The most generous interpretations tend to be that it's a "test from God", while many hold with the idea that we're all innately sinful which causes disability and disease, and if you repent hard enough God will heal any disability you may have, if not now then in Heaven or during the ressurection

Pothead/budtender here 👋🏻 Weed isn't addictive in the same way other substances are, but it is possible to become dependent on it for like... helping with PTSD symptoms or chronic pain. It can feel scary to stop smoking weed because that might come with the fear of having to just *endure* distress, pain, etc., and then the whole feeling of relief when smoking weed again after awhile... it can definitely resemble addiction, but even at the most extreme level, it's still nowhere near the seriousness of alcohol or opioid addiction.
@@coloradoing9172yeah but a lot of people just smoke for fun and they smoke everyday. they're dependent on it without needing it. i don't get why someone would want thc instead of cbd if they need it for medical reasons
I love how this piece or propaganda portrayed the JW girl as need to the point of absurdity and the worldly girl as a slob. Also, note the part where the worldly girl gave up her seat on the train for the elderly lady. This taught me two things: 1.) The JWs are so strict the members develop severe cases of OCD and... 2.) You can't expect a JW to give up their seat on a train because they only care about themselves.
I was engaged once, but we broke up on February 14th, 2012 due to her considering me not "religious enough". This, despite me growing up as a Christian and she becoming a Christian at about 26 years old, and me having read the entre Holy Bible while she could only quote what the pastor taught her. By that point I was educated enough in theology to no longer be interested in church; she was fully indoctrinated and basically lived in church. Twelve years later, we're still unmarried and childless. I also studied with Jehovah's Witnesses as a child, but turned away when I came across the "no blood transfusions" rule (I always wanted to be a medical doctor). So yeah, I lost the cringe challenge multiple times in this video, and I would advise everyone to seriously consider if any God of love would prefer its creations to pay such heavy prices and pass up the opportunity to save a life just to prove themselves to it (a God that can already read hearts). And just to be clear, there is no "J" in Hebrew, Greek or Latin, and there was no such letter in English until about the 16th Century, so "Jehovah Jireh" is definitely not the name of the Christian God.
ExJW Panda, I love the parody you put into these videos, I almost fell out my chair when you show the cult alert signal. Great stuff man. Looking to become a member when the video is finished. Good stuff.
As someone who's only married to an ex JW and was never a believer myself, I still find your content so necessary. Everyone should be aware of what's going on in the cult! Jade and Nita was the best LGBTQIA movie ever thank you ❤
My question is how are these people maintaining such high standards in terms of clothing, housing etc when most of them are discouraged from going to college/ maintaining relevant connections + the unpaid work that is "preaching". In all videos, including animated ones I've seen only bright, big houses and good clothes. In today's world without a good salary you're basically cooked and yet they're totally fine.
I was never particularly certain with regard to the miniature mansions on decent-sized plots of land (other than the fact that some made good livings before becoming witnesses). But, as far as other things are concerned, I’ve always been able to find good clothes at thrift stores. The best suit I ever owned was one I bought at a thrift store. It was a three-piece suit which fit in such a way as though it seemed it had been cut and tailored specifically for me. And it cost me only $10. At the time (thirty years ago), if I had bought a similar suit new, it probably would have cost me more on the order of $100-150. Even now (and no longer being a witness), I still can’t see dropping that kind of money on a suit-even if I could afford to. I realize that I’m probably showing my age, but, the way I figure it, why spend ten to fifteen times more than I need to on something new when I could buy an older model of the same thing and it’s built to last due to quality materials?
@@thomash.schwed3662 Yeah, fair enough, thrift stores do have good clothes if you dig deep enough. But idk maybe it's because I live in a country where having smart watches, good phones (even a tablet lol even if it's used for preaching) indicates having a good salary. Not to mention having an apartment of your own (or at least not without inheriting). Also the rent of their apartment must be huge and I don't see a situation where they'll live forever and share the rent (considering at some point it will be "christian" of them to marry and have a bunch of kids). Overall, the videos are kinda manipulative in this manner too, their lives is all bright, shiny with everything they need while everyone else is miserable.
It's funny that these series of "instructional" videos had the unintended consequence of displaying a gay romance. It's sad that they discontinued these videos as they left some plot holes. Jokes aside, it was refreshing to see "Jade" and "Neeta" ("Rita" and "Coral" in Spanish) as, contrary to most JW actors and speakers, they were naturals and I could get caught in their acting, they were really good. You can see their chemistry, charisma, expressions, and their tone of voices, and believe everything is real on them. I'll miss them.
As someone who converted to Judaism when I was in undergrad, one of the things that's interesting is that it was made abundantly clear to me is that academics came first, not Judaism. Mind you Judaism deeply values education (both secular and religious) and isn't a proselytizing religion, but what a juxtaposition.
I tried to (cautiously) suggest to a teenager who had studied on and off to research everything he was told and said maybe look at the government produced information from Australia and after a few days I got blocked…. I use weed a lot for cancer pain, and it's not physically addictive like opioids or even alcohol can be. However, it CAN be psychologically addicting. I've known more than one person who just can't go for even a day or two without getting stoned, but that kind of dependency requires intense usage, like basically being baked 24/7, and is usually associated with other mental health issues like depression or anxiety. It's not the kind of thing that a normal perspn tries once and gets hooked like crack or meth, and it also doesn't cause the extreme cognitive or behavioral changes that JWs like to imply. Alcohol is by FAR a worse drug on every single measurable level, including physical health.
🙏🏼 Amen! I am one of the dependent need to be baked 24/7 people you described lol. And yes I have a slew of mental health disorders. But most people who partake are as you said. It is the mildest recreational drug and most don’t get dependent on it. I’m glad it helps your cancer pain!!! Wishing you health and happiness! 💗🫶🏼💗
@lovelovelovelovelove616 No. It's Stage 4. I *will* end up dying soon. Whether it's one year or ten is the only question. My last prognosis was 12-18 months, but I'm at 15 since then and tolerating the chemo well, so who in knows. Short of a miracle, it's not going to end well for me. But at least it looks like I'll have more time than they originally thought. So, IDK. I'm just trying to get my affairs in order and make sure I leave behind something so that my partner at least has something to establish himself in a new life. He's giving up so much to take care of me and it's all I can do to repay him. I just want to do something good with whatever time I have left. I don't wanna waste it.

I've been obsessed with your videos lately Panda! And the longer I keep up the more aware I am of how fucked up my time with the church was. I wasn’t a JW, but I was indoctrinated into the ICOC in my first year of college (Very similar tbh in terms of rules, multiple mandatory weekly meetings and special missions. They were only more lax about dress codes...) They approached me at a very vulnerable time in my life and "love bombed" me with guys who supposedly wanted to be my friend. It makes me bitter to think that they were only there to convert me- and it made it that much harder to leave. I only left because they told me if I really loved God and the church I would convert or leave my girlfriend of 5 years and my parents- who were all I had at the time- and start I felt conflicted and alone in my descision until finding this channel :^)
Ex JW here (hiiiiii fellow Ex-JW's!)!!! Tbh, i love (personally) to believe that Jade and Neeta ended up leaving the cult (by choice or not), becoming a couple, adopting kids and living a happy life! I hope they (the actual actresses) can get out of this cult and live a happy, chill and fulfilling life out of the cult!!! (Also hi again, Ex JW Panda! Love your videos and im planning on making my short storytime of being a Ex-JW and how I left the religion- it's simplish for me lmao. Thank you for being such a huge inspo for me, dude! Remember, don't let anyone tell you to come over to see there aquarium! Jehovah says that thats the way to immortality 😅😅! (This is somewhat sarcastic lol)
What is Neeta’s problem with Jades boyfriend she hasn’t even met the guy and has only heard good things about him and she wants to separate Jade from him all because he’s an unbeliever? Can you spell toxic friend?
Medical user here, most "dependencies" like this come from the fact that its actually treating the problem at hand. You crave it because it, uh, works for you. Its like craving Tylenol when you hurt yourself
And they were roommates! OMJ (Oh my Jehovah) what a brilliant finding! BTW I'm brought up by 'Reformatorische' Christians, a christian fundamentalist subgroup in the Netherlands. I will later this morning call the church to withdraw me.

Ok, this is probably a nitpick, but Neeta says she's having friends over, implying they're coming to her place, well how could a single pioneer sister afford such a nice yard? If it was the community yard at her apartment complex, then there would be neighbor kids running around lol
Depending on the apartment building, the manager will allow a resident to use a community area. All the resident needs to do is write out a form stating the date, time and purpose of the get-together and, occasionally, pay a nominal fee for the use of the area as well as tables and chairs.
this is painful and despressing to watch... even though it is fictional it just hurts to know that there are people out there who really do lose their lives like this
My headcannon is that they both get excommunicated for possibly being lovers and have to stand by each other as they put their lives back together as they slowly learn to love eachother
Yes. However, the Society wants Jehovah’s witnesses to see themselves first and foremost (if not strictly and only) as Jehovah’s witnesses. That scene is merely another way in which the Society reinforces such a view. The quashing of individual personality-right down to the forced rejection of one’s ethnicity and background-is bad enough. But, it’s absolutely disgraceful and sickening that the writers wrote this scene so as to put the question in the mouth of the rightly disposed person (Jade) instead of that of the witness (Nita).
❤ tho i don't agree calling the pink people caucasian because the caucus mountains are on the border of Europe and Asia and Africa-arabia....Caucasity😂🤣🤣🤣
I lost the cringe challenge quickly, at the contrast between Jade and Neeta's lifestyles. Is Neeta how the Watchtower portrays an ideal woman? Are JW women expected to lay their outfits out on the bed before putting them on, or make sure that their breakfast items are perpendicular to each other?
@@tanyacarbajal3597 yeah, I noticed how gorgeous and elaborate Neeta's yard was during the backyard gathering scene. How does she afford that place when her and her roommate are both Pioneers?
Coming from someone who uses weed both medicinally and recreationally quite a bit, its pretty much impossible to get chemically addicted (like you can with alcohol or tobacco) but it can be behaviourally addictive (like how you can be addicted to gambling). Personally, I've never experienced either even tho I do use quite a bit. I just finished a one week "medicinal only" break and only used it once in that period and that was for severe pain. I had 0 issues other than an occasional "eh i could do with some weed rn" while playing video games or watching a comedy show before just continuing with my day. In terms of impact weed has had on my life, its been incredibly positive for both my mental health (ptsd mostly) and for my physical health as it helps with chronic pain which allows me to leave the house way more than before I was using it.
38:59 Holy crap this part is toxic af Imagine your partner meets up with a new friend for in the end to convince them that dating you is a bad thing. When you didn’t do anything wrong. Manipulation is their secret weapon.
The problem here is that Jade and Ollie were beyond dating at that point. They were, to use the Society’s language, committing fornication. Indeed, they were most likely living together by this time. Therein lies the issue as far as the Society is concerned. If they were simply dating, the thrust of the demonstration would have been to “encourage” Ollie to begin studying and become a witness himself with a view to he and Jade marrying if they had so planned. The Society had to double back and address that-in that sick and twisted way of the Society-in the sequel, as seen later in this video. In other words, what the Society does here is even worse.
I still vividly remember one saturday morning at the age of six there was a knock at the door and it was a mom and her son and they were both dressed nice and super serious and they asked if my parents were home then my mom came to the door they handed her a booklet and she just slammed the door in their face and threw the booklet in the trash and when I asked who those people were my mom just said they’re a cult that doesn’t celebrate any holidays and doesn’t believe in fun…my mom was based at that moment 🙌
Weed can cause dependancy, 100 percent. I was a daily, multiple times a day smoker, and had to stop smoking for financial and health reasons, it was really hard.
I know a dude who can barely spend a few hours without it, and gets angry when we question his habits or say anything negative about it. He is a sweet guy, but I feel like I never truly met him cause he is always either smoking or drinking
50:03 I’ve never smoked weed before, but as someone who has struggled with an addiction (self-harm) this is actually 100% accurate. Feeling how you can’t live without it, still keeping it with you even when your trying to be clean even though it’ll make you relapse, and the overall pain of being away from it is exactly how my and many others addictions feel. But you wanna know how I beat that addiction? An actual licensed therapist, not a JW study group.
I had a witness come to my door a couple years back, they asked if id like to live forever. I replied my lifes been pretty crappy and id go insane but thanks. They have not been back 😂 The weed thing, i have a bit of a dependency on it but trying to quit.

This is actually insane. This reads like a lesbian romance where they should have ended up running away together at the end to heal their religious trauma
dw there is a romance book based on this called Forever and Always
@@harrymg8458 awesome…
Pothead/budtender here 👋🏻
Weed isn't addictive in the same way other substances are, but it is possible to become dependent on it for like... helping with PTSD symptoms or chronic pain.
@@felixmae9201 👏🏻🥰🍃
It's like saying sleep is addictive because you can't go on without it. Lots of people need pot to deal with stress and mental health.
@@coloradoing9172yeah but a lot of people just smoke for fun and they smoke everyday. they're dependent on it without needing it. i don't get why someone would want thc instead of cbd if they need it for medical reasons
It's not an addiction to "weed" it's an addiction to "being able to function".
I legitimately thought this was a series about two bi curious girls and How they overcame that with jehovah ☠️ their chemistry is crazy high
Nah my gay radar thinks that neeta is 100% a lesbian
I love how this piece or propaganda portrayed the JW girl as need to the point of absurdity and the worldly girl as a slob. Also, note the part where the worldly girl gave up her seat on the train for the elderly lady. This taught me two things:
1.) The JWs are so strict the members develop severe cases of OCD and...
2.) You can't expect a JW to give up their seat on a train because they only care about themselves.
I saw that too… it was kinda sad :/
Dude the ocd thing is real
2nd is great. They really despise "worldy" people. They have no need to give up their seat for them.
Jade x Anita is canon and you can't change my mind
Yep it is jehova told me so 🙏
Jehova told me Jade and Anita got married after leaving the cult🙏
This is canon because I was the priest 🙏😇
One needs to make a fanfic about the girlies getting out of the cult and being freely queer
😭🙏🏼
There actually is a full book about that called, “Forever and Always: Jehovah’s Forbidden Love Story” you should totally check it out
At least Jade's mom has actual common sense
Jade and Neeta definitely have something going on. I wonder if they left the cult and got together. Hmm, we need an update on them.
"they soon realized their love was not for Jehovah, but for each other"
ExJW Panda, I love the parody you put into these videos, I almost fell out my chair when you show the cult alert signal. Great stuff man. Looking to become a member when the video is finished. Good stuff.
As someone who's only married to an ex JW and was never a believer myself, I still find your content so necessary. Everyone should be aware of what's going on in the cult! Jade and Nita was the best LGBTQIA movie ever thank you ❤
5:23 i had to triple take bc I didn’t realize it was your editing for a second and was baffled.
Well some woman do marry unbelievers
Otherwise, how they fund all their needs.
They made it big in the MLM pyramid scheme.
4:37 “I’m late but I still had time to check out your cult.”
I tried to (cautiously) suggest to a teenager who had studied on and off to research everything he was told and said maybe look at the government produced information from Australia and after a few days I got blocked…. Their instruction is clear, do not look at anything not endorsed or produced by the Borg and don’t believe anything that’s negative, while at the same time homing in on negative reports about other religions. I heard this teenager was baptised this weekend 😢anyhow good stuff as usual xxx
That made me sad 😔 at least you tried
They will have to learn on their own, it's the most effective way to wake up from a cult.
Watchtower being so oblivious to the fact they made a lesbian romance movie will never not be funny
"let's try and find the bed, we'll work from there" 😂
i cant believe they scammed us out of them kissing🙁💔
never once in my life did i think i would one day see a jacknjellify character talking on youtube about how they wanted two jehovah's witnesses to kiss. we live in the best timeline.
I ship them so much...in my fanfic they escape together.
Yo where can I read your fanfic online.
I'd love to read that
I was joking haha, but now I feel I have to wrote It xD.

I LOVE being baked 24/7 but I can also do without. I won't freak out or lose my shit or crave a toke if I go a couple days without weed. 😂
And we see in a past episode an elder visiting a liquor store.

1:47 I lost. Just because you are Jw doesn't mean you are suddenly a morning person and your room is perfectly organized. My mornings were always chaotic when I was a jw because I actually had to go to school early and I'm not a morning person
wordly people are messy and chaotic because they dont have jehova ofc
Yes! I understand that most movies and TV shows depict "aspirational living", but these videos are on another level!
I’m gonna write a fanfic about how Jade and neeta find out they’re in a cult, run away, and then become a married lesbian couple with seven dogs and three kids
4:44 imma be honest, she probably came back for Neeta, not Jehova.
What a treat for this Friday morning. Thanks for the video!
"Try and find the bed, we'll work from there." 🥵
34:40 every time these sweaty doomsday cult old men pop on my screen it’s a jumpscare
Neeta likes Jade
Jealousy can be a bitch
More like toxic yuri lol
Jk
This just feels like a sad forbidden love story 😢
I laughed out loud at "she's off to unpaidlaborland" 😂😂😂
“Let’s start with the bed”! Oh yes, pleaaaaaassssseeee!
Medical user here, most "dependencies" like this come from the fact that its actually treating the problem at hand. You crave it because it, uh, works for you. Its like craving Tylenol when you hurt yourself
0/10 not enough apartment aquariums
And they were roommates! OMJ (Oh my Jehovah) what a brilliant finding! BTW I'm brought up by 'Reformatorische' Christians, a christian fundamentalist subgroup in the Netherlands. I will later this morning call the church to withdraw me.
Good luck!
Succes ❤
As always, wicked video! This is new to me because I've been out of the cult for 20 years. And I was completely out of it a while but now I'm trying to get my parents out so I watch all this stuff. You're a rockstar. Thank you for sharing.😊
All the resident needs to do is write out a form stating the date, time and purpose of the get-together and, occasionally, pay a nominal fee for the use of the area as well as tables and chairs.
this is painful and despressing to watch... even though it is fictional it just hurts to know that there are people out there who really do lose their lives like this
Initially, I was with the light-hearted vibe of the narrator. However, Jade's self-imposed isolation from her mother really bothered me.
My headcannon is that they both get excommunicated for possibly being lovers and have to stand by each other as they put their lives back together as they slowly learn to love eachother
The Caucasity of a white British girl asking a Caribbean woman "YOU like reggae???"
LMAO
I lost the cringe challenge quickly, at the contrast between Jade and Neeta's lifestyles.
Is Neeta how the Watchtower portrays an ideal woman? Are JW women expected to lay their outfits out on the bed before putting them on, or make sure that their breakfast items are perpendicular to each other?
They wants the woman like Neeta...
With a Disorder xD
Like "aligned spoon to take it again to eat and unaligne it" xD
They also expect them to somehow have enough money to never look poor. They always frowned on my mom and me for struggling financially.
In terms of impact weed has had on my life, its been incredibly positive for both my mental health (ptsd mostly) and for my physical health as it helps with chronic pain which allows me to leave the house way more than before I was using it.
thats the gayest propaganda i have ever seen
You should make T-shirts that say "worldly and proud" and then a pic of tight pants lmao
38:59 Holy crap this part is toxic af
Imagine your partner meets up with a new friend for in the end to convince them that dating you is a bad thing.
Ah yes, the secret 11th technique: flirt to convert
When Jades mom said, "This is all the time I have with you" my heart shattered😢💔
50:12 It absolutely causes dependency. I speak from personal experience. Great work as always Panda
Does it cause chemical as well as psychological dependency?

God looked upon the earth and said, “Lesbians are good now.”
My headcanon: Jade is bi and Neeta is lesbian. Cult propaganda aside, they're a cute couple and I totally ship them.

What a perfect way to start my day. Thanks Panda!
