So I lowered my 68 two notches on the rear torsion and the spring plate is resting on the spring plate stopper. AND on the drivers side rear my newly installed Disc brake caliper is centimeters away from the body. I’m going to have to notch the body out where the brake caliper will hit or it will brake my emergency brake stuff off the top of the caliper.
Thanks for this video! I'll be adding Sam's spring plates to my buy list for my 1966 Beetle convertible restoration. Your videos have been helpful and inspiring. Finishing bodywork and then the chassis after we pull the body off the pan! Thanks ( @3rdstallgarage )
Yup...i have a 4" narrowed Autowerks beam under my '64...Sam is hands down an awesome guy to work with!

What spring plates exactly do you have? Thanks
Nice
Will the outside wheel bearings run dry that low?
I’ve heard people say that for years but I’ve never had an issue with it. I also install sealed bearings on cars that I know will be low.
