The models are amazing (i own the KD:M 1.5) but i must say the needless complexity of the assembly is ridiculous (5 pieces for an almost naked 35mm human, really?).
I don't think we needed to rinse these ones. The material did not seem to have too much mold release and spray paint coated them well. but if the set you have does feel a bit greasy a rinse with some soap and a toothbrush wont do any harm and shouldn't mess with the assembly after everything is dry.
Does no one follow the guide on the website for KDM? They literally tell you exactly how to put each piece together in the right order. These tips are also really unhelpful and too generic. Most only apply to one maybe two models. Then you just speed through the fill in step. "Step 1, just fill them in dummy." When I put mine together, I had practically no gaps. Seems like you missed the filing and fitting step when building them. Pretty unhelpful all around
For starters,,fantastic intro music..! I love the look of these monsters..they look so good:)
Great tips, can't wait for the showcase!
Cool models, nice tips
Nice video. Ive been using plastic cement (tamaya thin) to melt the pieces together. The seams are still bad on a few models tho.
+brewgeek1 The tamaya always has a good bond for us. The thin would definitely not be great for mold lines though.
Thank you for your really useful help!
very nice models thanks for the share.
+ta24u yah some of the detail on those models are the best I’ve seen!
I recommend tweezers that close automatically.

Did you wash these in warm, soapy water before assembly? I can't find any articles that mention prep one way or another.

Cool vid guys....Yep time to work that putty knife , just a bit of modeling on these guys no doubt! :)
