Looks like you can still tie in the radar detector as well or at least you had it on after the install. If so I'm gonna buy this dash cam right now
Yes. This is one of the biggest reasons I went this route. You can in fact use both at the same time without a dash cam getting in the way of the radar detector.

No. They sell them specific to your truck. Its just the shell and camera. I have a 22 Laramie. Its really the easiest install you can do for a "modification" on a vehicle. Its worth way more than the $180 its going for. Get it!

Thank you! The installation is a little more difficult because you have to run a wire but it shouldn’t mess anything up.

I keep looking for a video to see if there is a system that there is a way to use the the back up camera of ram 1500 2023 to record the front view as well as the back with the camera that is on the tailgate for backup
It really shouldn't be that hard to tap into the mirror camera if nothing else but I haven't seen anyone make anything like that either. Here's hoping!

I show day and night examples at the end of the video. It’s pretty good at showing plate numbers. I’d say right up there with other high end dash cams.

No, not at all. That person’s review is definitely wrong. I have my radar detector right below it and I’ve had no issues whatsoever.

You don't have to use the mirror for power, you can run it from the fuse box instead.

You're very welcome! You can definitely pull power from the fusebox if needed. They have another wire for that.
Why did you NOT get the rear camera that goes with it?
I didn't like the way it looks but I may add it on in the future once I find a way to mount it that I'm happy with.

No problems at all. Still working perfectly. The TRX is my daily driver so it gets a workout.
What is the difference between Model B and Model A? I have a 2021 Ram 1500 Limited and interested in this...
One is for a truck without all the sensors at the top. It's just about what setup you have to cover everything up.
Just installed this camera in my TRX and for some reason it won’t show preview unless I turn off cellular. Is there a way around that?
The preview was a little bit wonky. I use the included USB reader to just pull the SD card out and pull files off with my PC. For me, that’s the easiest and fastest way to do it.

As long as you have the same size plastic mirror surround then yes.
does it connect to phone and CarPlay at same time?
No. You have to disconnect from CarPlay to see the live feed. There really isn't a reason to do this, though. If you want footage off the device, pull the SD card and put it in your computer.
Does it record when the truck is off
You can order their constant power kit to have it do so.
No rear camera?
You can opt for it if you’d like.

The fitcam is actually dead center of the windshield. The FCW camera is off-center, unfortunately.

I didn't love the rear camera as much, personally.
We have to talk car pricing. Why anyone would pay over sticker in January 2023 is a question that no one seems to have a reasonable answer to. The news is that a deluge of cars will become available in Spring 2023 with the chip shortage going bye bye faster than the covid shutdown. You guys need to address this because Z06s and everything else will be on the market at sticker just as fast.
Hello Brother, I have a 2022 TRX as well and I have an IMPORTANT QUESTION for you or anyone here that can assist me.
I want to buy this cam, but found a review on Amazon saying that: “Unfortunately, it kept cutting out the digital rear view mirror”.

I use the digital rear mirror all the time so I wanted to know if that has happened with your TRX or if it has happened to anyone else as well.
I saw that same review, and I have not had any issues and neither have anybody on the forums. I posted this over on the TRX forums and a lot of people bought them, and have been using them without any issue. Odds are very good that guy hooked something up wrong.

I’m wondering this as well, just curious if there is any interference to the sensor.
My truck is a level 2 with all of the advanced safety equipment and no, there is no interference at all. You can also opt to get the hardwire kit to allow it to record while the truck is off.

Hi, quick question, I have a dash cam for my trx plugged into the cigarette lighter or whatever insert it is that is below the rear view mirror, it still record even overnight while the car is off, could this potentially causes issues in the future ? Should I instead get a hardwire kit to fuse it to the fuse box? Please lmk and thank you
