This is definitely a song for the fans. As if they knew how much pain we would be in to see our Monk leave us. I feel as if Monk is somehow personally saying thank you to us fans for being there for him. It's just a sweet thought to think that Monk will miss us just as much as we will miss him, it's like he knows that we were there for him through everything. (Yes, I know Monk isn't real. this song brings me to tears every time I hear it. it is the epitome of my life right now and I keep putting off facing the issue because i don't want to go through that misery that's just around the corner. it's hard to lose someone you love so very much- regardless of the reason why.

I was hit by a car in 2019 and woke to find my son had died of a drug over dose. I had a mini stroke when they told me. This song came on the other day. It was the first time I'd ever heard it. I know its from my son.

I lost a friend of over 70 years as well as my ex-wife that I never stopped loving since 1970...all within several days of each other. This song helped me coup with my sadness. I want it played at my funeral. Thank you Mr Newman.
When I watch that episode I was already teary-eyed when the Melody started to play and the song took form in the words I just lost it tears streaming down my face snot began to come LOL this also all took place around the time of my mom's passing so it just really was like a nail in my heart it's a beautiful song and it's one I want played cuz I sure am going to miss my family when I'm gone
