2021 gt pro performer custom build. Most all black components swapped for white and silver. Thanks for watching #gtproperformer #gtperformer #gtbikes #gtbmx #bmx
my mom couldnt afford the Pro Performer , but she still got me a Performer and i made the front page of the local newspaper on it.. i traded out the mags for regular 5 spokes with a buddy, i had these purple/pink tires, grips and white seat and pedals
The compromise of dirty white tires is worth it. Not riding it misses the fun. White tires look fine dirty. Great build and successful hobby effort. All for fun
Hey man thanx for the shout out. I was looking at your bike and notice similarities of the build then i hear my name, lol. You can buy the 13T cassette driver at flatlandfuel for those wheels. Its in the hubs parts section but its our of stock right now so send them a message. Same happend to me and i had to wait 1-2 month till they arrived. Theres video of my bike on my channel too. I did sell it to my neighbor down the street though.
I agree with the bent post. The new frame geometry doesn't require a bent post and it's impossible to attemp hang 5's with it. I have the black GT straight post. Going to strip it and paint it white. Sweet ride.
My 2018 had came with the black wheels, which had to go because they ruined the look of the bike. The extra short seat post ( slammed ) was another thing that I couldn't get with. I went with a set of Odyssey Hazard's to match the frame, plus a 300mm Odyssey post that I chopped down a little. With the black post, those chrome GT bars got swapped for an Autumn Juice Bar that complimented the look of the bike. Since i couldn't find an Odyssey Bayou Bar, the Autum's were the closest thing. I was trying to Odyssey the bike out.
Nice bike! Your upper Gyro cable is way too long, try an Odyssey G3 "medium" length cable, should fit perfectly and sit just below the crossbar. Hope you ride it often!
I did have that, the problem is that the splitter housing, where the cable goes from one to two is black on the newer odyssey cables and i wanted all white. Ive since swapped it for a snafu dual pull and its nice and tidy now
nice build, I kick myself for not picking up the 48's. The layback angle is a bit weird but I found that you can force it forward 2 notches and have it almost level with the ground if you really force it and stretch the access hole in the seat w/ your allen key. I'm thinking of shaving 2mm off the front face of the pivotal interface on the post itself to get one more notch leaned forward. I thought about the old posts, but they're 7/8" instead of 1" and I don't want to run a shim. The S&M layback is a micro dyno drainpipe in a way, dunno if you've seen it (I know you're matching brands, but the S&M post is pretty nice). GT just didn't quite think the design through and should tilt the top forward a bit in classic drain-pipe fashion.
That’s weird you mentioned you saw this build on bmx museum. I just bought a very similar build, definitely different than yours but I was wondering if the guy who bought mine got his inspiration from you😂 definitely excited to get on the saddle of this one
I am 5'10 but my torso and arms are long. So i always need a layback post.. and to lean forward my handlebars. Otherwise i feel smooshed. But the gt is a long frame
No most of the parts of the original have been changed to white versions or upgraded. The components that come original on these heritage gts arent very good honestly

Thanks 👍
I like what you have done especially the brakes
That's a really nice bike

Looks way better.

Nice 👍 Greetings from Oceanside California 🤙

@@Freestyler4130 Cool, those SNAFU cables look interesting!

You can still get 48s . Id probably just get the 36’s .. a bit lighter anyways
Wow that looks amazing! and thanks for sharing this vid
MINT🔥
White Gold.....
Looks good man. I want it
Nice
very nice !!!!!!!
beauty
Wow, that looks so badass! Do you plan to swap the spokes for mags? I want one now!

Morbid thrasher is the guy i was referring to, pretty sure he sold his off a long time ago.
I am 5'10 but my torso and arms are long.

But the gt is a long frame
Im the same size. Its not too bad. Depends on what kind of riding you do. It’s definitely not the size for cruising around for very long
😮😮😮😮😮😮
Awesome bike! where did you get the GT stickers that are on the handlebar and seat tube ?
Had them left over from an ‘87 restore. I think i got those from a seller on ebay
Thanks!@@Freestyler4130
People sell bootleg GT stickers on Ebay.
What is the top speed? 😵
cables on wrong side of bars .. cant surf with that setup
Naw, keep the cables from rubbing on the decals 😀
Too bad they dont offer cool carbon fiber or aluminum wheels that look like skyway or acorn mags
You can get skyways still
@@Freestyler4130 true.. but theyre only nylon.. it would be cool if they were carbon fiber composite, like the hutch bmx mag wheels were.
So there is nothing original on this bike

Pegs and frame standers missing 👌
Not anymore…
