I'd love to have a Spartan with modular modules such as medical bay or cargo transport (either your typical truck trailer platform or a reinforced enclosed cargo trunck !
Ballista nerfed really bad. Hellion/torps used to allow 50meter to 30km lock on. When cig added mm, they redid all missle/torps. They did not consider the ballista. Hellions were supposed to be bespoke to ballista only too. Not anymore.
In the case of defense These would be best setup in a multi unit defense battery. If you are defending something like your orgs base you would have nearby missile storage at the ready.
They did it dirty in 3.24. The ballista used to be a force of nature. 50m min lock on and a crazy small EM signature meant pilots had no idea it was there until it launched. It was about the best anti-try hard in the game. Look how they massacred my boy!
lol I made it known in chat before hand that I was on location looking for a fight. But yeah, the ballista is a nasty thing to get targeting you on approach!
Amazing vehicle to have outside of JumpTown. Working with air cover to keep the flow of drugs running. Outside of that one situation the vehicle has no missions for use. Because of that I would not buy the vehicle unless its JumpTown and you are using store credit with the understanding you will melt the Ballista at the end of the event.
This looks fun to me in a ground assault type missions a few these with friends in other stuff too would he great. Now they need a ground carrier that can haul 1 or vehicles limited guns as its a dropship style with quick in and out speed and appropriate tankiness to carry these in and out reliably.
... and I thought the Centurion was broken when I tried to gun down one of those landingzone-strafing npc bit**es from outside the zone. But in case you don't know what I'm talking about: The guns on the Centurion don't deal any damage (3.23.1) to ships inside such armistice zones, not even when you park outside and fire into that zone... ... not even against those annoying bots. Yet THEY can shoot and damage stuff there all day long. Thanks for the review. Vehicles like the Ballista need support, like a lightly armed ammo truck. Imagine being able to restock those missiles in the field!
I love ground vehicles but the that's-not-physics makes them wacky. I'm not into combat but I do have a G12 pledged and I'd be tickled silly to see passenger vehicles and 18-wheelers.

Such a cool line of ships that A) need a far higher ground clearance
And B) need a purpose.
It and the base spartan are something I always want to have in my pledge hangar, can't justify the price. Forever earned ingame. Great review!

I would love for more ground vehicle gameplay. at the very least I'm hoping we can put npc's in them to defend out homestead.
I think if those turrets where at least size 3, they would give ships closing distance a little more to think about.
I plan to try to get every ground vehicle in the game, would be awesome when you continue making reviews on the ground vehicles side.

Unlike the Ballista the stabilizers on the Centurion work. Well they move down they don't seem to do anything when down.
Aaaand the 890 Jump does not have a rear cargo ramp. Bummer. It does fit on the cargo elevator though.
