The one you actually define is emergency/speed reload where you immediately dump the empty magazine, insert the full one, and charge the weapon.
Back when I played BF4 often, I remember I always wanted to see a concise first-person model comparison between the numerous guns in this game that are from the same families (ACE's, AK's, etc.), and now I finally get the chance to do so. Great video, Hectorlo!
These animations are a little bit rough by today's standards, but I think they hold up extremely well for a game released in 2013. The sounds are absolutely fantastic and hold up perfectly well today. The game itself is great, probably the best Battlefield released to date. I'm probably gonna play some later today.
The only game that does better would be CoD Modern Warfare 2019. And it isn't by much, CoD simply caught up to Battlefield. Insurgency Sandstorm gets an honorable mention but the reloads themselves are a bit slow. And the recoil and resetting animations are still jerky and not very good even if the reloading looks nice.
4:12 If you put it on 0.25 speed and look closely, you can see the magazine release interacting correctly with the mag(pushed forward for a little bit when mag is inserted), something we saw only in MW 2019. nice to see such stuff have been done in 2013(i think only for the AS VAL? because the mag release can be seen clearly?)

@Imieniek Nazwisek It’s literally a semiautomatic pistol by definition, how is it a revolver? A revolver is a handgun with a cylinder that turns when the hammer is cocked or the trigger is pulled, depending on double or single action revolver. A semiautomatic pistol is a magazine fed handgun with a slide that recoils backwards to reset the hammer or striker to fire again. Just because a Desert Eagle is a big bore, 50 AE doesn’t make it a revolver. There are also small caliber revolvers that shoot 22lr, 22wmr etc. You must not know much about guns.
If you look closely, when he lets go of the speed loader there's still rounds in it. Dice goof up, too. Still, treyarch are miles worse in that regard lmao.
There has always been a thing about BF reloads, unlike some other games which I won’t mention. The reloads for every gun are never too slow or never too fast. It’s satisfying having the perfect reload speed to never complain about.
I love BF4's animations because they're incredibly smooth and to the point. I really liked Modern Warfare 2019's as well but sometimes I feel like they're too jittery and quick like all the characters in that game are on Adderall.

you might disagree with this but i just want a simple pump after every shells are loaded, not this semi-complicated directly loading 1 shell to the firing chamber
@@redactedgamersgd1788 it's not really that complicated if you ask. When your pump shotgun is empty, you simply pull the action back, put a shell through the ejection port and close the action (in the case of tube fed semi autos like the M1014, the bolt usually locks back after the last shot, so you put a shell through the ejection port and press the bolt release), then you can either fire that shell or fill up your tube whatever you so choose if circumstances dictate. As a result, you have an extra shell in the chamber ready to fire along with the shells loaded in the tube.
One of my favorite little bits of sound design for the reloads is you can hear the sound of the soldier pulling out the magazine sliding against his clothing. You can hear it in a lot of the assault rifle reloads and it's such a small touch but it's so good.

You can tell when you've played too much BF4. I recognized about a third of the guns on sound alone. I knew when the Mk11 came up, the second I heard that sound. (I have close to 8k kills with that DMR). solid video.
In exception to the open-bolt light machine guns, battled field 4 had weapon reloads on point. Only correction I could make is that open-bolt machine guns like the M249, M240, PKM, ect, do not need the the bolt charged back if you are changing belts before running the gun empty. IE, if you still have a belt loaded, just open that feed tray cover, swap belts, close her up and get back to blasting the enemy. The only time you should be manipulating the bolt with a belt loaded is when you have a malfunction. And palm facing up when you charge the M249!
I keep hearing ppl tell me that battlefield has the best reloads, and while the sounds - especially for a 2013 game - are just amazing, the animations themselves are really flat and buggy sometimes like tf is this 4:045:45
I mean, I have no problem with the game, very enjoyable, but the animations have those problems: each gun category has same/similar animations (that applies mostly on pistols and shotguns) and they reloads feel robotic. Apart from that, Dice did a great job. But damn, my favorite gotta be SCAR-H, badass as hell.
@@FerrariF1Seb05Fan Nope. Reloading is actually one of the SPAS-12's problems. Check out how the SPAS-12 operates. R6Siege, MW2 Remastered, BOCW(almost) got it right.
@@mistertililing5933 In R6S and BOCW, it's in semi-auto mode. Here in BF4 is in pump mode. Here the reload is the same technique with MW2R: Open the bolt with the pump, insert one round in the chamber, close the bolt and the rest rounds go to the tube.
Man this game had awesome animations and sounds. I love it. M9 and M16A4 have been my favourite combo since I was a kid. I’m always happy when a modern Battlefield has them in game.

The simple animations for the pistol reloads are oddly satisfying.
1:45 POV: your getting lit up and you have to reload
Looking at this game and playing it in 2020 keeps me remains how much this is ahead of its time for 2013 title
Yea not even 2021 got a game to surpass it 😂
5:22
My goodness look at that badass gun. Glorious days of battlefield 😭
Bfv doesn’t exist
@@jimboonie9885 yeah that game is garbage. Especially when it comes to anti cheat
Eh, i can still kick the shit out of someone using the MTAR with the burst fire on the AN-94
I like how the guns have simple reloads and nothing too fancy
0:49 mares leg sounded like a clock lmao 😂😂
Boy you haven't heard of Kolibri
if there were weapon inspections in this game, the intervention would shine
2:02 did the shell just magically go back into the chamber??
Nah man it's just an illusion take your pills
Yk people say 2042's animations are stiff but... look at this! Look! LOOK!
This seems smooth though
All those pistols and yet the only pistol in campaign I could use was MP412 Rex
Disappointing
Oh well i can use them all in MP
These videos are so satisfying ❤
These are all just simple and quiet.
A detail I've just noticed is that the trigger discipline when reloading nice detail
when a Swedish company whose employees probably never fired a real gun before makes more accurate gun animations than 90% of American companies
the pistol animations are shit they’re the same but nothing can beat mw2019
@@kristinakramer2397 who really cares about animations when the game ain't fun lol
@@ichiban_co., i have more fun on Cold War then MW19, that's how much bullshit the mp on MW is. That the mp on the "more worse COD" is better than the, "best since BO2" COD
@@kristinakramer2397, ahem, Black Ops 1 1911 and Commando would like to have a word with you
You can tell when you've played too much BF4. I recognized about a third of the guns on sound alone. I knew when the Mk11 came up, the second I heard that sound. (I have close to 8k kills with that DMR). solid video.
I'll recognize AK-12 sound anywhere
The shotgun shells eject so slow it’s like low gravity
In exception to the open-bolt light machine guns, battled field 4 had weapon reloads on point.
Only correction I could make is that open-bolt machine guns like the M249, M240, PKM, ect, do not need the the bolt charged back if you are changing belts before running the gun empty.
IE, if you still have a belt loaded, just open that feed tray cover, swap belts, close her up and get back to blasting the enemy. The only time you should be manipulating the bolt with a belt loaded is when you have a malfunction.
And palm facing up when you charge the M249!
The only reason to use the charging handle first is to get the hammer cocked before inserting belts and firing.
@@v12ts.gaming open bolt machine guns don’t have a hammer🤦♂️
@@TheUnseenSoldier my mistake 😣
@@v12ts.gaming clear the chamber* is more correct here :))
@@hailuong9295 dude, this comment is 4 months old and i already realized my mistake 😂
Battlefield 4 predicted how 2020 is going to be.
Confirmed by collapse of Rogue Transmission.
I love how the pistols and rifles that have a slide release or bolt catch were used after the mag was empty each round
I keep hearing ppl tell me that battlefield has the best reloads, and while the sounds - especially for a 2013 game - are just amazing, the animations themselves are really flat and buggy sometimes
like tf is this 4:04 5:45
The funny thing is that many of these reloads are as fast if not faster than the classic sleight of hand cod reloads
exactly
5:13 that was quick and smooth
I can't wait for another modern Battlefield.
Would battlefield 2042 count?
@@xprgamez4244 *sighs*
Well...
I always loved how the MP412's rounds just exploded out of the cylinder when reloading 😂
I agree
Yeah. They also got SPAS-12 reload wrong.
@@mistertililing5933 I think it's correct.
Here the reload is the same technique with MW2R: Open the bolt with the pump, insert one round in the chamber, close the bolt and the rest rounds go to the tube.
crazy how there's night and day difference in quality between some of these
Only real bf4 players know the pain of reloading the UTS-15
Worth it for how much of a beast the UTS is tbf
I love how the pistol reloads are basically the same
9:09 the S t i n g e r W e i n e r
Man, the self loading shotguns reload still looks and sounds great today.
The realoads are kinda way too smooth, i wish they were rougher and more crunchy
Man this game had awesome animations and sounds. I love it. M9 and M16A4 have been my favourite combo since I was a kid. I’m always happy when a modern Battlefield has them in game.
Battlefield Bad company, 3 and 4 also. These are anticipated technology, physics and graphics videogames than current COD's
Thank you Hectorlo.
So spoiled for choice in guns, I just got the game because of the variety!
Even I no longer play PvP games at this point, I would said this game age really really well
