He seems like he’s grown up a lot and this accident could have been a blessing in disguise so you could both be around eachother for the best of your daughter. It takes a lot for what you all been through so the fact that him and his family were there for you during one of the most difficult scary times in your life says a lot.

Elsy you are so genuine and transparent, which is very respectable. Only you know what’s meant for you. You can’t compare to anyone else’s situation. As long as you stay on this path of growing it’ll all work out.
You can tell Elijah has so much love for Elsy. & you can tell he is hopeful for the future. Though it’s been 2 years I definitely believe in maturing and going to therapy together to set a foundation in order to work together to get that family back. Even if things don’t go that route it’s always good to go regardless to be able to co-parent to the best enough to always feel like a family for Elanie. I hope nothing but blessing for you guys ❤

Being co-parents and friends is the best thing you can do for Ehlani. You don’t want to go backwards and to that toxicity. Work on that co parent relationship. Elijah if I may Iam going to give you a little advice from a girl that went thru something very similar 10 years ago! My husband made me fall In love with him again! He romanticized everything for us! He did everything he could to show me how much he loved me! And I don’t mean just flowers or gifts although he also sent flowers and gifts he did acts of kindness and acts of service for me! He would take things off my plate or to do list! He dated me again! He was gentle and sweet! He told me how much I meant to him with his actions! The courts had him do anger management also but he took it a step farther and signed up for additional classes! He did therapy ALL ON HIS OWN! He worked for 2 years to show me how much he loved us! Me and his baby! After 2 yrs I gave him a 2nd chance! Mind you he never asked for a 2nd chance he just did things to make me love him again! We have been married for i think 12 years now! 4 of those were NOT the best! Now I say he is the PERFECT man for us! ❤

I’ve been with my husband going on 15 years and we still have arguments and we don’t like some things about each other, there has been days where I wanted to just give up, not every day is going to be a good day with each other. You have to fight for what you truly want. We all have our trauma and issues that we get from experiences and from our parents, we’re human. I’m rooting for you all Elsy, take everyday for what it is and accept the change, accept the love, accept everything that makes you feel good. I also think you should set boundaries rather than just have this wall up with Elijah, true love is hard to find and from the outside in, I see you guys truly love each other you’re just hurt from his actions, I see that he is willing to fix things if you’re willing to let him. Not a lot of men will do half the things Elijah has done in this situation. Of course he’s going to have his faults and isn’t perfect but look at all he’s going for you, the baby and your family, he doesn’t have to do that. Don’t take offense to any of this because I am always rooting for you. Life is short and God has blessed you so much, don’t be so hard on yourself, you are worthy & you deserve love.

A lot of people are waiting for that perfect somebody, you have to put in the work and know that there’s a lot of hiccups in relationships. Not saying you should settle for less or take and take and take until you can’t handle no more but to really trust and believe in the love, put God first and know that you can work on yourself while working through the relationship. Growing and healing together and putting God front and center in the family.
