Very impressive video, I've not bought b/c of all the utter bULLsH!Te being sold. The Bike Berry stuff is never gonna get any of my money, even IF there was 1 good engine, the other components in the box will need to be replaced. I'm not a mechanic nor do I own all the tools so I've been hoping for a decent motor. What I do know; Honda/KTM and several other companies make great small motors & they are on chain saws/lawn mowers/snow blowers ect ect... and these motors are "Bullet Proof", heck, you could forget to change the oil forever & outlive all of BB's crap engines. So again I'll thank you for this video. I'm looking at the Honda 150L dual sport bike as well. She's a $3,000 bike total. But you will never have a problem unless you totally rag the bike, even then it'll out last most of these engines for bikes. I just know that there are some decent little motors that will work on a bicycle.... wish I was a mechanic. Opps, hear that? I think I heard Santa coming in-bound. Merry New Year

Have a great Christmas and a good new year.
No man, I watch you b/c you ARE telling the Truth about all the fails of the industry. Living in America, I'd EXpect that we would have a better quality choice in engines. I appreciate how you've sorted out each one & it needed to be done, over and over again just to hammer the truth of how crappy most of these engines are made & the components inside the motors. I mention that little Honda b/c that motor is rock solid & it utilizes a chain drive w/ sprockets. There is no good reason to me that we shouldn't be able to get a motor / chain drive that works well & I mean out of the box. What get's me(and You) is the same thing, you know it could be so much better. You've gone one UP on the deal in order to help them know ahead of time what your ratings are & I like that = It's why I'm your Sub, my guy ! What you're doing is so damned important but I'm waiting for you to show one good bike, one good motor, and a good setup that you think is the best. I know you're a hands on mechanical guy who has had to make them work. In doing all that you've been able to rate each of these motors/bikes. I'm hoping to see one company who uses decent parts & right outta the box it should run w/o any problems ; That's all I'm searching for & I thank you for stepping out to try & give that info !! Don't stop what you're doing & I happen to know Honda/KTM & others make very good motors, thing is none of the manufacturer's of bikes are using them b/c they make more money selling crap! It's great that you know what to do to make them work & you know what to look at on each of them - you've got experience. I wish one bike would step up & offer a Honda engine w/ a decent mounting on a bike that doesn't throw chains. It's a quality problem where bad labor & cheap parts ARE their Mission Statement to make more money. I hate it & so do you. I feel it in your video but all that shit stuff is how you got so smart but it's time to find the best OF all the parts & hopefully there's just one company willing to offer more good than shite? Hey, thanks for the time & do have a safe New Years. I'll be here for the next videos. peace
Am looking to build a bike that can do long distance trips. And preferably would like to just put normal gas into it. Would the avenger 85 work for that? Or is there another engine that would better suit my needs( perhaps the Honda gxh50 ?). Please let me now if this is within the realm of possibility and hopefully point me in the right direction. ( and I know an actual motorcycle would be the answer but for various reasons iam dead set on a bike. )
The Avenger would be decent, but I would say the Honda GXH50 would be better for all out reliability, practicality, fuel mileage, ease of maintenance, and ride comfort. The Avenger would require premixing special oil into the fuel, emit somewhat unbearable vibrations for long trips, and sure the engine is capable of 50mph, but it would require stops every 30 minutes of riding (or so) so it wouldn't overheat. If you don't know how to tune a carburetor, you don't want a 2-stroke, however, the 4-stroke kits come (more-or-less) pre-tuned. The 4-strokes wouldn't require premixed gas, rides VERY smoothly, don't require a manually actuated clutch (just twist the throttle and go), doesn't really run the risk of overheating, and as long as you change the oil every and lubricate the clutch every 30 riding hours, there really isn't any maintenance. It does have a respectable speed of around 35 to 40mph, but it does require the wider cranks due to the wider width of the engine. As long as you do oil changes, the Honda clone could probably last forever. I gave one of these bikes to a homeless man and after 3 months he had put over 4k miles on it and the engine still ran like butter. For ride comfort, practicality, and reliability, you should definitely use a single-speed beach cruiser frame (like the Huffy Cranbrook or nel lusso). The frames are farn comfortable and absorbs a lot of the road bumps, handles really well, the thick steel frame is CRAZY sturdy, and is literally the bike these engine kits are designed to fit on (so it is SUPER easy to install one of these kits onto).
@ thank you very much for the great reply. Have a few more questions if you don’t mind. Are there kits specifically for the Honda gxh50 engine? And when buying a Honda engine should I avoid buying one that ships from china or are they one of the clones you mentioned that are fine?
@BodiDelgrosse A kit something like this: www.ebay.com/itm/405408940315?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=k5tpfx5jtcm&sssrc=2047675&ssuid&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY is completely fine. The Chinese engine in the kit might not be the exact quality as the genuine Honda, but still reliable enough to last thousands of miles in it's sleep and start first or second pull everytime. Maybe if you're a diehard Honda fan you could get the genuine Honda, but the $450 price difference doesn't seem worth it. Lol. You could quite literally buy 3 of these kits for the price of the genuine Honda engine.

Actually the 49cc engines are excellent engines when built right. No they arent speed monsters, but I have one that did 26mph out og the box with a 41T sprocket on a 26" wheel. The 49cc engines used to be widely used and they can be ported, balanced and geared right to achieve 30+ mph and super reliable. I have a friend in Georgia that had bike with the Gubee 49cc engines and he's gotyen 1000s of miles out of them. Not being a peckhead here, but I been biilding and tinkering with these engines since 2009 and I know for a fact the 49cc engines can be good little engines, yeah not neatly as powerful as the 66cc engine, but theyre reallly not any junkier in my experience they just seem that way because they dont have good power out of the box typically...
19:2719:27 This video is WRONG. Sorry man and you skipped so many major engines. Ld90(48mm),"100cc"(49mm sleeved),LD100(50mm G4 cyl),minarelli(you had a Trent Bikes thumb nail!). Don't slap together a video with no current research. The 50cc has been discontinued. The avengers major flaws(ring gap in intake, wrist pin bearing/factory squish mismatching AND not set). Last bad video.
As I stated in the description, I skipped those engines because they are so similar to the engines discussed in the video. The LD90 isn't any different from the Triple 40 (besides a somehwhat noticeable bump in power), the "100cc" 49mm sleeved engine IS the Super PK80 I addressed in the video, the LD100 is the same as the YD100 with a 2-piece cylinder (for better cooling), and I SPECIFICALLY addressed in the description how I will be SAVING the minarelli and all other hybrid engines for another video since they are completely different. @@jarelsuckrajh5932 Is this the one you're talking about: a.co/d/3pMkork ? If so, that is a Super PK80 engine, which is discussed in the video. They can be very reliable and have satisfactory power due to the oversized iron sleeved cylinder, but it's common for the iron sleeve to have catastrophic defects (not saying they all come jacked up, but there is a higher chance compared to the other engines). The cooling capabilities is pretty good and so is the aftermarket, but you can't get very much power out of this engine without doing heavy porting. For the price ($130) I would recommend using a the Triple 40, Avenger 85, or the 49cc 4-stroke kit (all discussed in the video and links are provided in the description). I hope this helps and ride safe!

Great video, but I guess you forgot this chinese one from temu/Amazon with electric start. I am very curious how this one performs. I got chinese 50cc grass trimmer engine for around 20 bucks. It has pocket bike clutch mount. I made small crappy bike on 12 inch wheels, put this crap in, and turned out this engine is very reliable and has A LOT of power. Top speed was around 60km/h with 11t front and 55t rear sprocket. I heard bad things about this engine, but I burned like 15L of gas on it (>350km+) and for such crappy build using chinese 20yr old scooter frame it lasted very long time. Unfortunately frame broke (lol) so I'm building new one using same engine and some scrap steel. Next time I'll try some 50cc scooter carbs to lower the fuel consumption
while i never have owned a motorized bike i personally have built many predator 224s and even on a minibike which is what they're supposed to be on, they can be terrifying. the things from the factory even without a governor delete can easily push 40 and with a built one even my bike which will be around 500 pounds with me on it will struggle to keep the front end down. another thing to note, the things LOVE ethanol (with a proper fuel system and carb)
YD 100 is the most reliable shit i know. Offcourse all of these suck if stock. YD 100 is perfect for climbs and daily use. It also is very fuel saving.

I put hicomp head on china doll.. and hi quailty hpcarb.. standard pipe. 39mph.. cruz and accel from 20 25 super fast.. i did take apart and clean and lube from box also.. and im 205lbs
I do appreciate your doing this video.... lol, I've bought nothing b/c I know how bad most of these are & not being a mechanic or
having the tools needed, I've been just watching & waiting to lean more? Now I'll finish the video & come back!
Very impressive video, I've not bought b/c of all the utter bULLsH!Te being sold. The Bike Berry stuff is never gonna get
any of my money, even IF there was 1 good engine, the other components in the box will need to be replaced. I'm not a
mechanic nor do I own all the tools so I've been hoping for a decent motor. What I do know; Honda/KTM and several
other companies make great small motors & they are on chain saws/lawn mowers/snow blowers ect ect... and these
motors are "Bullet Proof", heck, you could forget to change the oil forever & outlive all of BB's crap engines. So again
I'll thank you for this video. I'm looking at the Honda 150L dual sport bike as well. She's a $3,000 bike total. But you
will never have a problem unless you totally rag the bike, even then it'll out last most of these engines for bikes.
I just know that there are some decent little motors that will work on a bicycle.... wish I was a mechanic.
Opps, hear that? I think I heard Santa coming in-bound. Merry New Year
@@diggy-d8w Thank you very much for watching. My goal for creating these videos is to help people out and share my knowledge. I have personally been scammed and bought the "100cc race engines" when I was younger and dumber and I wouldn't wish that feeling on anyone when I realized I paid $300 for a paper weight. 😅
Motorized bikes are great and fun and the community is AMAZING, but if you don't have the ability or desire to build a bike and deal with the little things and have the money, I definitely reccomend getting a dual sport motorcycle or to those that don't have licenses and rely of anterior modes of transportation, a moped or motor scooter.
Have a great Christmas and a good new year.
No man, I watch you b/c you ARE telling the Truth about all the fails of the industry. Living in America, I'd EXpect that we
would have a better quality choice in engines. I appreciate how you've sorted out each one & it needed to be done, over
and over again just to hammer the truth of how crappy most of these engines are made & the components inside the
motors. I mention that little Honda b/c that motor is rock solid & it utilizes a chain drive w/ sprockets. There is no good
reason to me that we shouldn't be able to get a motor / chain drive that works well & I mean out of the box. What get's
me(and You) is the same thing, you know it could be so much better. You've gone one UP on the deal in order to help
them know ahead of time what your ratings are & I like that = It's why I'm your Sub, my guy ! What you're doing is so
damned important but I'm waiting for you to show one good bike, one good motor, and a good setup that you think
is the best. I know you're a hands on mechanical guy who has had to make them work. In doing all that you've been
able to rate each of these motors/bikes. I'm hoping to see one company who uses decent parts & right outta the box
it should run w/o any problems ; That's all I'm searching for & I thank you for stepping out to try & give that info !!
Don't stop what you're doing & I happen to know Honda/KTM & others make very good motors, thing is none of
the manufacturer's of bikes are using them b/c they make more money selling crap! It's great that you know what
to do to make them work & you know what to look at on each of them - you've got experience. I wish one bike
would step up & offer a Honda engine w/ a decent mounting on a bike that doesn't throw chains. It's a quality
problem where bad labor & cheap parts ARE their Mission Statement to make more money. I hate it & so do
you. I feel it in your video but all that shit stuff is how you got so smart but it's time to find the best OF all the
parts & hopefully there's just one company willing to offer more good than shite? Hey, thanks for the time &
do have a safe New Years.
Aprilia 50 and 50cc racing spec that able reach 140 and 200km/h like in 1960 : nah this guys was a joke lol
That’s an Aprilia not a china doll
phantom 85 v3 im doing 58mph stock on 38tooth sproket
you are so wrong with the 50cc engine, i have one and it is certainly not a pedal assist. and still 1 horsepower is way more than you can ever pedal
What is a super pk 80 (pk( is power king never seen a pk that is not 40 mm stroke and low hole piston a 49mm piston is high hole how you get rotation only a 38 mm stroke can work
I really don't know. lol.
5:02 Does the yd 100 vibrate heavy? Because i am planning on buying one. Even though you say they can overheat but it is how proper the mixture is
@@jarelsuckrajh5932 Out of all the engines, I would say the YD100 is the most un-balanced, so yes, it does have heavy vibrations.
@a.m.bgarage.everydayprojec9665 ok
@a.m.bgarage.everydayprojec9665 so it can cause bolts to loose then. Maybe if I add rubbers it can reduce the vibration a little.
my avenger 85 is doing 52mph stock but watch the piston ring pin mine came out and messed up the cylinder i lost all compresion i had to do a rebuild and my phantom 85 is doing 58mph stock but i want a menace 85
Does your avenger 85 overheat?
@sandertreiel9725 no dont hold it wide open for long
Actually the 49cc engines are excellent engines when built right.
I have a Zeda 100cc. Is that good?
BT 100 series are only suitable for long ride uses
19:27 19:27 This video is WRONG.
Thanks for watching 😊
@@a.m.bgarage.everydayprojec9665 well is what it is and the ld100 and yd100 share no similarly aside. From case and piston. You clearly don't know much about these motors.
@@mikecyanide7492ok geek leave the poor guy alone learn how to build Harley’s I build motorized bikes because I’m 14 and that’s all I can afford while I’m saving for a car
The avenger 85 is now a good engine when they first came out they had a piston hitting head problem but now thare good and now they make a avenger 90cc 52mm bore and 42mm stroke
@@Ebartcustoms I’m 58 I have a license but I want to get a “legal” 2 stroke I can “legally” annoy the entire neighborhood with. I had a Puch moped when I was about your age, Magnum II model 1978 I think. Cops couldn’t say a word, it was like having a mini motorcycle. I’d love to find an old moped and put the go kart engine on it. Dude from the bike shop got his up to 55 after mods. Have fun with this, but be smart around motors, I still have all my digits luckily. Be patient on the license, after a while you get sick of the car … now I’m back to 2 wheels. Do I make my Honda a scrambler or cage racer is the question. Built an ebike from a kit, my state after 49 cc you have to register it and make it street legal, limited use motorcycle. Screw it I’ll build a fast one and register it.
Hey what do you think about the pexmor 100cc engine? Are they recommended?
@a.m.bgarage.everydayprojec9665 ok I would do porting on it then.
@a.m.bgarage.everydayprojec9665 ok I would do porting on the pexmor 100cc. Or buy the avenger 85 or triple 40 if I decide to.
@a.m.bgarage.everydayprojec9665 ok I would do porting on the pexmor 100cc
@a.m.bgarage.everydayprojec9665 Ok I will do porting on the pexmor 100cc

Do you have a link?
@a.m.bgarage.everydayprojec9665 yes
Yeah
It says it a avenger 85
@@Lyzn2 Then it would probably perform the same as the Avenger 85 mentioned in the video. If it is less than $180, it might be a good deal.

RDM PIAGGIO?
@@krishnalennon3137 read the description. I'll be making a separate video discussing hybrid engines.
No minareli hybrids😢
In the description of the video, I explain a bit about why I didn't address hybrids, but I will try to in a future video.
Menace 85 build by big brother can only handle little over 8 hp😢
That's still no slouch. Is the one on your channel the one you're talking about?
@a.m.bgarage.everydayprojec9665 all I'm saying all the funding and Dyno and being there the big boys in the motorized bicycle engine world I try not to call there name it's not important what important is the product they produce it not affordable to average motorized bicycle owner like the price for a CNC case because of little too know option you got to take it or leave it
I squeezed 37mph out of my first 50 2 stroke but that was just a fluke lol idk how I did it. (Blew up shortly after)
Air leak
You forgot to add the lifan 125cc engine, I bought a bike with that engine on from someone from face book. I took the engine off since it was too old but it worked, it was fast, maybe someday I will rebuild it.
You got scammed
@@mikecyanide7492 yup I got fooled on that one, still have a decent bike frame with Gemini wheels and pit bike breaks
❤
💯👍🏾
Wish i saw this before buying mine
@@cansecojavier1199 What did you get?
YD 100 is the most reliable shit i know. Offcourse all of these suck if stock. YD 100 is perfect for climbs and daily use. It also is very fuel saving.
