That was the first show I watched after like 20 years away from wrestling. This was bad enough, but thank god I just barely escaped Hell in A Cell, or I may not be here right now.
Yea he had lost his mind in 2007 with the ecw rebrand, Donald trump vs Rosie o donnell, etc. that’s when it got bad and super Cena started and the god awful Divas matches.
I absolutely love the logic (or lack there of) with the Hell in a Cell match You can hit someone with a giant hammer and that’s okay, but if you wanna use a small hammer? THAT’S TOO FAR!!
To your point, I've never winced or gasped at a brain buster like I did when I saw this catastrophe. Also, by that metric, the tombstone in this match is one of the best too.
As dumb as Brock winning MiTB last second was, at least it gave us that hilarious moment when Brock found out he had a year to cash in during a promo and flipped out on Heyman.
Believe it or not the Goldberg vs Undertaker match was way worse than people realize. In an interview with with Goldberg on the Pat McAfee show, he admitted that during his entrance when he head butt the door on his way out, it gave him a concussion. He then admitted that he had absolutely no idea what was going on or how he ended up in a wrestling ring (yet he somehow made it to the ring?) On top of that during the match after Goldberg rammed himself into the ring post, it gave him another concussion. Honestly they should’ve stopped the match after that. Thank goodness both of them managed to retain no injuries.
What makes Angle vs. Corbin even worse is how Corbin got buried not long after this. I mean he should have at least won the IC title twice and the US title again. But he's barely done anything since.
thats not even the worst. i saw a Video where Angle talked about the whole thing. he said he wanted Cena as his last Opponent, which would be fitting since Cena started his Career against Angle. but Cena was already gone to holllywood so they had to find another Opponent and they chose Corbin without a Reason. but then Cena came back to WWE and it was still enough time until the Match. so he was actually able to be Angles last opponent and not Corbin. so he asked Vince to change it so that Cena would be his last opponent and not Corbin. but good ol Vinnie ofc refused and said no, it has to be Corbin even if it makes no sense at all. poor Angle. @@kendall6515
If he had the value of hindsight, and knew how much a geek he’d become in the years to come, Ali should have just shoot grabbed the briefcase while Brock was coming to the ring. He’d have been buried the next week by them having Brock kill him and take the briefcase in a match…and his career would have still turned out the same. Except he’d have had a MITB win on his record 😂🤣
Undertaker vs Goldberg is one of worst matches of all time in 21st Century atleast . Not to mention Goldberg almost ended Undertaker's life that Taker frustuated on him
how did Kabuki Warriors vs Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch at TLC in a TLC Match for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship not make the list, KAIRI (then Kairi Sane) got concussed in the match and Charlotte was shooting on her for a bit while everyone else in the match knew Kairi was concussed and Charlotte went ahead and put her through a table while Kairi was too concussed to continue. that match belongs on this list.
I remember for a couple years I wanted Lesnar to win MITB because, had they done it right, it could have worked. As mentioned, that was the time where we were pretty fatigued with Lesnar and, since he disappeared on and off, they should have had him take MITB with him (which is something else I get fatigued from). If he’d been gone for a few months - where we forgot about him - then once his music hit we’d know someone was in trouble. Then again…MITB gave us Brock party and I am extremely thankful for that
the worst thing about the end of Angles Career is that he actually wanted Cena as his last opponent because of their history. but Cena was here unfortunely already in Hollywood. thats why WWE instead pushed Corbin as Angles last opponent even though there were surely better Opponents who would be much better options as Angles last opponent. maybe Chad Gable for example. but even worse is that Cena came back not much later so there was actually enough time to book Cena as Angles Opponent instead of Corbin and Angle even pushed for this Change but for some reasons Vnce refused to lisen to Angle and so we got the last Match for Angle that nobody wanted. not Angle, not the fans and maybe not even Corbin.
Unpopular opinion; Taker-Goldberg was Taker's fault. Taker's been around long enough to know when his opponent is out of it, but because Taker was still chasing that one great match to go on out he kept the match going. Taker literally drops Goldberg on his head with the tombstone. Taker knew better, but kept going anyway.
If Lacey Evans got into a real fight with Charlotte Flair, Charlotte would straight up die. Lacey was an MP in The Marine Corps and would end Flair. Probably pretty easily.
My entire right side was either in pain or completely numb while I was stuck on an IV drip in a hospital awaiting the eventual news that I had and will have multiple sclerosis for the rest of my life and Goldberg vs The Undertaker is still the worst thing about that weekend for me
Brock winning the mitb the way he did might have sucked at the time but no one has carried that briefcase better and more entertaining while doing so than him. 😂😂😂
The fiend vs Balor should be on here too. They did irreparable damage to Balor having him job out to the Fiend the way he did. Balor shouldn’t have lose this match, or at least have the Demon comeback and get the win back agains Wyatt.
Lacey Evans was an MP in the U.S. Marine Corps, so I'm sure she could handle herself in a real fight, and I've never seen a double cross-body block in an MMA match. She was green and Charlotte just left her hanging out to dry.
As much as I didn't like WWE matches in 2019 as much as other years, I'd love to go back to 2019 in general if time rewinded as it was a fun year for me
I think Taker's legacy will outlive its ending because the streak was untarnishable to anyone who experienced it but Goldberg leaves behind a slurry pit of bad WWE matches from two shit runs and I don't see anyone remembering anything more than the match with Taker in SA
The Goldberg vs Undertaker match i don't know what 2 say about that in my opinion it would have worked out fine during the Ruthless Aggression Era HAD GOLDBERG STAYED and had he signed a new contract i mean i mean we could have gotten Goldberg vs undertaker at WrestleMania 21 or Summerslam 2005 or SummerSlam 2007
Here's how you could have saved Seth Vs The Fiend HIAC. Have it go down the way it did... But... Have Triple H come out as they are rolling Bray out on a Stretcher. Have Seth try to knock over the stretcher only get a mandible claw from Bray who is still on the stretcher. Triple H tries to pull him away. The crowd is booing and Seth is demanding to restart the match. Triple H says no. Then bam! Bray who got loose comes at Seth. They fight in the entrance ramp. Triple H gets between them the crowd is going nuts. The Fiend points up to cage causing the crowd to roar even louder. Hunter says fine and restarts the match! As the cell is coming back down the two fight ringside. Then Seth brings The Fiend down to one knee with the stretcher. Then hits him with a curb stomp, not once but twice. Seth sees the cell coming down closer and drags The Fiend under as it comes down pinning The Fiend under. The Fiend is unable to escape as the Cell is pinned across his chest. Seth stands on The Fiend calling for a three count. The refs are too scared to do it as The Fiend is coughing up tons of fake blo od. Hunter makes the count and calls for the bell. They raise the cell and everyone bolts except Hunter and Seth who watch in disbelief as The Fiend rises as if Jason Voorhees himself came back to life. Seth tries attack The Fiend once more but gets hit with a sister Abigail and crawls over him dripping the fake blo od over Seth. It goes off the air. Both guys look strong by their own means while still having a definite winner.
Disagreed on MITB 2019 and Seth vs Bray in HIAC 2019 Those matches were pretty enjoyable and I KNOW that the finishes were terrible, but they don't ruin my overall enjoyment of those matches 2019 for the most part was a fantastic year for wrestling But as with every year, it had its fair amount of stinkers
I’ve said this before under a different account, and I’ll continue to scream this from the top of the mountain, 2019 as a whole is the worst year in WWE history. The only thing that you could ever watch that was made by them was NXT (that year actually being the best year in their history as a brand ironically). As much as people try to dump on the other promotions, I think everyone can agree, AEW is the saving grace of the year and unironically kind of saved WWE fans.

Seth vs. the fiend 2019 hell in a cell match was to me the single worst match of 2019 and the worst match of the 21st century, it was to me truly miserable.
I may be incorrect but isn't Lacey Evans a marine? I agree that it was still a dumb idea but I assume they trained her somewhat in hand to hand combat for defense if nothing else.

You could never have made Kofi beating Brock seem believable, I’m sorry. I don’t care if he’s a fan favorite, but Brock had been built up to be absolutely unstoppable. To me, there were two options. Same as DX vs Brothers of Destruction, if Goldberg vs Taker happened like a decade or two ago, this would be surely be a tolerable and a good one.
Goldberg's always been bad in the ring though even 20 years ago the man could not run a match for more than 5 minutes without getting gassed.
