Valve actually has extremely talented animators on board already. The problem is that whenever they make an FPS game, the first person animations always gets the short end of the stick compared to everything else. Everything from the characters to the environmental set pieces always gets top quality animations but for some reason the first person animations are always comparatively the weakest in terms of quality.

Honestly, even by 2012 standards I always found the game's weapon models to be quite ugly, I just brushed it off because it was a multiplayer game at the time, especially its reloads, but 12 years later the minimum was to have new animations. .. The weapons in the game appear to be airsoft or toy weapons.
I am praying that these aren’t final, the models are so good, it’d be a shame to have them wasted on these old ass animations. Along with that, some are really glitchy, like the mp5.

I think Valve is just "Copying and Pasting" the same animations from CS:GO to CS2 but the progression and inventory of players being transferred from CS:GO to CS2 is a good excuse to keep these animations.

Valve has incredibly talented animators. These animations were probably done by Hidden Path entertainment when CSGO was still in development.
