1983 HONDA NIGHTHAWK NOT CHARING , BATTERY KEEP DYING .

engine on older Honda’s need to be running at 2000rpm minimum before charging system will bring a full charge. Nighthawks had this issue and Honda never corrected this, so if your in a lot of slow speed riding, use a lower gear to keep the rpm up. It’s just one of those things about this bike. You’ll notice the lights will increase in brightness when you increase your rpm.

Where did you get the intake boots and air filter pods? Did you have to re-jet up once installed?

They come with the carburetors , look up Murray carbs

No , had a new born baby and sold all my bike , won’t have time for riding anymore .
