Although when I first saw the rocket symbol on the bombers I though it was a wrench. Their inclusion makes spotting bombers easier when not familiar with certain squadrons.
As a new republic main, I agree with pretty much everything stated in this video. Though it is also worth pointing out that their later Era ships and especially the NCMP ships have better accuracy than normal; the NCMP ships in particular are about as accurate as one caliber lower.
I've been enjoying the NR overall(gave the mod another chance - at first it was too overwhelming, but I've warmed up to it a bit more), albeit the one quip I have with them is that moncal ship turbolasers feel too inaccurate vs how they're supposed to be lore-wise(at least for legends lore). The ships don't have smaller guns because the moncal ships have superior targeting systems rendering things like light turbolasers unnecessary. The problem this leads to is no good way to deal with corvettes; NR smaller ships feel like glass cannons that really need to be kept in the back at maximum range, which is fine vs pure capital fleets(which, I find, no faction ever builds anyways), but sending them to attack corvettes is insta-death. That said, I really enjoy NR's ground game the most out of the factions I've played so far. The troopers are surprisingly strong, the A-4B's are better than AT-AT's and amazing for defending planets on the ground, and they've got some nice hit and run vehicles. Stacking heroes of endor is also a really nice touch and fun to do on infantry-heavy enemy planets. The MPTL is also interesting - not as good vs infantry as other artillery, but better vs vehicles and buildings. Also, side question; is there any plan to fix maldrood's AI in recruit? It's way too aggressive compared to any other faction. This is easy to replicate, just play on recruit for a bit in any progressive GC and maldrood will swallow up the entire right half of the galaxy by week 30-40 every single time. Later in game, it becomes player vs maldrood as every other faction is too drained by maldrood's curbstomp to put up a fight, leading to a rather frustrating experience. I would play on a higher difficulty, but it's just too fast for me considering it's very difficult to anticipate enemy movements in this game.
Start with securing a path to sullust, clear out the south sector and slowly expand to the core and east. Forget about stuff in the north besides defensive stuff

While I congratulate the people who made this, which is absolutely incredible, I don't like how heavily they gutted the game to the point that it no longer resembles it's former self. What I simply want is a continuation of the original game that adds onto it, not changes it and how the game works, but simply adds new units, new planets, updates the models and graphics, etc. Unfortunately it seems that all the mods out there for Empire at War are determined to gut and fundamentally change the game completely.
The nice w Thing with modding is you're free to make your own when the ones out there don't align with what you want. To be frank, I do not enjoy playing the base game. I have no desire to make a mod which keeps the things I don't like about it.

It's not an anti fighter frigate though, like I said, it's anti ship. Point defense is given to ships with rapid laser cannons, the Sacheen doesn't have those.
Do fighters do more damage in this version? I've played earlier ones and fighters just seem to not be able to put out enough damage to make taking carriers worthwhile. Even hitting an ISD with 10+ squadrons of X-Wings/Light Bombers doesn't seem to be able to do enough damage to take down the shields without backup. Carriers so far haven't been worth it - even in late era stuff K-Wings (to me, at least) haven't really felt like they put out enough to make it viable. No real reason to use carriers.
