I am a full-time designer and editor. The iPad mini was my favorite purchase last year and continues to be a staple in my workflow as a creator! I look forward to using it in 2023 to create and get more done!

Definitely one of the best purchases I've made thus far. I'm not in design but it serves as a great all-in-one device for me on the go. I use it as my planner, journal and cheat sheet when i'm giving a presentation and just need quick peeks at my talking points. Looks much more professional holding on to an ipad than loose sheets of paper definitely.

Excellent video! As a Tax Preparer and entrepreneur I use my iPad Mini 6 everyday when meeting with clients in my tax work I use it for due diligence notes and gathering information thanks to iCloud when I get back to the office I have all my notes on my MacBook Pro. I use it for content consumption and will be using it for my upcoming TH-cam channel as well.
its the best purchase ive ever made. i only regret not getting cellular on it so i could do more than just notes at work

iPad Mini 6 is my favorite iPad ever hands down!
I carry my iPad mini 6 with me whenever practical and most of the time I continue using it when I get home. I have a 12.9 M1 which I barely use and a 2019 Air 3, I at one point was considering trading in my Air 3 but I never got around to that so it became my next most used device. I’m glad I didn’t get rid of my Air 3 but my # 1 device is the mini 6

As a pinoy living in the states, it was cool seeing you use the ipad mini for architect work. I often wonder how construction differs from the States to Pinas when I visit.
I gave my 11" iPad pro to my wife and 'upgraded' to an iPad mini 6 about 6 months ago. I am very happy with the move. Like you, I find the size perfect. I also carry it around in a sling bag and it goes everywhere with me. I often left my 11" iPad behind, because it was just not portable enough. I use my iPad mini when I teach classes, take notes, keep my schedule, access my documents, and of course responding to emails etc. It has been the perfect tool for me! I travel quite a lot, and so having a smaller device with great battery life and a full feature set, is perfect for me! Thanks for the great video.

I have one. It’s replaced my iPad 9th generation. I do everything on it…music production, artwork, video editing, photo editing, streaming. And i can take it with me everywhere.

I just bought this and coming from the iPad Mini 4, this is am amazing upgrade. My wife has the iPad 10th generation and although it’s new it’s limited to the Apple Pencil 1 and I honestly don’t need a keyboard for my iPad. Have to say I love this thing so far. With my iPhone 14 Pro Max and a MacBook Pro 13” this is perfect for me. I can carry this around easily and don’t have to worry about the need for a bag.
Its charm is in its portability.
I use my ipad mini 6 almost everyday. The only thing thats bothering me is app developer such as adobe is extremely slow to update their apps. I find myself constantly switching apps to get things done or save it and then do it on my laptop later. Didnt really like staggering workflow. Also the snapping windows when using it in vertical position is something that apple should redesign. They could have it layout the windows top and bottom instead of left and right. Should also give user more freedom to resize just like how snapping works in windows 11 tablet.

the reason why I wouldn't get the ipad mini is actually its form factor. since it is really small, you can carry it anywhere like a phone. And that's actually a minus for me because I hate to live with my eyes glued to the screen all the time. With bigger tablets, I'll be only bringing and using the device when I need to get the work done. So to sum it up I don't like a tablet to be as accessible as a phone. That's also the reason why I use a flip phone which has no internet.

I'm literally like not figuratively literally obsessed with the iPad mini. I'm going to get one as soon as I can afford it, which will probably be a refurbished one after the 7 comes out.

Scrolling bug killed it for me. Plus, the screen consistently bugged out when connected to a beamer. Couldn’t write on it anymore so ditched it for the pro. No problems since.

I’ve had the Mini 6 since launch. Great performance and form factor but that’s about it. Many apps aren’t optimized for this firm factor, the keyboard is either too small in portrait mode or too large in landscape. Mine overheats in hot, humid weather and loses Wi-Fi. Being a Samsung user I find iOS far less flexible on this device. But no one else makes a small tablet with this performance.
I also use an iPad mini 6 as a notebook replacement from time to time. I am a fan of Bullet Journaling and I have started exploring digital planning through this device. Ganda ng videography. Keep it up.

I got my mini last year too. I was supposed to use it when I go back to onsite work, but I ended up buying a surface go 2 with lte since we use windows at work. I don't need the mini anymore, but I can't bring myself to sell it. I love it that much. I feel like the mini 6 is the perfect iPad. Keep up the good work, ganda ng video.

I just ordered one. I’m a crane operator that also buys real estate to rent homes out. And I’m gonna use it to look for property and finances, and surfing the web instead of using my phone. I sit in the cab a lot and it will be nice to have A bigger screen to get my side work and errands done.

How do you feel about the keychron keyboard? How good is it?
I got a redragon low profile, but the up arrow being before the right shift button is so bad that i miss type so many times that i regret getting it.
Keychron K3 is absolutely a great keyboard for typing in my experience! I have the brown keys. 😄

I got mine when it first came out, and I still love it! It handles LumaFusion 4K videos with ease. I use it exclusively for editing nowadays.
The ONLY gripe I have is the horrible Files app. I tried bringing the Mini 6 on recent travels, leaving my laptop at home. I used it for transferring files from my camera to an external SD card (with a multiport dongle).
Big mistake! It was an EXCRUCIATING experience. Many files got corrupted, and sometimes copying would even stop inexplicably halfway (the progress circle is useless).
Oh, another nitpick is the scrub bar when watching fullscreen video. It is toooo close to the app switcher bar, so I often end up switching apps instead of fast forwarding/reversing.

Oh wow! Learned a lot from you too. Haven’t tried video editing with the iPad Mini, but will try it out too. And yes, there might be some problems with transferring big files, but seems like RAW images don’t have any challenges so far. Thanks for the insight!
@@ark.curate Ahh yes… I was trying to transfer video files from an Insta360 Go2 (which has internal SSD, and no port for external SD). The video is only 1440p, so nowhere close to 4K, but there were still many issues.

Thank you, i’ve been contemplating to either buy ipad pro m1 or ipad mini 6. I’ve used ipad pro before but i always think that it’s too big. I’m also concerned about the spec, should i buy ipad mini 6 or wait for probably the incoming series. Now i think i’ll just go with the ipad mini 6. ☺️
Definitely a better choice in my opinion. I really think that the M1 iPads were for a very specific niche market only. Probably people who will use it as a main device for their work. I'm excited for you to experience the iPad Mini 6 for yourself!

I’ve had 4 iPad minis over the years. Used it mostly for flying. But with no innovation and with just processor updates does not seem like of use anymore. Feel like Samsung keeps updating on all aspects and Apple seems to just add the processor. I was hoping apple would change seems like they won’t budge.

I don’t think you’ll regret the iPad. You can also get gently used ones on Swappa. I’ve gotten an iPad Pro 11 & a MacBook Air M1 on there with no issues and great discount ( seller even gave me free accessories 😊)

Hi Jerome! I think it will entirely depend on your needs. If you’re also looking into using an iPad for intensive creative tasks, then I heard the Pro series is a great choice! If you’re looking for general tasks like notes and planning, then iPad Mini 6 is more than enough. Plus, it’s really portable too.

I think a 2018 pro is a good choice. I love the mini but I notice the body is smaller than the iPad 5. The screen is just bigger. I would get the mini but if your getting a 256 gb mini. Your paying a ton for it

Banking I don't use anything else - content I think I've part watched every Film Noir on you tube - that is partly because I always fall asleep before the film is concluded and the screen brightness doesn't keep me awake :) I could add much more I love it money well spent

Can you imagine getting an iphone that unfolds into an ipad mini with extremely high specs and lots of storage, and then when you plug it into a monitor and with dex, it turns into an imac or macbook. Wouldn't that be great? That's the Z Fold 4!

Only suggestion: don't rely on autofocus on your camera.. it really made some shots pretty wonky when it was focused just on the edge of the ipad and not the screen, and a few other instances. Other than that, great vid!

Well this my main phone since i got it for about a year now
As a product / UI designer, this sounds great but what if I can also have a smaller device for portability like a phone that opens up to a tablet? That's where the Fold 3 comes in. I use it as a phone 70% of the time and when I need to sketch out ideas or edit photos, I can simply just open it up and use it as a tiny tablet. The best part is I can use my MacBook Pro charger to charge my... phone😝and all of my other accessories like battery pack, ear buds, and camera. I guess if you're stuck in the Apple "ecosystem" it makes sense to get an iPad Mini but the average person doesn't realize there are other devices out there than Apple products.

To be honest I’m not so sure about the huge feeling of difference between the refresh rates bro! I am still using an iPhone 8 Plus so the iPad Mini 6’s screen still feels like an upgrade to me. 😄
I recently updated from an iPad mini 5 which I loved to the mini 6, after watching every TH-cam video on the subject, thought it would be an ideal travel companion. It is but I was totally blown away on how I prefer to pick it up rather than my iPad Pro 12.9. It has now become my go to daily driver. Great for media consumption, playing games, kindle book reading and web browsing. I would recommend it for anyone but would suggest the 256gb rather than the 64gb version.
M1 Pro, M2 Pro … yet my Mini 6 is the favorite. My buddy goes everywhere with me. No tables, keyboards, screens, or mice. No load, no worries. iPad power on the go. Light, portable, self contained.
iPad mini reminds you that iPads aren’t laptops; they’re bad arse Tablets and they don’t need anything extra. Well, maybe the pencil and a little flash drive. 😉

You can use the shortcuts app and then go to scripting to open specific apps. Then you can choose the icons you want to replace them with when you are prompted to add them to your home screen. Will probably upload a video about it very soon!

I got annoyed with Apple after they increased their sales prices for no reason at the end of 2022. Because of this I sold everything I owned, M1 MacBook Pro, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 5 (used as a modem), and my Apple TV will go to a friend when I get back to Germany.
The only Apple device that I cannot part with is the iPad mini 6.
It is beautiful.
I also realised iOS is better developed than MacOS, and with Airdroid I can transfer wirelessly between iPad mini 6, Nothing Phone 1 (Android) and my Surface Pro 5 which replaced the M1 MacBook Pro last November.
I cannot edit audio and video on an Android phone. It is painstakingly slow... I actually used the iPad mini 6 to run my entire business last year. I used to carry a Netgear modem everywhere along with a keyboard and mouse to tune engines across the UK and Europe. The screen size is pretty decent for most normal sized jobs.
I recently re-recorded my podcast videos with the iPad mini 6 and will continue using it for recording and editing. I suppose I could detach the Surface Pro keyboard and do my editing but it is too big.
The iPad mini 6 has the identical internals as the iPhone 13 Pro. Same processor. Same RAM. But it is cheaper. All of my business calls come through on Messenger or Instagram call so I don't need a phone when I go out and only want to carry my phone and the iPad.
To end, it is a great product and probably my favourite iPad ever. I also have a desktop setup for it in Germany with the keyboard mouse and monitor. No doubt I will do the same when I return home, and keep the Surface Pro strictly for music production and engine software tuning.

Oh man I appreciate your story and how you utilized your iPad Mini 6 as well! I also use mine for all business related stuff and it just won't stutter. I have yet to utilize it for editing work and incorporate it in my workflow. You just gave me an idea. Thanks so much!
