💡
