    I'll vote for a MUSEUM. Like, the main attraction of the museum would be the artifacts they found while digging for the highway. Like an old settlement waaaay before the city was even founded.

    Generally a city with streets that are all over the place is an indication that the city naturally over time evolved, while a city with a strict grid pattern indicates a city that was planned from the start. It is also visible in the cars, where the US tend to have powerful cars that doesn't handle that great in corners, Europe is putting much more effort into the handling of the car as their roads are almost never straight.

    I don't know how old this footage is, but as of now, there's a new mod called node controller renewal, which is made by the same guy who made intersection marking tool and it's basically just a more polished version of the original node controller and completely replaces it, so do subscribe to that if you haven't already.

    • @brunoglopes
      @brunoglopes 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Honestly I think the original node controller is a lot better. Although there is a steeper learning curve to the old one, I find the renewal way too limiting, especially when trying to edit road segments instead of the node. The guy who made the original mod, however, said that the creator of the renewal is working on implementing some of the missing features, so we’ll see. However, I don’t see $2.20 upgrading as, if I’m not mistaken, the last update of the renewal broke compatibility with the old NC completely, so he would have to re-do everything.

    Grids themselves might sometimes be a bit boring, but they can really bring out the best in a city. It really just depends on their scale and what's zoned within them; smaller blocks will give a city more diversity and make it a lot more interesting!

    13:51 This old building is located in Strasbourg in Alsace, in the north-east of France. It was built at the end of the 19th century when Alsace was German (between 1871 and 1918). It was the regional parliament (the "Landtag"). The rear part and the roof were bombed in 1944 during an air raid. Since 1923, it has been a theater.
    It is located on Place de la République. Next to it is built the University Library which looks a bit like it. This asset also exists on the Workshop by the same creator (called "Ligne 7")
