    Fun fact:
    Orthopedics = Orthopaedics
    Orthopaedics - traditional English spelling used more in academic settings (so you'll see that spelling in the hospitals and departments)
    Orthopedics - more Americanized spelling
    Both can be used interchangeably! Not that I had to look that up while editing this video....

And so far, I am 4/5 of interviews and I've never been more proud of the progress I've made. Still hurts that I couldn't go to uni at the same time as my friends but I realised that there are so many people in my position and it isn't a testament to my intelligence.

    "There is no pain like nerve pain"...You nailed in! I have now needed 2 lumbar fusions(L4-L5 initially, then L5-S1 fused in april of 2021). Both I dealt with some stupid amount of nerve pain that no amount of pain meds, and others could touch. Its amazing waking up from surgery and your biggest worry is mechanical pain from the fusion, and the bladder catheter. I still may hurt , and struggle every day to get up, but without the 10/10 nerve pain I can work again. I do wish spine surgeries could cure pain 100%. If I could have 1 wish from a genie is that my back pain and the millions of others could go away
