Adam, for coilover settings make sure you set the lower collar to max travel available. For example, you should hit the bump stop before the wheel contacts anything in the guards. Then you can set ride height from the spring perch. Yes you loose preload but it’s not as important for your car. You can also use a helper spring and try and get some droop travel back if the ride height is a lot lower.

The stroke a lot of times is determined by the wheel arches and other factors what’s the point in having stroke if you can’t use it? Any true manufacture of real dampers don’t use ride height adjustment separate, Moton, Ohlins, Nitron, Dynamic, Quantum, Extreme Tech, Reiger, KW, BOS, Intrax and the list can continue. The reason BC, Fortune, Anex… is simple with three cartridges you made 100 applications and is cheaper and more profitable.

Its pretty cool seeing that adam is definitely out of his comfort zone with grip driving. He doesn't have the same confidence/commitment to lines as he does with drifting. I love that it shows that even top level drivers are still learning thing even at that level

I love how in corners you can hear the different chassis adjustments that were made. From the tire grips in lost bumps to the blow offs going off as a orchard in the bloom or it’s virginity. Truly enjoyed it all. BIG BIG THANKS TO ADAM !!! The driver detail to a driver’s point of view and even share set up content is so real and actually accurate comes to much appreciations giving a great knowledge! Mad respect ✊🏽
12:35 You're actually underdriving the car imo, but I understand why you would say that. in that AWD on a track with turns of such you want that car to tip into the corner (rear end stiffer) style setup & you'd spend less time down shifting & driving through engine braking to setup line & instead be on gas turning in (wearing tires as fast as possible at any point) but very consistent at initial limit. Id kept the car stern until I understeer to slow myself down but take a perfect-ish line (driver dep) but slower & consistent & then raise the rear height & point the nose in earlier I think you had another second at least up until this point. Idk if you're running sprint or track laps but all that camber wouldn't work in a optimal lapped battle sprint wise run it for times. Fastest Lap sTYLE +0.32 Toe out max for turn in after optimal brake point etc --2.8 to -3.2 front camber -2.9 to -3.7 Rear Camber Make the rear end higher so the car rotates to exit the sweepers faster bc awd suffer at corner exit so you have to setup for it. This track looks like its all corner exit

The suspension setup is really bad both in alignment and damper settings, the way the bounce of the kerbs said everything but with bc junk what else you expect

I had a Shep trans in my Evo8. I think they have a 90-day warranty of some kind, just contact them. I had similar grinding suddenly appear in 3rd shortly after getting mine installed. Nice to see the Evo ripping around tho, love that car.
I did not have a good experience with using Shep for a clutch and rebuild. Still isn’t right but sad that I have to fix it myself since they just tell me that’s how it should feel lol.
First,.. absolutely love all the content, and all the driving. Coincidence that I saw Adam scare his mom in the solstice, then I just got stuck, and now watching everything 🙃 Discovered Collete as well, and always thought that she was 10% more badass, because she drives REAL (with grip) racecars to 😉🤘🏻 But now, it is an absolute joy to see Adam drive the evo as a proper racecar 🤘🏻😎 more of that 👌🏻
That looked like a blast! Its incredible how fast the Evo platform is with very little mods. FWIW, you always want the car to be pulling fuel trim. 5-10%

Hey Adam! You may never read this but wanted to give some of my thoughts on what you were saying were your troubles with the car and also tips to go a little faster. Firstly looking at your pedal cam on your best lap you're not using much trail braking incorporating this can shave at least a second off your time. The car does seem unstable under braking by the looks it seems the brake bias is too far reward and the alignment is incorrect (as you said in the video) A more toe-in setup as well as a more rearward bias could help that and allow you to trail brake effectively. In my experience most the time on the race track is found in the braking.
Love being able to see his speedo pinned like that and still doesn’t lead the pack. Really makes you appreciate the no name guys that show up with their garage builds and turn a podium. Time attack drivers at this level are insane. 😅
So interesting seeing the foot work, i wish you could incorporate a little more of that om your videos more or less when you are drifting. Thanks for all you do for us.

I've only set up cars in sims, but I think if the spring was soft enough to need preload, it would be too soft for track use.
