    What do you think of this potential offseason and what moves do you want to see Orlando make?

    I said this in another comment, but I think Simons would be great for our team. He also has pretty deep ties to the organization, because he's from Orlando, and was named after one of our GOATs. If all it takes is those two and some draft picks, I love it.

      Oh yeah I think the story of it is great! Not a ton of players would be excited to play for Orlando but he might be one of them! Fits the team needs right now as well. Feels like destiny haha!

    Why give 2 picks for Simons when you can just sign Malik monk with cap space. They are the exact same player shot creating combo guards who aren’t great defensively. I would rather go get Murray or Mitchell before them

    • @_AVC_

      I think one is more realistic than the other. They are totally very similar players though you are right. I think Simmons offers more off the dribble but that’s semantics. I personally don’t see Monk leaving.

      @javiernoris3496 16 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@_AVC_ Sacramento cannot offer him more money per year than a team with Cap space like the magic. Sacramento is over the cap so the max they can offer Monk is a $19.5 million per year average, starting at $17.4 million next season. The Magic or Detroit for example can probably justify 25M/yr offer for him. From the Magic side, they can do this and keep the picks/players you traded away for Simmons. Monk gets a starting spot instead of having to be a bench player which he has stated he doesn't want to be a bench player. I like both routes but the Monk idea also is very possible. I also personally think one of Deangelo Russell or Tyus Jones are very likely to go to the Magic. Whichever one doesn't go to the Spurs.

Also he’s coming in to be the 2nd or 3rd option and he’s never played with two 6’10” forwards that can go get their own buckets. He could statistically have his best season back home in Orlando. As far as Claxton goes I worry about that fit. I know we want an upgrade at center and he’s the best available, but I want the priority to be making sure Franz/Paolo/Suggs are set up for success. @AVC_Streams Tyus Jones shot 41% from 3 last season. His best season, yes but not too much of an aberration. He shot 37% and 39% the previous two seasons.
      Claxton doesn't give floor spacing, but with a real point guard (Tyus Jones) he'll be much more of a cutting and lob threat to go with his rim protection.

      And I fully believe in Jett as a shooter.

      I worry about Franz’s shooting as well. His career best is average but his form suggests he can be better. I just don’t want you to lock in on the best available players right now just to have them. Gotta build this team the right way.

His 3pt % has been good for the past 3 seasons. The best thing is that we don't need to give up draft picks for him.
      I think if Magic can sign Tyus and Monk or Hields, it will spread the floor enough for Paolo and Franz and Suggs will hopefully continue to growth. Having a PG that dish out 7+ assist per game without turning the ball over will significantly help this young team in the playoff.
