But his instincts take over in the night. Because Kyle is a volatile, these types are easily mutatable. And the reason I think hes the night hunter is because of his natural talent of parkour. In the first game, he said he hadnt experienced parkour but he was good at it (speaking canonically). So it could be possible that the virus took that trait of his and morphed him into what he was before.

i love the ending where Crane turns into the creature you fight at the end and I hope in Dying Light 2 you play as a new character and you find mutated Crane and have to kill him before he kills anyone that's hunting him for the samples the queen stole.
Crane mutated into the night hunter fyi. And to fight something thats even smarter than you at surviving and better at killing is just impossible. Crane uses his knowledge of his life to fight like he did before he turned. Thats why he uses grapples to move to buildings and ambushes people. The new GRE operative needs to be DOOM Guy or some shit in order to even injure Kyle.
My theory is that, he went over the walls, in "be the zombie" if you look over the walls there are still active lights and cars moving around signaling that there are people alive over the walls living their normal lives. So maybe this is what she meant by "you'll kill them all" And so thats what kyle did, restarting the whole outbreak over again. Thus leaving us with dying light 2
It's sad because there is no one left at the tower to care about that place. Lena is at most the least important side character that only memorable moment is the smoking and medicine stuff. Wish that Jade is still alive and unconscious, needs constant antizin or some shjt, forcing Crane to go get help. That will create a much more urgency to the storyline
Maybe you will see him again!... DL2 plays 15 years AFTER DL1... there is no prove that Kyle died here (except the story take the "NUKE" version of the ending as a CANON part!) ... Maybe you can fight him as a secret boss or sidequest-boss etc. ... its POSSIBLE!
Crane isn't dead, the scene where he turns to the night hunter is actually the beginning of the infection in Harran, that's why you still see a bus driving and family playing
