It's a nice setup and seems like quality parts. I personally would have rather an instructional video with people talking than watching someone assemble the system with music in the background.
It is a nice kit. Looks like it is simple to install stale but from the looks you lose the use of your heater boxes. Is there a way to keep them functional.
Hi there, thankyou for the comments, this car is actually still running its factory heaters and are fully functional. This is one of the key elements that makes our air ride kit unique.
Thankyou John, they are our 6335 custom 3-piece wheels made for this car. It is a very cool car and incredibly solid considering it has lived in Canada and Europe most of its life
Great product, design, engineering, install, execution, video, tutorial & editing Will it fit 914s, 914/6, Ghias How much 3 kits shipped to Nor Cal ? 🚗💨💨💨
Thankyou so much!, very kind of you, we can ship 3 kits (rear only) for around $120USD per box currently via UPS. Each kit is 1 box, so $360 approx, thanks again!
Yes there will, the installation is almost identical to this with just the front hangers the opposite way round and two lower cups which drop into the IRS arm.
@@LimebugVW hoping you could help with a question. I’m working on a 67 bug on a 73 pan. I’d like to run a swing axle set up. Would you know if a swing axle trans, axle tube spring plates would bolt up to the pan/chassis thank you
@@mtbsunday4649 Hi there, yes they will just bolt up if you unbolt the IRS arms, you can fit a swing axle rear axle, nearly everything is the same. IRS Chassis have only a few differences such as a scallop in the chassis gearbox horns and a slight positional difference to where the handbrake cables exit however this will not affect you going from IRS to swing axle, hope that helps!
@Limebug will this only fit with stock height trans. My trans and engine were raised 1" I'm guessing the cross over section and for cables there is not enough room?
@@GT.Bugger Ahh ok, this is one of the big pro's of our system. It does not require the heating system! as well as being compatible with 6volt starters (like this car also) and both swing axle and IRS models
I know that the video is 11 months old for me according to YT, while I'm watching it now...BUT!!! I'm seeing a HUGE DISADVANTAGE!....! @6:20 and @13:35 "very clearly" visible..... How do you get hot air into the interior from the heater? Or has the "customer" installed an extra AC system with a compressor that is powered by the engine with a heat exchanger under the front hood?! Isn't this Air Ride kit a bit too "massive"? Where are the pipes from the heater bulbs supposed to run if there's a BIG additional frame for the airbags in the way? I wouldn't care about that in a buggy, but not in a "GHIA Coupe" or a normal Beetle "tuned for comfort"
Hi Axel, if you check out our product listings you will see the system does work with factory heaters/ heaterboxs. No need to install an aftermarket heating system (unless you want to of course.) Hope that clears things up
@@axelk4921 No problem, it was a lot of work in trying to package everything with no compromises, our old system pre 2018 required the sacrafice of heaters but since 2019 everything has been red hot! lol
Got my kit two weeks ago. Can't wait to put it in. Great quality and worth every penny

Great stuff. Will you be releasing a IRS install video? Thanks

Yes it is running heaters, this car is still running its full original heat exchanger and heater system.
@LimebugVW that's cool. At one point in the video, it looked like the heat exchangers to cabin tubes wouldn't be possible to fit.
