One of the best endings if not the best. All the questions answered, loose ends tied and a truly happy ending for each of our favourite main characters. I wish the series continued on but I'm satisfied with how it ended and can re-watch all the episodes if I'm ever down about it ending. :)

I watched monk, psych, supernatural and smallville with my dad on weekends (My parents were divorced) My dad died before monk ended (He died in june of the year) and watching the end of that and hearing the song did a number on me. :( Because I sure do miss him now that he's gone. We have always loved randy newman my parents raised me on good music. Rest in peace Kenneth Rex Gower III

Randy Newman is a genius. And this show...damn. just finished watching all 8 seasons. Incredible!!!
The ending when this song was playing made it feel like the show was going on, but we would never see the rest of Adrian Monk's mysteries, because he had solved his biggest one ever.
I just saw the last episode of this masterpiece and I am speechless, it hits so hard when Mr. Monk meets Molly, damn I didn't except that incredible ending !!!!!

I watched this tv show as it came out. i remembered crying during a couple scattered episodes; I also remembered crying during the last episode. My fiance and I just had a monk marathon of our own, and we watched all eight seasons again. I cried during this entire song and even a good few minutes after it ended. I was shocked. I was like oh I already cried the first time around so it won't happen again-- but it did. Monk is a great show and I'm sad there's no new episodes, but I'm happy for Monk. I'm happy for the closure he gets and I'm happy he's got Molly to help him the way Trudy used to. Tony Shalhoub is a great actor. And so is everyone else in this show.

Randy Newman... one of those people that just knows how to wright a damn good song. Beautifully and meaningfully written, but not flowery and pretentious, solid, perfectly emotional melodies, and a beautifully mournful, yet somehow positive voice. Simply amazing.

When I hear this song, I recall the scene from MONK. And at the finale, it touched me so much. It is so “Finale” song ever.
Use to watch this show with my father growing up, he's battling brain cancer right now and we're re watching the show. This song always made me tear up but now it hits like a truck. I dont know why but this was one special show.

This was my dad's favourite TV show leading up to his diagnosis of lung cancer, in 2010/11 he loved this song so much that he requested this song be played at his funeral, and it was. Gets me everytime. R.I.P auld boy.

Just finished watching all the episodes of the 8 seasons, after many years since i watched it on TV. I don't know, if anyone mentioned the therapeutic effect this show possibly had on people, suffering from at least one of Monk's phobias. He sure helped me. He put a smile on my face, every time. Thanks for everything.
Monk is without a doubt probably one of the greatest if not the greatest television series, it just had such a perfect story and humor and characters and it all blended together amazingly, the show as a whole made me very emotional more times than I can count, but the finale really got to me and this song was a great ending to everything.

Just finished watching Mr. Monk final episode on Hallmark Channel and it was so perfect and so well developed. Amazing how relevant the character's germaphobia is to the pandemic we're all living in now. Instead of a phobia kook during the series run, his character has now become the new norm. The show never gets old or boring and will always be one of the most beloved. Love love love Mr. Monk!
