I Love the positivity and nurturing bonds between sisters there is on this channel. I have been engaged since February 10th, the night before I left to take care of my frail mother. My fiance' had to move me out of my former house almost singlehandedly before my former roommate got too far out of hand. Virtually no one is coming to the ceremony (assuming we can even make it ourselves, given the fact that my mother lives out of state, where I am now), due to issues various family and friends have with their health, our union in general, the fact that our wedding would not have alcohol, or just overall seeming lack of interest. Even the pastor hasn't gotten back to us. To say that this is a difficult season is an understatement. However, my faith, and my bond to my beloved are steadfast. He has been a gem in all of this. In fact, he proposed knowing I'd be coming to take care of my mom. He is phenomenal, and my Love grows for him every day. I just hope that with everything going on that we both live long enough to say I do. Any suggestions and prayers are greatly appreciated.
I just got engaged two weeks ago and we’re planning a Catholic wedding! Before I even knew my fiance, your videos about faith and marriage were such an inspiration to me! Prayers to you and your family!
I'm engaged currently and saving sex for marriage and it's obviously not easy. But I've found that it gains so much meaning when I focus on the fruits of this time of abstinence. A great example for me is St. Joseph, who was abstinent all his life. My prayer to him is: help me love my fiancé, for these next few months of engagement, just as you have loved Mary Your. Entire. Life. We Catholics look up to the Holy Family and to St. Joseph so much, and I think he could serve as a particular guide and friend to all of us striving not to live together before marriage ❤ He. KNEW. How. Hard. It. Was. But loved Mary and raised Jesus like a good husband and a good (adoptive) dad. What better example for us engaged couples?
May I ask why you feel Mary and Joseph remained abstinent the rest of their lives when the Bible states otherwise ? Matthew 1:25 "He had no relations with her until she bore a son,* and he named him Jesus.l"
All very important suggestions, Emily. In my time, I have seen friends enjoy wedding planning...aaaaand...not so much. I have definitely seen people go waaay down the rabbit hole of ulcerating over teeny-tiny things and in the process lose sight of the fact that the wedding is a day in the life and the marriage is the actual life. OK, yes, wedding planning can indeed be stressful, but it's sad when it isn't joyful stress! (PS I had none of the above, since I married the year I turned 50, and my boyfriend and I decided to get married and married two weeks later. At the little dock on the little lake behind our house, with four friends present, and a delightful officiant we found on the county's website.)
Thank you so much! Yes indeed i am! In case you missed my last video, it was sort of a post-sabbath-life-update :) th-cam.com/video/FyPs1WLQvo0/w-d-xo.html
When you purchase the navigating engagement, is it a one time thing, or do you purchase it and can rewatch it? I’m single, with absolutely no prospects, but was thinking it might be worth it to go through it now, then when I do get engaged, go through it again to refresh my memory. Would I be able to do that?
Enrollment is for one year! You would not find it very applicable at this moment in your life, it is SO very specific to every single thing an engaged woman would be walking through right now. My TH-cam videos and Instagram sharing (if you are on there) are more appropriate for this season for you!!
I am getting married at the end of July and so far havent had a chance to purchase the navigating engagement. Is it too late now that i am 3 month away? Most of the planning is under control, but wondering if you think it would still be useful?
Yes I do :) I recently had one gal who enrolled 4 weeks before her wedding and said it was still SO useful! The video about the wedding day would have been THE most important video for me to watch before my wedding. In it I walk you through four ways to have the most peaceful wedding day possible so you can maintain your calm and enjoy it to the fullest extent. Many of the videos are still applicable because many of them are about the disposition of your heart during this time leading up to the big day rather than planning! If you have any other q's, feel free to ask!
Hi Emily! Thank you for another amazing video. My fiance and I plan on getting married next year. We want to take advantage of this time that we have and really prepare ourselves for the sacrament of marriage. Do you have any catholic marriage prep books that you can recommend to us? Thank you for your ministry 🤗❤️
Do you think it’s possible to stay the night at each other’s apartment when visiting the other, and sleep in a separate room or on the couch while maintaining purity as long as there are strong boundaries in place?

Thank you ❤️
Great pointers!
Thank you!
Is this engagement course useful for friends that are good Christians, but not catholic?
