In this video life Technologies staff scientist, David Bourdon Ph.D walks through the steps of a traditional wet blot/western transfer. Did you know you can perform a western protein transfer without buffer in 7 minutes?
Learn about both options by visiting the link above or watch this video how-to using the iBlot® - Western Blotting System • Video

Is this module compatible with traditional Tris-glycine-methanol transfer buffer, or it has to go with the ThermoFisher transfer buffer when using Bis-Tris gel?

We use methanol-free transfer buffer (20 mM Tris-Base / 200 mM glycine) in our Mini-PROTEAN modules - can this be used in your apparatus? Also, should I chill my buffer and water when transferring one or two gels? My mini-cell has a molded circular space built in - is that for a stir bar (should I stir?)?

Yes, you can. Have a look at this improved system: www.thermofisher.com/order/catalog/product/NW2000

He doesn't wash off the secondary before detection? The absolute mad man.

In the parlance of our times: this isn't your father's wet protein transfer.
