I was in the crowd at that game. Unbelievable atmosphere. Several Mexican waves. Chanting the national anthem towards the end of the game still gives me goose bumps just from watching on tv. When me and my friends got home around 4.30am we put the taped game on and watched it again :)
True. The question is if the term is geographical or if it defines a set of people in a certain area who have a common history. I'd say. The term Scandinavia originates from the term Skåne.. which is a part of Sweden. It has nothing to do with Norway.
Most Danes believe that the kingdom is a part of Scandinavia, which in a geographic sense is not true. Scandinavia is a peninsula consisting of two countries; Norway and Sweden and small parts of Finland. But in a historic sense Denmark is considered to be a part of Scandinavia. And I am NOT ignoring Wikipedia - I am just quoting ;-) Besides both you and I have got the ability to change wikipedia, so if I was you, I wouldn't believe everything I read at this webpage.
hm.. so what if it is not "geographically" a part of scandinavia? If you have to tell someone what a scandinavian is, you find that they are culturally the same as Danes - furthermore, the long history of danish rule in these countries, and the fact that the danes are people who emigrated from skåne (in modern sweden) to the area now called denmark are all things which support a redefinition of the term. If that is indeed the current definition i will consider it faulty.
hm... Iceland was offered independence from Denmark. Instead Iceland chose to symbolically "take" their own independence. That is not a very friendly gesture. Thus Denmark has no special relationship with Iceland.
Gravesen : Bolt's posture . 2:45 My favourite Nordic team was has always been Sweden but I actually also like Denmark . Danish had great Players:Laudrups(The Legendary Brotherhood),Rieper a good Defend wall even if they were made their International retiring, Helveg,Gravesen( the psycho mad dog),Tofting (The Lawn mower),Gronkjaer,Peter Moller,Sand and Tomasson. But my Best Players was B.Laudrup and Gronkjaer because of their technical skills.
What do you mean by "just like most danes" ? dont ignore wiki... look at the citations. There are many sources arguing that Denmark is part of scandinavia. The inability to provide a valid counter-argument, with the relevant sources, is what makes one the loser in a debate. So please - Sources for you arguments.
Well the old Scandenavia was only Sweden and Norway, known as the Scandenavian Peninsula, but Denmark became a part of it due to the large history the three contries have together, Norden, as we call it in danish is Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Faore Islands and Greenland..
It's hard to tell. It really depends on the definition, which there is plenty of. However I consider Denmark to be part of the European mainland, because Jutland is connected to and borders, our only land connected neighbor, Germany
Sealand - the danish island.. is as much part of the scandinavian peninsula as the european peninsula? its closer to sweden than Jutland. Bornholm is part of denmark.. the island is part of scandinavia? and if finland is part of scandinavia due to the small parts that are within the borders, then why is denmark not?
In a geographic term Scandinavia is a peninsula: Sweden & Norway and small parts of Finland and Denmark is NOT part of that! And I am through discussing that with you
The Danish Kingdom Greenland, Iceland and Denmark are the best combo in the World Greenland and Iceland proud to have you as a part of the tiny Kingdom :P
The danish language sounds very funny...... In wonder why it's spelled "Ebbe SÄND" though it's written "Ebbe SAND". He has played in Germany for so many years, and nobody spelled his name the right way.....
@TranzoBoy Oh I'm sorry, I thought I had your permission. I retract everything I said then. I'll ask for a signed permission contract next time I criticize something I don't like.
You are not an ass, JensJakob. You are just like most Danes.... Geographilal speaking Denmark is NOT a part of Scandinavia. You should be able to read about this on Wikipedia
We learn Danish in Icelandic schools but it's such a crappy language I went out of my way to forget it. Anyways, Iceland will always suck at football and we won't qualify for the World Cup this... century. Good luck to the Danes, you got put it in an easy group and I look forward to hearing you choking on apples. Oh right, that's just the way you speak.

that freekick is fucking awesome

Guys, you are unbelievable :-D
Chill out with that discussion and just enjoy the beautiful game that unites us all, Scandinavians or not.
Thanks for the upload :)
the first game i ever saw for denmark
hm... Iceland was offered independence from Denmark. Instead Iceland chose to symbolically "take" their own independence.

I missed the days with tøffe og thomas g. Viking power
hahaha the laughter of the narrator at gravensen goal is hilarious.....
I saw this match in Parken Stadium...
hvordan finder du disse gamle tv udsendelser ???
GRAVESEN!!!...
KLASSE! :P

To me, what you said right there, is a good explanation of how bad their shapes are.
We own Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands. For many years Sweden and Norway too. We rule the north lol.
Yes.. Denmak is a part of scandinavia.
Today they would probably beat us by that amount.
In a geographic term Scandinavia is a peninsula: Sweden & Norway and small parts of Finland and Denmark is NOT part of that!
And I am through discussing that with you
wow old video
The Danish Kingdom Greenland, Iceland and Denmark are the best combo in the World Greenland and Iceland proud to have you as a part of the tiny Kingdom :P
Denmark had a really good team a few years ago.....
Glemmer aldrig den kamp! :D
Nope!
Scandinavia is a peninsular consisting of 2 countries: Norway and Sweden
Gravesen var guld... !
right... so is Sicily.
Det var de gode dage
The Scandinavian 5 - Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Iceland!
Finland and Iceland is not a part of Scandinavia
Did all of you guys know that Royal League was a scandinavian cup? And were any of Findlands teams in it? Nooooooo!!
på dansk? :O
However it does mention what I wrote
okay :)
hvor fanden bliver man thumbed down fordi man spørger ? xD
I found in10forever in here too
Denmark #FTW
Owned!!
@TranzoBoy Oh I'm sorry, I thought I had your permission. I retract everything I said then. I'll ask for a signed permission contract next time I criticize something I don't like.
and its crap btw.. just read the english wiki.. its centered on the peninsula.. not ONLY on the peninsula.
You are not an ass, JensJakob. You are just like most Danes....

Buller Bassen kom nu tilbage til Landsholdet :)
We learn Danish in Icelandic schools but it's such a crappy language I went out of my way to forget it. Good luck to the Danes, you got put it in an easy group and I look forward to hearing you choking on apples. Oh right, that's just the way you speak.
are you still alive???? because they actually qualify in this century Fyrir Island!!
Denmark have and will always own Iceland in everything. Lol..
Sjovt at se de kommentarer for 12 år siden :)
stavefejl? :D
kort og godt: præcis
Det var tider :D
If you made an intelligent statement I would comment what you wrote
Det tror jeg nu heller ikke :(
Scandinavia!
Ja det tror du jo vi gør.
Det var satme tider.............
hm. not gonna bother. whatever - if you are right, i guess scandinavia is not that cool after all ;-)
Yep - it sure does, but it's wrong!
