I love that you are falling down the Dan Rabbit Hole, Welcome to the Vasc Nation. Those are Famous TH-camrs not fans. You do know that English is not his first language and depending on the year the song was made his English gets better and better.
His English definitely improved as he got more involved in the youtube sphere hanging around regularly with people in America like nerdrotic and the guys at geeks and gamers

I love your reactions to Dan so much. This wonderful version is one I have listened to many times and enjoy just as much as the first time. The cameos are by other YT artists, the very prominent ones are Jonathan Young and Peter Hollens. The full list is in his description. I have heard many other reactors say that Dan's diction, pronunciation, etc., is so good that they can understand lyrics they have heard sung for years, when they didn't before. Thank you for continuing to react to more of Dan's covers. Enjoyed your reaction. As others have already commented, the guest spots were from other TH-camrs (some quite successful on their own). About the pronunciation or "crispness" of those words - one vocal technique Dan frequently employs is that, for phrases which repeat within the same song, he'll pronounce them slightly differently each time to add different texture and sound - presumably to keep it a bit more interesting. This is one of my favorites from Dan. Love, love, love that very last high note (high A flat! )

You need to check out the “extra” singers. They each have their own channel. Peter Hollens has over 3M subscribers! He does a lot of collaborations and I know that you are already familiar with some of those artists. Jonathan Young is the only other one that I’m familiar with and he has almost 61K subscribers. I’m sure others will comment on the remainder.

I've been following Dan for 10 years and I've loved him ever since, and I've only seen him mature professionally in his singing and in the production of his videos. tks
Love Dan's version better than the original (again). Those guests are TH-cam personalities and vocal coaches (Skar, Jonathan Young, Ken Tamplin, etc). Dan's finale to Adeste Fideles is also a mic drop like this one. You can't go wrong with any of his Christmas songs. I'll pull up a video sometimes just for particular things I want to hear again like those finales. I highly recommend Dan's duet with Violet Orlandi performing a metal version of Seal's "Kiss From a Rose." Enjoyed your reaction to this & just watching you discover the same things we have about Dan.😊

I love it when opera singers like metal so much. LOL
And we need to mention that the backup choir is all Dan. And he has said that the last note of this song is the highest he has hit on a recording. The top of his awesome 4 octaves range.
According to Range Planet, Dan’s range is D2 to B5, so a little under 4 octaves. And this high note is one he does quite a lot - probably this one just felt higher. 😊 🎶

As a Brit, I found your comments about pronunciation of fire and river interesting. We would have the same lesser R that Dan did in speaking those words, never mind singing them. It makes me curious as to whether European opera students in America need to alter their accents to be deemed correct. And yes, Dan is awesome. You should have a look at his Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar. Bar a word mix up, it's perfect to this untrained ear.

Every time I watch your reactions I am always smiling throughout. Your energy and joy while listening and reacting is SO awesome!! I love that you've discovered Dan, there are so many people out there to react to, if you've ever heard of Faouzia, she is amazing. She does some great stripped versions of her songs, I think the best one is Tears of Gold, with close seconds being You Don't Even Know Me and Bad Dreams. If you get around to hearing some of her songs, that would be great, she is currently competing on a Chinese show called (I Am A) Singer 2024, they just finished week 8 and she is constantly in one of the top 3 spots.
