- @HouseofPearls knocked the first phase of this project OUT OF THE PARK! My 1978 Monte Carlo now sports a bolt on GlassTek Fiberglass hood, and outlaw chin spoiler!
Now it’s time to begin the drivetrain swap from its anemic 3.8 V6 & Saginaw 4 speed, to its new TWIN TURBO 440ci Small Block Chevy and Tremec TKX 5 Speed! - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ

Having friends and networking is so important in the racing/custom built industry! The SRC family is the perfect example how you don’t need to be a millionaire just good people and you can’t just talk on your computer you have to get out there for real life experience! What they’re doing for Addy is so cool for a 14/15 yr old👍🏻 Parents start them young in a positive community so they have a healthy hobby👍🏻
The young people at House of Pearls do awesome work. Nicky is an absolute pro at cutting and buffing. Also Bill is such a great guy the way he helps people like he helped Attie get her Jr. license.
I love how bill puts together a top notch video that includes the 4th of July- he gets awesome footage and edits it together brilliantly then has it uploaded to TH-cam by the 5th of July. Nobody I know in the racing/race car TH-cam community does it as efficiently and quickly as Bill and still has the highest standards!

Ive been using a rod bolt stretch guage for over 30 years now. It helps alot with piece of mind on any engine, definitely worth it.

This Monte Carlo took me back to my great aunt who passed away when she was 111 years old and she had a 1978 Chevy Monte Carlo cream exterior, white rag top, cream interior and I remember the many times she would take me out on long rides as a little boy and she would tell me stories as she was driving of the places she visited while in her car. Part of the reason i got into cars to begin with. Your Monte Carlo brought back so many wonderful memories of her because she was my hero and practically saved my life protecting me from a rough childhood growing up and her car was a huge part of that. I appreciate and will continue to follow this build. I love and follow this channel, the Street Racing Channel as well as the Gen 2 Garage Channel. I love the videos and content all of you create and appreciate the stories you share and bringing us along with you on your journey. Keep doing what you’re doing. Thank you and God Bless1

No one is going to believe me, but I had this EXACT car! From the factory, 4 - on the floor! It was awesome! Mine had a rebuild 305 in it and was black on black with the red interior! I bought it after I got back from the first golf war ! Installed a set of hooker headers and dual glass packs, lowered gear in the rear, and it was a mover! Loved that car ,and wish I still had it! Not as clean as this one, though!
That monte is awesome. I bought a 78 monte in 1997 to swap the motor out into a nova and junked the body. At the time I absolutely hated that body style. I wish I’d have kept it. They’re so beautiful.

The rod bolt deal is kinda new information. During Covid when everything came to a halt, rods that were shelved sat for much longer periods of time than usual. As a result, rod failures became much more common, regardless of manufacturer. It the consensus that the sitting torqued is what was causing failure. I have a brand new set of 6.200 R&R rods that will most likely be used as paperweights.

The body shop does an awesome paint work on all the vehicles that you had done by them I wish I lived closer to you to have the rest of my magnum done by them. I always have to watch you and your sons channel even when I was in the hospital for a month I always had to watch both channels keep up with the great work I hope JR a fast recovery

Always enjoy your videos and i agree with replacing the factory ac-box with aftermarket. I'm doing a 2000 s-10 ls swap and i kept the factory stuff with modified box, but removing and replacing it with an aftermarket type, it's got plenty of room to work on this thing. Keep up the good work and tell Ms. Vicky and the "Boys " hi
