Heh, small world.. I've always been a GT guy, but recently got the urge to get a modern Haro Master of some sort, and saw this video a few weeks ago while shopping around for one... Just bought a frame/fork set on the museum a few days ago and just now put 2 & 2 together that this is the same exact bike you sold me there. 😅 It was a great looking build! 😎 Looking forward to putting my own spin on it and changing up the colorways a bit though.. really wanted an '87/'88 style Master, but missed out on those, so this is the next best thing... Might go with some custom '87 style decals & use teal/blue components. Damn shame some of those Haro parts are out of stock everywhere, but I think I have some nice substitutes in mind. Anyway, can't wait to build it & do some riding! I appreciate the fair deal on it. 🤙 Cheers, - t0aD
Beautiful build. I prefer these rerelease models over the original 80’s. Something about American bottom brackets & standard head tubes on the original ones turn me off. There also way overpriced.
@@R3TR0R4V3It's CNC machined from solid aluminum. The fit and finish is flawless. The cheaper one is cast and just not as nice. Worth the extra bucks for me, I would buy it again.
Thank you for posting! I just got my ground master frame and couldn't decide on some of the parts, but your video has really helped me. Thank you! Rock on!
Beautiful bike bro! Mine is similar to yours but I’m adding more green and blue parts. They’re not all haro. A lot of parts I had laying around and I’m finally putting them to use
This things gorgeous....building up the same frame myself. Also contemplating the London mod down the road. But setting it up with standard odyssey gyro to start. Where'd u score those neon cables, that really sets it off 👍🏻Gonna be tough to scuff this gem up ridin it haha
WTF? Haro still exists? I don't even know if they are available in Australia, or where you can buy or order them. Although, there are 2 bmx stores I know of in Brisbane, Queensland, maybe I'll check with them.
Nice job! I have the 2021 GT Performer that I did in white and red. I had issues with clearance with the brakes and the GT hubs had 3/8" female bolts with 14mm spacers which made it real sloppy. Luckfully I found some Redline 14mm chain tensioners. I have red skyway 9t mags with 14mm axles as a second set of wheels and discovered that an older Premium Products hub that had a 10 tooth driver fits the Skyways perfect for a better gear ratio. I finally ditched the GT wheels entirely and went with a 14mm axle hub with a 10 tooth driver to make ratio better for the 28t sprocket. I wish they would never put the brakes THERE on these retro frames, it really does cause a lot of issues if it isn't designed right. They should at least give an option with removable posts. Peace!
I've been having issues with my chain occasionally touching my Springfield Brake of my 2018 Pro P. The chain wheel seems to be never be centered, which makes it a hell of a task to put proper tension on the chain.
@@Thanos0001 gear ratio. Rear cassette is small too. No reason to have a 44t sprocket up front with small rear freewheel/freecoasters now. Same amount of peddling as old school
Put another London mod twin cable guide on the first brake braze on the downtube aswell. You remove the barrel adjusters to thread the whole outer brake cable through the threaded holes they sat in. I did it on my 2021 GT Pro Performer Heritage and it looks waay better. Peace
Ill give it a try. The problem is on the haro the first brake braze is a welded on cable guide and the hole is not threaded so i wouldnt be able to thread in the london mod bolt .
@@Freestyler4130 I had the same problem on my KHE Militant LT frame. Take the tightening nut off the clamping bolt. Put the bolt through the non threaded braze(if its too fat then get a thinner bolt), then you screw the nut onto the bolt on the 'opposite' side of the braze to where the bolt went in thus clamping it onto the braze using the nut on the other side. Yeah, there is a bit of fiddling around and it doesn't sit quite as paralell to the tube as the rear one does, but the overall look and the tidyness of the cabling (especially nearer the headtube area) makes it superior and obviously its far more asthetically pleasing than having cable ties or velcro straps holding the cabling in place. Well it worked out good for me anyway dude ha ha. Good luck

I’m drooling. This is one of those bikes i never had a chance to get my hands on. This one’s just crazy beautiful
Beautiful bike, the Haro master frame has such a classic luck.
Best decade ever. On skateboards and bikes all day and not on electronics like kids today.
Sweet bike I have an original 1982 Haro Master with tuffs all original man
Gorgeous build, I love the choices! Thanks for the vid.
Glad you like it!
Absolutely stunning bike👌🏼

Can't believe this has no likes in the BMXmuseum. Subtle changes, but it looks really good.
Super nice bike! The Lineage stem is worth getting, it's awesome.
Is it a lot lighter or something? The difference in price is kind staggering.. :/

Very nice build!! 👍🤘
sick.
Good to see one built up and also the same way the complete would of came. I have the frame only got the back wheel and handlebar for it so far

Hi,
Where can I order the little yellow plastic cable guide between the back break and London Mod? Nice Haro...
Thank you,

Lol thats just a ziptie.. youre talking about the fluorescent yellow little plastic piece ? Zip tie
@Freestyler4130 lol yeah
I have a zip tie on mine as well. I knew exactly what it was when I saw it 😂. @@Freestyler4130

Not many shops will have any on hand. You usually have to pre order or get from online shops
This bike is killer Justin! New Subscriber here.
They should've had a removable cable holster like the GT has. That way, you could make it more uniform.
Yup
Those Haro's are pretty cool. I just can't get with the handlebar and stem on them.
I love this bro. Thenkyou

Clean build. Why are the front sprockets so small nowadays? It seems that you would have to pedal a lot to get it going fast.

Thats why you modify a london mod as a cable guide and use a smaller nut from the barrel adjuster

whats the freewheel/cogs you use on the rear and the front sprocket?

Looks good. No way I would ride 165 cranks though. way too short for me but then again I'm 6 foot
Is the geometry like on the old 80s Haros? I can't ride the new bikes....
No its more of the “new school” geometry
How much was the frame and fork

what was total cost of build
I haven’t added it all up but id say around $1500-1700 ballpark
