What is the presence of patches of nettles indicating to soil health in a pasture? What can be done to encourage the pasture on to better grass growth in these areas? They seem to be areas of greater moisture but not exclusively.

Thank you William. That is about what I expected the answer to be. Been trying to cut it down before it seeds and usually would have kept the weed closely cut, but.. don't have a mower and can't use the belly mower on the landscaping tractor, due to the steepness of the pasture.

@NorthsideDork_3043 - I have dozens of trees planted in sets of two that are 2ft apart, each set is 8-12ft apart, depending on the size of rootstock... They form a border row on the inside of my fence, 12-16ft from center, with fruiting vines along the fence. If you're willing to look after them, they'll be good.

I made a compost tea using dayflower weed, then after about 1 year of brewing, I spread the rotted remains into my compost. The roots/ seeds lived, and now I have dayflower in my garden!!!! Argh!!

If memory serves, Gravenstein apple trees need another variety of apple for pollination.

I've done both the soil food web fundamentals and am currently in Matt Powers class, I have both an Omax and LW Scientific scopes, with the epifluorescence. Working on my shed to classroom/library/microscopy lab, if I can help on the computer side.

Love your videos! Please continue making them.
QUESTION: Where do you personally turn to for good information?
In one of your videos you recently referenced the "Real AF" podcast. I checked it out and really like it. It got me to thinking. Would you and your dad consider doing a video together where you would go over what news stations, resources, podcasts and true information sources you turn to for accurate unbiased and honest reports? I really like your take on the world situation, and also respect your dad's take on it as well. I'm not really asking about permaculture. I believe you both have that pretty well covered with your TH-cam channels. There's a big need for staying current with world political and culture events. I'm not a sheeple. I don't trust most all the major news services or their propaganda machines. I'm just curious what you two would recommend. Maybe even list off the top 10 books to read. Podcasts lists? Online radio sources? What sources of information would you both recommend for someone getting up to date on the current course of human affairs?
    Thanks

#PermacultureQnA - Hey William, between you and your parents, and other people you work with, you have a lot of animal experience. Could you do a video on different animals, pros and cons and reasons why you fight not want them from your own experience in certain scenarios etc.
