@miskee11 to be 100% honest he would actually have a decent chance of winning. He's more athletic and boxing tends to favour stamina to a degree it would depend mostly of Mitchel can throw a decent punch.
@@AlexVonCrank If Mitch cuts to Mariusz's bf, hell be stronger than him. But likely he wouldnt be able to win a strongman comp with that lvl of strenght these days.
Cbum retires right as Mitch is at his most dominant... coincidence? I think not! He's coming for Stan Efferding's World's Strongest Bodybuilder title! 😂
It’s gotta help a ton that Mitch does all the non-strongman stuff that so many other strongman don’t do; the cardio, bodybuilding, intelligent dieting, ect. Also Eddie shoulders are just beyond understanding. He’s pressing 100kg per hand and usually it’s like the 3rd or 4th exercise. Unreal.
This comment is not to take away from Mitch, he is innovating. But strongman as a sport is behind most sports. Just about every other sport ever knows that you must be a well rounded athlete to succeed. Yes, you need to train in a focused way, but bad cardio and mountains of fat being the standard is bound to be worse than someone who’s got enough fat to support his joints, but also is dropping unnecessary weight that will hurt him, and working on his heart so it can fuel is massive body.
@@PhaythGaming the open has been that way but if you look at weight class strongman, it's incredibly competitive, fast, and athletic. The performances you can see out of the 90kg and 105kg classes are bananas

don't try to train like a geared up top level athlete. Learn some more and don't focus on killing yourself at first. It takes time to build up to higher volume and you need to support your body with good sleep, good food, enough food and more if you want to look like these guys.
No one's gonna beat Marius showing up to WSM looking like he's a few weeks out of the Olympia and winning the show. Main reason I got into strongman lol
Good fit trainer wise it seems, and the fact you can have that bro jokey laughing kind of relationship will definitely help kill the monotony you had from training solo recently Interested to see what improvements you have from this adjacent training heading into next season
I thought after the marathon stuff he did become a bodybuilder, won a competition or more and then started getting into Strength Sports when he realized he actually had immense potential
@@LatimusChadimus He competed in a natural show in the 198's. he did very badly, he looked emaciated. he was several inches too tall for his weight class, especially with his robust frame
@danoeb-g418 interesting. When I started following him earlier this year I thought he said about winning a show but maybe he simply said he competed in bodybuilding
I doubt he would, the level of ped use for bodybuilding is magnitudes higher than any performance pursuit. Which is a little counterintuitive but outlines how destructive pro bodybuilding is
Would love to see a training/posing session with Evan Singleton since you both had very brief bodybuilding phases before getting into strongman. Evan didn’t do super well in bodybuilding either, but his posing was/is on point.
5:57, lactic acid is a misnomer, lactate is created from exercising muscle, but hydrogen protons are what contribute more to fatigue and acidosis within the tissue. Lactate clears from muscle relatively quickly post exercise as well and is converted to pyruvate and glucose in the liver.
You have no idea what you're talking about. Any chemist knows that hydrogen is a proton, so "hydrogen protons" is not only nonsensical, it is redundant.
@glagav it's semantics. Whether one says protons or hydrogen protons it's the same thing but just adds additional clarity to the person who may not know where the protons are coming from. The physiological process is characterized correctly.
I didn’t know you were building your own home gym. I’ve probably missed that news along the way, sorry. Did you look at other home gyms e.g. Brian Shaw’s? I’m sure there was some learning to be had from his gym and others. Very excited to see it!!!
does anyone think mitch took a look at eddie's training style after this season's deadlift performance and decided to replicate what he was doing back then, everything here looks like eddie's workouts ah at 8:05 he mentions eddie, just what I was thinking, student of the game
Jon Pall Sigmarsson use to do bodybuilding in strongman off season ,think he use to win a few comps aswell, defo never did him any harm he was a strongman legend 💪
You talking about the bicep litmus test really relates to my thoughs on my achilles. One had felt tender and i feel like I need to run on it harder. Either i needs strengthening around the tendon or its fucked, needs to snap and then surgery
Maybe run us through diet changes and how your recovery is going to change given the increase in volume...would be interesting to see how that might need to change up.
Man, that was really valuable when you talked about that bicep tear. I tore my bicep also and tendon is fully off from the bone. I have always thought should I go to the surgery or would I just let it be and strengthen it. This happened like 2 years back and I have just tried to strengthen it even tough it has been a bit annoying since it doesnt feel 100% anymore. So, you think I shouldnt go to surgery? That wouldnt strenghten it but make it worse after so many years? I hear armwrestlers want the tendon be attached lower so the muscle would stretch more and would be even stronger. I would still like to use my biceps fully but not sure what should I do. Appreaciate if you see this message and spare time to answer, thanks.
And my bicep also torn so much that It was hard to get anymore pump to it. First year, I wasnt able to see no veins, the muscle was just weird all over and I could get a proper tension to it.
Mitchell Hooper is going to be the body builder that Eddie said he would be.
Just waiting for him to beat Thor in the boxing ring.
Lol Mitch has already been the bodybuilder Eddie said he would be. There’s nothing this guy can’t do

I also can't see Eddie hiring a body building coach and doing exactly what they told him too.
I NEED to see Dr Mike & Jared do a session with Mitch
Yes please
That would be phenomenal
Yes yes yes and yes
How many likes do we need to convince him that this is a good idea

Mitch the Moose Dominator.
Marius is a one-off. There will never be a man that size, that strong, that lean. He's a freak amongst freaks.
