Great Central Railway Winter Gala 2025 Featuring 6880 Betton Grange, 3850, 6695

Yesterday (25th Jan) marked the traditional trip to the Great Central for there annual Winter Gala Event. With an excellent forecast and visitors featuring 6880 Betton Grange, GWR 2-8-0 3850 & 6695 out on the line. A trip had to be made for the first event of the year. With an intensive timetable there’s never a chance to get bored and I missed one or two workings I wanted due to changing locations. But with all the visitors featured at least twice, including home fleet locos Standard 5 73156 and Austerity 68067 it turned out to be a good day in excellent conditions. Well done to the GC on another cracking event.
