It was an amusing segment (especially with Ric Flair's hilarious interruption), but the knowledge that Lita didn't want to do it but was essentially bullied and threatened into doing it makes it less enjoyable now.
As soon as I saw Kane vs Fake Kane at #7 I knew there was going to be some staggeringly bad matches in this year, I figured it would have been in the top 3.
I subscribed to the Network a few weeks ago and the first that I wanted to do was rewatch the year 2006, my first year as a WWE fan and... nostalgia had my blind, 2006 really sucked 😅 Not the worst year at all, but it hasn't aged well. PD: I disagree, Team DX vs Team Rated RKO was funny 😅
I was at WM22 and I was like 13-14 years old. I had a blast but damn did the playboy pillow fight and booker T vs Boogieman make a good bathroom break!
This was WAY before the Womens Revolution Also ECW December to dismember could have been worst if it wasn’t for the Hardy’s vs MNM which was a great opening match
2006 had great tag wrestling with Criminally Underrated tag team of Paul London and Brian Kendrick with a badass smackdown tag team championship reign.
2006 was the year I stopped watching wrestling after having consumed it non-stop for 20 years. I came back to it in 2018 and it had gotten better in some respects but also worse at the same time?
2005 will be up next. Any bets on which New Year’s Revolution match will be on there? Maven vs. Shelton Benjamin? Kane vs. Snitsky? Muhammad Hassan vs. Jerry Lawler? Plenty of crap matches on that show! (I just had to watch that show in buildup to Mania 21 recently and I am amazed with how crap it was. The Elimination Chamber main event was good though.)
The Women’s Matches absolutely should have been 1, 2, and 3. No amount of bad booking is worse than the blatant objectifying of the women involved in those matches.
Shout out to Viscera's entrance theme during his "World's Largest Love Machine" gimmick. It's a vibe & Lillian Garcia being dumped by Viscera, despite my enjoyment of the courtship by Viscera to Lillian Garcia, it was sadly hilarious that Viscera left Lillian at Vengeance 2005 for The Godfather's Ho Train. "Pimpin' Ain't Easy!"🤷🏾♂️
Honestly the entire ruthless aggression era 02-08 was arguably better than the attitude era. RA had just as good as storylines as the AE and definitely had better in ring work.
I was so freaking hyped when the original Imposter Kane came out, that kid me believed he was actually the original, finally coming back to get rid of this bald wannabe and reclaim the main event status as the monster he was.
The only thing i remembered about the December to Dismember event was Ariel's ass being on hard cam every 30 seconds during the mixed tag. Why did you have to ruin it by mentioning the Extreme Elimination Chamber?
2006 is the most forgettable year in WWE. So many forgettable matches and bad storylines. It’s not that bad and 2007, 2020, 2004, 2009, 2018, 1993 and 1995 were definitely worser years but still a pretty lackluster year. TNA was way better this time.
After this list, I really want to see the bra and panty match make a comeback - say... Otis vs Elias? Of course, I guess you couldn't have it in Tennessee these days.
Ok, yes, it was an absolute burial of Mike Knox. But his elimination was absolutely hilarious.
not really. the brokeback kid michaels is an irritating overrated little shithead and easily the least funny person on the roster at any time
Don’t think the dude had a chance regardless of that happening tbh
@@rogregg29445for real by this point we knew Knox was an okay big guy without a lot of personality. He wasn’t going to be a big star regardless.
That Edge and Lita segment will never be forgotten 😂
An all time classic... for all the wrong reasons
It will live on in infamy….. Then. Now. Forever.
It was an amusing segment (especially with Ric Flair's hilarious interruption), but the knowledge that Lita didn't want to do it but was essentially bullied and threatened into doing it makes it less enjoyable now.
Big Show having his 'NOOOOOO!' moment after losing the Punjabi Prison match should have been the thumbnail for this video. LOL.
Kane vs imposter Kane was a classic
I mean the Extreme Elimination Chamber wasn't a barn burner by any means; but I don't even think that was the worst one on that PPV.
I still cannot believe how bad fake Kane looked. A near billion dollar company at the time couldn't put together a convincing Kane costume.
It hasn't but guess what it gave the best ppv of the year which was ECW one night stand 2006
The best thing going in 06 was Gregory Helms cruiserweight title run & even that has flaws.
At least it wasn’t 1995
I loved Team DX vs Team Rated RKO that was awesome.
Aw yes, the year I started watching wrestling, thank you grandma (Rest in Peace)
I was at WM22 and I was like 13-14 years old. I had a blast but damn did the playboy pillow fight and booker T vs Boogieman make a good bathroom break!
Is it out of line to say this probably wasn't the first time the Fabulous Moola stripped off another female's clothing without her consent?
This was WAY before the Womens Revolution
Also ECW December to dismember could have been worst if it wasn’t for the Hardy’s vs MNM which was a great opening match
How did Batista vs Big Show at the Hammerstein Ballroom not make this list?
Word that was horrible
@@Naruto0s44 cool
December to Dismember was one of the worst shows WWE ever put on.
Those women’s “matches” have NOT aged well.
2006 had great tag wrestling with Criminally Underrated tag team of Paul London and Brian Kendrick with a badass smackdown tag team championship reign.
RIP TV14
Have to say I completely Disagree with number 10 that dx vs rated rko survivor series match was great
Great Khali vs Undertaker at Judgement Day should be on here!
The sad thing is I remember most of these matches.
I love these "10 worst WWE matches of (enter year here)" videos.
How is Taker vs Khali where Khali pinned Taker with one foot not on this list?
One of my favourite series… can’t wait for the mid 90s
2006 was the year I stopped watching wrestling after having consumed it non-stop for 20 years. I came back to it in 2018 and it had gotten better in some respects but also worse at the same time?
10 matches and no great khali??
High and mighty Pacitti acting like he didn’t love all those “misogynistic” diva matches back in the day is hilarious.
Honorable mention to MVP vs. Marty Garner!! 😂
Only 3 matches was great
The Women’s Matches absolutely should have been 1, 2, and 3. No amount of bad booking is worse than the blatant objectifying of the women involved in those matches.
So then was Mae Young not technically apart of that match as a competitor?
Will you guys do a best matches of each year?
2006 is easily one of the top 5 worst years in WWE history.
The world's largest love machine wasn't a bad gimmick for midcard
Shout out to Viscera's entrance theme during his "World's Largest Love Machine" gimmick. It's a vibe & Lillian Garcia being dumped by Viscera, despite my enjoyment of the courtship by Viscera to Lillian Garcia, it was sadly hilarious that Viscera left Lillian at Vengeance 2005 for The Godfather's Ho Train. "Pimpin' Ain't Easy!"🤷🏾♂️
2006 was underrated & probably the last golden days of WWE
That was the year I started lol
Honestly the entire ruthless aggression era 02-08 was arguably better than the attitude era. RA had just as good as storylines as the AE and definitely had better in ring work.
2009 want to talk
@@steezeaustin316in ring work sure, storylines no. The end of the RA era was awful. It’s actually what got me to stop watching full time.
@@steezeaustin316 I agree
2005: I can think of only one match on the list and it's probably going to be #1
Teddy vs bischoff(sorry if I said it wrong)
i'll tell you one thing they can never say luke gallows didn't go along to get along he's had some shite thrown at him poor lad🤣
Torrie wilson (and chloe) vs candice Michelle was match of the night actually. Torrie v Michelle > Cena v HHH
My top 2 favorite matches of 2006
Kane Vs Imposter Kane
Rey Vs Chavo I Quit Match
I was so freaking hyped when the original Imposter Kane came out, that kid me believed he was actually the original, finally coming back to get rid of this bald wannabe and reclaim the main event status as the monster he was.
Hey hey hey, us male gays didn't ask for a Playboy Pillow Fight, don't blame us!
(/s, love ya work guys)
John Cena vs. Mr. McMahon on the Wrestlemania Go-Home Raw was A Right Stinker & Should have Been on this List!🤮😡
Crazy mickie/lita/Trish stuff was happening the same time the bra and panties shit going on
I feel like Fake Kane could have worked if they didn't cheap out on the wig or got a wrestler who actually had long hair
Kane & Imposter Kane storyline was awful in brgin with
Vince didn’t learn from Undertaker vs. Underfaker.
Another good (bad) list!
The only thing i remembered about the December to Dismember event was Ariel's ass being on hard cam every 30 seconds during the mixed tag. Why did you have to ruin it by mentioning the Extreme Elimination Chamber?
Thanks 🙏
The year when Mental Health and Brain of Chris Benoit messed up.
that was 2007
“Boogie man hit a boogie bomb on Booker”
Booker: 🪩 🕺
2006 is the most forgettable year in WWE. So many forgettable matches and bad storylines. It’s not that bad and 2007, 2020, 2004, 2009, 2018, 1993 and 1995 were definitely worser years but still a pretty lackluster year. TNA was way better this time.
Yeah the women's stuff hasn't aged well but are we really going to pretend we didn't all enjoy it at the time 😂
We all enjoyed it. Adam acting like a male feminist saying, "it's misogynistic" is him pretty much saying: "Please give me a crumb of pussy."
I was so into Kane vs Kane.
Interesting.
2 matches i loved so far
John Cena VS K fed was horrible.
17 years ago?! Stop it time! Stop it.
Why do people call Kevin Vampire Dude Kevin Thorn?
Kane was fake diesel then loses to......."Kane"?
I'm Glad I wasn't alive to see this
you definitely forgot a john cena match
Which one? He didn't have any bad matches that year.
HBK vs Vader ended RR 1997 i think
Dx vs the McMahons and big show
At Unforgiven? That match was great.
So a man shoving another man's face into a butt is ok???? No it was bad
la knight Vs stone cold in wrestlemania 39 today yes are no
2002 was the last good year of wwe
ECW December to Dismember is all time worst WWE ppv of all time
I’d agree yeah. King of the ring 1995 a close second, but it’s kinda funny in an ironic way
I’m 22 and I remember all these matches live, the memories are great but I’ll admit not the greatest bunch of matches 😂😂😂
After this list, I really want to see the bra and panty match make a comeback - say... Otis vs Elias? Of course, I guess you couldn't have it in Tennessee these days.
Wrestlemania 22 was the best
That panties gauntlet match was my childhood dream. It did not belong on this list.
I liked the boogeyman
If they named a women’s only PPV after a stipulation and it was called “WWE Bra and Panties” it would do 10x the buys of Evolution.
I Was Born in 2006, How dare U attacking WWE in 2006, THAT WAS JUST A JOKE, DON'T GET OFFENDED!
Bring back bra and panty matches now
First
Nothing worse than feminist wrestling fans making videos. Gafs.
